³ I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

¹ PAUL, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of God's chosen, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness;

³⁵ Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense of reward. ³⁶ For ye have need of patience, that having done the will of God ye may receive the promise. ³⁷ For yet a little while, he that is to come will come, and will not delay.

⁹ The Lord is not tardy in respect to the promise, as some account tardiness; but is long-suffering toward us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Master, the holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell upon the earth?

¹⁵ Therefore are they before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them.

²⁰ Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye saints, ye apostles, and ye prophets; because God judged your cause upon her.
