¹⁶ And having been immersed, Jesus went up immediately from the water; and lo, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending, as a dove, and coming upon him.

¹⁰ And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens parted, and the Spirit as a dove descending upon him.

²¹ Now it came to pass, when all the people had been immersed, that as Jesus, having also been immersed, was praying, the heaven was opened, ²² and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily shape as a dove upon him; and there came a voice out of heaven: Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

³¹ And I knew him not; but that he might be made manifest to Israel, for this I came immersing in water. ³² And John bore witness, saying: I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and it abode upon him. ³³ And I knew him not; but he who sent me to immerse in water, the same said to me: Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and abiding on him, the same is he who immerses in the Holy Spirit. ³⁴ And I have seen, and have borne witness, that this is the Son of God.

³⁴ For he whom God sent forth speaks the words of God; for he gives not the Spirit by measure.

⁵⁶ Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; that he may become in all things pre-eminent. ¹⁹ For He was pleased, that in him should all the fullness dwell;
