¹⁹ Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom ye have from God, and that ye are not your own?

²³ And the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are righteous, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

⁹ But ye are "an elect race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation," a people for a possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

⁷ For God did not call us unto uncleanness, but in sanctification.

²¹ If, therefore, one fully purify himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, serviceable to the Master, prepared for every good work.

¹⁴ Pursue peace with all, and the holiness without which no one shall see the Lord;

⁶ Every one that is abiding in Him sins not; whosoever sins has not seen Him nor known Him. ⁷ Little children, let no one deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. ⁸ He that commits sin is of the Devil; because the Devil sins from the beginning. To this end was the Son of God manifested, that He might destroy the works of the Devil. ⁹ Whosoever has been begotten of God sins not; because His seed abides in him, and he cannot sin because he has been begotten of God. ¹⁰ In this are manifest the children of God and the children of the Devil: every one that does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that does not love his brother;

¹ Having, therefore, these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

¹⁴ as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves to the former desires in your ignorance; ¹⁵ but, according as He Who called you is holy, do ye yourselves become holy in all your conduct; ¹⁶ because it has been written, "Ye shall be holy, because I am Holy."
