²¹ "Not every one who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he that does the will of My Father in Heaven. ²² Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by Thy name? and by Thy name cast out demons, and by Thy name do many mighty works,'" ²³ And then will I confess to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, ye who work iniquity.

For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were that believed not, and who it was that would betray Him. ⁶⁵ And He said, "For this cause I have said to you, that no one can come to Me, unless it has been given to him of the Father." ⁶⁶ From this time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him. ⁶⁷ Jesus, therefore, said to the twelve, "Do ye also wish to go away?" ⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast words of eternal life. ⁶⁹ And we have believed and know, that Thou art the Holy One of God." ⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, "Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?" ⁷¹ But He was speaking of Judas, son of Simon Iscariot; for he was about to betray Him, being one of the twelve.
