⁴² And whosoever shall give to drink a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple, verily I say to you, he shall in no wise lose his reward."

⁶ But I say this: He that sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he that sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully.

¹⁷ But whosoever possesses the goods of the world, and beholds his brother having need, and shuts up his compassion from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

⁷ Let each one do as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver.

²¹ for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

¹⁷ Charge those who are rich in this present age, not to be high-minded, nor to have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, Who giveth us richly all things for enjoyment; ¹⁸ that they do good, that they be rich in good works, free to impart, liberal; ¹⁹ treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold on that which is really life.

¹ And, looking up, He saw the rich casting their gifts into the treasury. ² And He saw a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. ³ And He said, "Truly I say to you, this poor widow cast in more than they all; ⁴ for all these, out of their superabundance, cast into the gifts; but she, out of her poverty, cast in all the living that she had."

³⁸ "Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will they give into your bosom; for with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again."

³⁵ In all things I showed you that, thus laboring, ye ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
