²⁸ And be not afraid of them, who can only kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him, who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

²⁶ And every one that is alive, and believeth in me, shall never die.

²³ For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

⁵¹ Behold, I tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep; but we shall all be changed in a moment, ⁵² in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet (for the trumpet shall sound) and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed: ⁵³ for this corruptible body must put on incorruption, and this mortal body must be clothed with immortality. ⁵⁴ And when this corruptible shall be clothed with incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word that is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory." ⁵⁵ O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? ⁵⁶ the sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law: ⁵⁷ but thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴³ And Jesus answered him, I assure thee, thou shalt be with me this day in paradise.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him might not perish, but have everlasting life:

¹⁴ for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those, that sleep in Jesus, will God bring with Him.

⁸ but if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

⁴ And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be death no more, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
