²⁵ Therefore, I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat, or what ye may drink; nor for your body, what ye may put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?

⁶ Be humbled, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due season; ⁷ having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He careth for you.

²⁷ And who of you, by being anxious, can add to his stature one cubit?

²⁸ And we know that all things are working together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose;

⁶ Be anxious for nothing; but, in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God:

²⁷ "Peace I leave for you; My own peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be fearful.

¹ "Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in Me.

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin; ²⁹ but I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these. ³⁰ And, if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, that to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith! ³¹ Be not, therefore, anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink!' or 'What shall we put on?' ³² For after all these things the nations are seeking; for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. ³³ But seek ye first His Kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. ³⁴ Be not, therefore, anxious for the morrow; for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its evil.
