¹ Now we that are strong, ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves: ² but let every one of us please our neighbor for his good, to his edification.

¹⁰ But why dost thou censure thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? since we shall all stand before the tribunal of Christ; ¹¹ for it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. ¹² So that every one of us shall give an account of himself to God.

³⁵ I have shewed you in all things, that by labouring thus ye ought to support the infirm; and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, who said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

¹² Put on therefore, as the elect of God holy and beloved, bowels of mercy, benignity, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering; ¹³ bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if any one has a complaint against any: even as Christ hath forgiven you, so also do ye. ¹⁴ And above all these put on love, which is the band of perfection.

³² tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgiveth you.

¹ Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whoever thou art, that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest dost the same things. ² But we know that the judgement of God is according to truth against those that do such things. ³ And thinkest thou, O man, who judgest those that do such things, and dost the same, that thou shalt escape the judgement of God? ⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

¹² So speak, and so act, as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty. ¹³ For he shall have judgement without mercy, that hath not shewn mercy: but mercy triumpheth over judgement.

³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and fury, and clamor, and calumny, be put away from you, with all malice: and be kind one to another, ³² tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgiveth you.

¹⁹ Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: ²⁰ for the wrath of man doth not practise the righteousness of God.

¹¹ Speak not against one another, my brethren; he that speaketh against his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh against the law, and judgeth the law; but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. ¹² Now there is but one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou then that judgest another?
