4 H1875 [H8804] But sought H430 to the LORD God H1 of his father, H1980 [H8804] and walked H4687 in his commandments, H4639 and not after the doings H3478 of Israel.

5 H3068 Therefore the LORD H3559 [H8686] established H4467 the kingdom H3027 in his hand; H3063 and all Judah H5414 [H8799] brought H3092 to Jehoshaphat H4503 tribute; H6239 and he had riches H3519 and glory H7230 in abundance.

6 H3820 And his heart H1361 [H8799] was lifted up H1870 in the ways H3068 of the LORD: H5493 [H8689] moreover he took away H1116 the high places H842 and groves H3063 out of Judah.

7 H7969 Also in the third H8141 year H4427 [H8800] of his reign H7971 [H8804] he sent H8269 to his princes, H1134 even to Benhail, H5662 and to Obadiah, H2148 and to Zechariah, H5417 and to Nethaneel, H4322 and to Michaiah, H3925 [H8763] to teach H5892 in the cities H3063 of Judah.

8 H3881 And with them he sent Levites, H8098 even Shemaiah, H5418 and Nethaniah, H2069 and Zebadiah, H6214 and Asahel, H8070 and Shemiramoth, H3083 and Jehonathan, H138 and Adonijah, H2900 and Tobijah, H2899 and Tobadonijah, H3881 Levites; H476 and with them Elishama H3088 and Jehoram, H3548 priests.

9 H3925 [H8762] And they taught H3063 in Judah, H5612 and had the book H8451 of the law H3068 of the LORD H5437 [H8799] with them, and went about H5892 throughout all the cities H3063 of Judah, H3925 [H8762] and taught H5971 the people.

10 H6343 And the fear H3068 of the LORD H4467 fell upon all the kingdoms H776 of the lands H5439 that were around H3063 Judah, H3898 [H8738] so that they made no war H3092 against Jehoshaphat.

11 H6430 Also some of the Philistines H935 [H8688] brought H3092 Jehoshaphat H4503 presents, H4853 and tribute H3701 silver; H6163 and the Arabians H935 [H8688] brought H6629 him flocks, H7651 seven H505 thousand H7651 and seven H3967 hundred H352 rams, H7651 and seven H505 thousand H7651 and seven H3967 hundred H8495 male goats.

12 H3092 And Jehoshaphat H1980 [H8802] became H4605 exceedingly H1432 great; H1129 [H8799] and he built H3063 in Judah H1003 fortresses, H5892 and cities H4543 of store.

13 H7227 And he had much H4399 business H5892 in the cities H3063 of Judah: H582 and the men H4421 of war, H1368 mighty men H2428 of valour, H3389 were in Jerusalem.

14 H6486 And these are the numbers H1004 of them according to the house H1 of their fathers: H3063 Of Judah, H8269 the captains H505 of thousands; H5734 Adnah H8269 the chief, H1368 and with him mighty men H2428 of valour H7969 three H3967 hundred H505 thousand.

15 H3027 And next H3076 to him was Jehohanan H8269 the captain, H3967 and with him two hundred H8084 and eighty H505 thousand.

16 H3027 And next H6007 to him was Amasiah H1121 the son H2147 of Zichri, H5068 [H8693] who willingly offered H3068 himself to the LORD; H3967 and with him two hundred H505 thousand H1368 mighty men H2428 of valour.

17 H1144 And of Benjamin; H450 Eliada H1368 a mighty man H2428 of valour, H5401 [H8802] and with him armed men H7198 with bow H4043 and shield H3967 two hundred H505 thousand.

18 H3027 And next H3075 to him was Jehozabad, H3967 and with him an hundred H8084 and eighty H505 thousand H2502 [H8803] ready prepared H6635 for the war.

19 H8334 [H8764] These waited H4428 on the king, H4428 besides those whom the king H5414 [H8804] put H4013 in the fortified H5892 cities H3063 throughout all Judah.

18 H5704 And if ye will not yet H8085 [H8799] for all this hearken H3256 [H8763] to me, then I will chastise H7651 you seven times H3254 [H8804] more H2403 for your sins.

27 H2063 And if ye will not for all this H8085 [H8799] hearken H1980 [H8804] to me, but walk H7147 contrary to me;

28 H1980 [H8804] Then I will walk H7147 contrary H2534 to you also in hot anger; H637 and I, even H3256 [H8765] I, will chastise H7651 you seven times H2403 for your sins.

29 H398 [H8804] And ye shall eat H1320 the flesh H1121 of your sons, H1320 and the flesh H1323 of your daughters H398 [H8799] shall ye eat.

30 H8045 [H8689] And I will desolate H1116 your high places, H3772 [H8689] and cut down H2553 your images, H5414 [H8804] and cast H6297 your carcases H6297 upon the carcases H1544 of your idols, H5315 and my breath H1602 [H8804] shall abhor you.

31 H5414 [H8804] And I will make H5892 your cities H2723 dry, H8074 0 and bring H4720 your sanctuaries H8074 [H8689] to desolation, H7306 [H8686] and I will not smell H7381 the savour H5207 of your sweet odours.

32 H8074 0 And I will bring H776 the land H8074 [H8689] into desolation: H341 [H8802] and your enemies H3427 [H8802] who dwell H8074 [H8804] in it shall be astonished at it.

33 H2219 [H8762] And I will scatter H1471 you among the nations, H7324 [H8689] and will draw out H2719 a sword H310 after H776 you: and your land H8077 shall be desolate, H5892 and your cities H2723 dry.

34 H776 Then shall the land H7521 [H8799] enjoy H7676 its sabbaths, H3117 as long H8074 [H8715] as it lieth desolate, H341 [H8802] and ye are in your enemies' H776 land; H776 even then shall the land H7673 [H8799] rest, H7521 [H8689] and enjoy H7676 its sabbaths.

35 H3117 As long as H8074 [H8715] it lieth desolate H7673 [H8799] it shall rest; H7673 [H8804] because it did not rest H7676 in your sabbaths, H3427 [H8800] when ye dwelt upon it.

Deuteronomy 28:47-48
