¹⁸ Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven. ¹⁹ And I tell you moreover, that if but two of you shall agree on earth concerning any thing which they would ask for, it shall be granted them by my Father who is in heaven: ²⁰ for where two or three are assembled together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

⁷ If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask what ye will, and it shall be granted you.

²⁴ Hitherto ye have asked for nothing in my name: ask and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

¹ And He spake also a parable to them, to shew that men ought always to pray, and not to faint:

¹⁸ and he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth put forth its fruit.

⁵ And if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask it of God, who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.

⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness:

²⁴ Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye ask in prayer, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

¹³ Is any among you afflicted? let him pray: is any chearful? let him sing psalms.

³ Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask wickedly; that ye may spend it in your pleasures.

²² and whatsoever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

⁹ After this manner therefore pray ye, ¹⁰ "Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done, as in heaven so also upon earth; ¹¹ give us this day our daily bread; ¹² and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; ¹³ and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one: for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever. Amen."

⁸ I direct therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands without wrath and debate:

¹⁸ praying at all seasons with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance, and intercession for all the saints;

¹⁶ Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed: the fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

⁶ Be anxious in nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known before God.

¹⁷ Pray continually.
