⁷ Let every one give as he chuses in his own heart; not with reluctance, or constraint: for God loveth a chearful giver. ⁸ And God is able to make all grace abound towards you; that having always all sufficiency in every thing, ye may abound in every good work:

²⁸ Let him that stole steal no more; but rather let him labour, doing some good with his hands, that he may have something to bestow on him that hath need of it.

⁸ For by grace ye are saved, through faith: and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not by works, that no one may boast: ⁹ for we are his workmanship,

⁹ (as it is written, "He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor, his righteousness continueth for ever." ¹⁰ And may He, who supplieth seed to the sower, and giveth bread for food, furnish and multiply your sowing, and increase the fruits of your bounty:) ¹¹ being in every thing enriched to all liberality, which produceth through us thanksgiving to God.

²⁷ Pure and uncorrupt religion before God and our Father is this, to take care of orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

¹¹ Not that I speak on account of want; for I have learnt in whatever circumstances I am, to be contented. ¹² I know both how to be abased, and how to abound: in every place, and in all conditions I am instructed, both to be full and to be hungry, to abound and to be in want.

³⁵ I have shewed you in all things, that by labouring thus ye ought to support the infirm; and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, who said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

³² (things which the heathens are so inquisitive after) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these. ³³ But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these shall be superadded unto you.

²⁵ therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body than raiment?

¹⁹ And my God will supply all your wants, according to his riches, in glory, by Christ Jesus.
