Bible verses about "feet" | Worsley

Luke 7:36-8:3

36 And one of the pharisees asked Him to eat with him: and He went into the pharisee's house, and sat down. 37 And behold a woman in the city, that was a sinner, when she knew that He was at table in the pharisee's house, 38 brought an alabaster-box of ointment, and stood at his feet behind Him, weeping, and washed his feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. 39 But when the pharisee that invited Him saw it, he said within himself, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what sort of a woman this is that toucheth Him; for she is a notorious sinner. 40 And Jesus said unto him, Simon, I have something to say to thee: (and he replied, Master, say on.) 41 A certain creditor had two debtors, the one owed him five hundred denaries, and the other fifty: 42 and they not being able to pay him, he freely forgave them both: tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? 43 And Simon answered, I suppose he to whom he forgave most. And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged: 44 and turning to the woman, He said to Simon, Dost thou see this woman? I came into thine house, and thou gavest me no water for my feet; but she has bathed my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. 45 Thou gavest me not the respect of a kiss; but this woman, ever since she came in, hath not ceased to kiss my feet. 46 Thou didst not anoint my head with common oil, but she hath anointed even my feet with sweet ointment. 47 Wherefore, I tell thee, her sins though many are forgiven, for she loved much: but he to whom little is forgiven, loveth but little. 48 And He said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. 49 And they that sat at table with Him, said within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? 50 But He said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee, go in peace.

Luke 8:1-3

1 And it came to pass afterwards that He went through every city and village, preaching and declaring the good tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with Him; 2 and some women that had been cured of evil spirits and other infirmities, as Mary Magdalene, out of whom were cast seven demons, 3 and Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who assisted Him with their substance.

Ephesians 6:15

15 and having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace:

John 13:4-14

4 riseth from supper, and turneth aside his clothes, and took a towel and tied it about Him; 5 and then pouring water into a bason, began to wash the feet of his disciples, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith He was girded. 6 He cometh therefore to Simon Peter among the rest, who saith unto Him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? 7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou dost not now understand, but thou shalt know hereafter. 8 Peter saith to Him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I do not wash thee, thou hast no part with me. 9 Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. 10 Jesus saith to him, He that hath been bathing, hath need only to wash his feet, being then clean all over: and thus ye are clean, but not all of you. 11 For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, Ye are not all clean. 12 And when He had washed their feet, and taken his clothes about Him, He sat down again, and said to them, Do ye know the intent of what I have been doing to you? 13 Ye call me, Master, and Lord; and ye say well; for so I am. 14 If I then your Lord and Master have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

Luke 10:39

39 And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the feet of Jesus, attending to his discourse.

Hebrews 12:13

13 And make strait paths for your feet, that what is lame may not be turned out of the way, but rather be healed.
