⁴⁷ And that servant, who knew his lord's will, and prepared not, nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes;

²² But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment, than for you. ²³ And thou, Capernaum, that wast exalted to heaven, shalt go down to the underworld. For if the miracles, that were done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. ²⁴ But I say to you, that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

¹² I say to you, that it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. ¹³ Woe to thee, Chorazin! Woe to thee, Bethsaida! For if the miracles had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which were done in you, they would long ago have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. ¹⁴ But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you. ¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, that art exalted to heaven, shalt be brought down to the underworld.

⁴¹ Jesus said to them: If ye were blind, ye would not have sin. But now ye say: We see. Your sin remains!

⁴⁸ He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him. The word that I spokes that shall judge him in the last day.

²² If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin; but now they have no cloak for their sin. ²³ He that hates me hates my Father also. ²⁴ If I had not done among them the works which no other one has done, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.

¹¹ Jesus answered: Thou wouldst have no power against me, except it were given thee from above. Therefore he that delivers me to thee has the greater sin.

³⁰ The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now, commands all men everywhere to repent.

¹⁵ Because we are to God a sweet savor of Christ, in those who are saved, and in those who perish; ¹⁶ to the one a savor of death unto death, to the other a savor of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

¹⁷ Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.
