⁴¹ And, haring taken a seat over against the treasury, He was beholding how the multitude cast money into the treasury; and many who were rich cast in much. ⁴² And one poor widow, coming, cast in two mites, which is a farthing. ⁴³ And, calling to Him His disciples, He said to them, "Verily I say to you, this poor widow cast in more than all who are casting into the treasury; ⁴⁴ for they all did cast in out of their abundance; but she out of her want cast in all that she had—her whole living."

³³ Sell what ye have, and give alms; make for yourselves purses that grow not old, a treasure unfailing in Heaven, where no thief approaches, nor moth corrupts; ³⁴ for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

¹⁷ Charge those who are rich in this present age, not to be high-minded, nor to have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, Who giveth us richly all things for enjoyment; ¹⁸ that they do good, that they be rich in good works, free to impart, liberal; ¹⁹ treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold on that which is really life.

³⁸ "Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will they give into your bosom; for with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."

³⁵ In all things I showed you that, thus laboring, ye ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

⁶ But I say this: He that sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he that sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully. ⁷ Let each one do as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver. ⁸ And God is able to make all grace abound to you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in every thing, may abound to every good work: ⁹ as it has been written, "He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor; his righteousness abides forever." ¹⁰ And He Who supplieth seed to the sower, and bread for food, will supply and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; ¹¹ ye being enriched in everything to all liberality, which works through us thanksgiving to God. ¹² Because the ministry of this service not only fully supplies the deficiencies of the saints, but abounds also through many thanksgivings to God; ¹³ through the proof of this ministry, glorifying God for the subjection of your confession to the Gospel of Christ, and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all; ¹⁴ they also, with supplication for you, longing after you on account of the exceeding grace of God upon you. ¹⁵ Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift!
