⁸ But if thou are going, do it. Be strong for the battle, because God will cast thee down before the enemy, for God has power to help, and to cast down.

¹⁸ But thou shall remember LORD thy God, for it is he who gives thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to thy fathers, as at this day.

⁷ And LORD said to Gideon, By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into thy hand. And let all the people go every man to his place.

⁶ And Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, Come, and let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that LORD will work for us, for there is no limitation to LORD to save by many or by few.

⁶ And he said, O LORD, the God of our fathers, are thou not God in heaven? And are thou not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? And in thy hand is power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee.

¹⁸ For he injures, and binds up. He wounds, and his hands make whole.

¹³ God will not withdraw his anger. The helpers of Rahab stoop under him.

⁷ Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will make mention of the name of LORD our God.

¹ The earth is LORD's, and the fullness thereof, the world, and those who dwell therein.

¹⁰ LORD brings the counsel of the nations to naught. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.

¹⁶ There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

¹¹ God has spoken once, twice I have heard this, that power belongs to God.

²² The blessing of LORD, it makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

¹¹ I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill, but time and chance happens to them all.

⁹ Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth, and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thy heart, and in the sight of thine eyes. But know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

⁹ Make an uproar, O ye peoples, and be broken in pieces. And give ear, all ye of far countries. Gird yourselves, and be broken in pieces. ⁹ Proclaim ye this among the nations: Prepare war. Stir up the mighty men. Let all the men of war draw near. Let them come up. ¹⁰ Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning-hooks into spears. Let the weak say, I am strong. ¹¹ Hasten ye, and come, all ye nations round about, and gather yourselves together. Cause thy mighty ones to come down there, O LORD. ¹² Let the nations bestir themselves, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the nations round about. ¹³ Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread ye, for the winepress is full, the vats overflow. For their wickedness is great. ¹⁴ Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of LORD is near in the valley of decision.

⁸ The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, says LORD of hosts.

⁴⁵ Then he comes to his disciples, and says to them, Sleep what remains, and take rest. Behold, the hour has come near, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

²⁹ And he said to them, Truly I say to you, that there is no man who has left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children for the sake of the kingdom of God, ³⁰ who will, no, not receive back manifold more in this time, and in the coming age eternal life.

¹⁹ And my God will fill your every need according to his wealth in glory in Christ Jesus.
