⁴⁰ And the king replying will say unto them, Verily I declare unto you, inasmuch as ye did it to one of the lest of these my brethren, ye did it to me.

³⁷ upon which He saith to his disciples, The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers few:

³⁵ for I was famishing, and ye gave me food; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in;

²³ do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men; ²⁴ knowing that from the Lord ye shall receive the recompense of the inheritance; for ye serve the Lord Christ;

¹⁷ Charge them, that are rich in this world, not to be high-minded nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who richly affords us all things for enjoyment: charge them to do good, ¹⁸ to be rich in good works, to be ready to distribute, willing to communicate; ¹⁹ treasuring up to themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may obtain eternal life.

¹⁰ created in Christ Jesus unto good works, for which God before prepared us, that we might walk in them.

³³ Sell what ye have, and give alms: provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a never-failing treasure in the heavens, where no thief approacheth nor moth corrupteth: ³⁴ for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

³⁵ But do ye love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing from it: and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the sons of the most High; for He is kind even to the ungrateful and the wicked:

³⁵ I have shewed you in all things, that by labouring thus ye ought to support the infirm; and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, who said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

¹⁰ And therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, but especially to those who are of the houshold of faith.

¹⁰ as every one hath received a gift, imparting it to each other, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
