⁹ who comes, through the efficacy of Satan, with all kind of lying power, and signs, ¹⁰ and wonders, and with all iniquitous fraud, among those that shall perish; because they received not the love of the truth, by which they might be saved.

¹⁷ And therefore if any one be in Christ, he is created anew: old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.

¹⁷ So that faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

¹ But this know, that in the last days there will be difficult times; ² for men will be selfish, covetous, arrogant, proud, blasphemers, undutiful to parents, ungrateful, unholy, ³ without natural affection, perfidious, false accusers, intemperate, savage, enemies to the good, traitors, ⁴ headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,

¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil.

²⁴ And the father of the child immediately cried out and said with tears, Lord, I believe, help thou my unbelief.

⁷ because the carnal mind is an enemy to God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be:

⁷ and led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

³ For the time will come, when they will not bear sound doctrine; but having itching ears, will heap up to themselves teachers after their own hearts: ⁴ and turn away their attention from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
