²⁹ nor will I hide my face any more from them. For I have poured out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, says the lord LORD.

¹⁵ until the Spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be esteemed as a forest.

³ For I will pour water upon him who is thirsty, and streams upon the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring. ⁴ And they shall spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses. ⁵ One shall say, I am LORD's, and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob, and another shall subscribe with his hand to LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

¹⁷ But Israel shall be saved by LORD with an everlasting salvation. Ye shall not be put to shame nor confounded world without end.

⁸ In overflowing wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment, but with everlasting loving kindness I will have mercy on thee, says LORD thy Redeemer. ⁹ For this is as the waters of Noah to me. For as I have sworn that the waters of Noah shall no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with thee, nor rebuke thee. ¹⁰ For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed, but my loving kindness shall not depart from thee, nor shall my covenant of peace be removed, says LORD who has mercy on thee.

²⁰ And he who redeems will come to Zion, and to those who turn from transgression in Jacob, says LORD. ²¹ And as for me, this is my covenant with them, says LORD: My Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, says LORD, from henceforth and forever.

²⁵ And I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols. ²⁶ I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my ordinances, and do them.

²⁶ Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them. It shall be an everlasting covenant with them, and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. ²⁷ My tabernacle shall also be with them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

²³ And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity, because they trespassed against me, and I hid my face from them. So I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they fell all of them by the sword. ²⁴ I did to them according to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions. And I hid my face from them. ²⁵ Therefore thus says the lord LORD: Now I will bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel. And I will be jealous for my holy name.

²⁸ And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your old men shall dream dreams. Your young men shall see visions.

¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication. And they shall look to me whom they have pierced. And they shall mourn for him, as a man mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as a man who is in bitterness for his firstborn.

¹⁷ And it will be in the last days, says God, I will pour out from my Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your elders will dream dreams. ¹⁸ And also on my bondmen and on my bondmaids in those days I will pour out from my Spirit, and they will prophesy.

³³ Therefore, exalted by the right hand of God, and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, he poured out this that ye now see and hear.

²⁴ And he who keeps his commandments abides in him, and he in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, from the Spirit that he gave us.
