Bible verses about "accountability" | Worrell

Matthew 7:3-5

3 "And why do you behold the mote that is in your brother's eye, but consider not the beam in your own eye? 4 Or how will you say to your brother, 'Permit me to cast out the mote out of your eye;' and, behold, the beam is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! Cast out first the beam out of your own eye; and then you will see clearly to cast out the mote out of your brother's eye.

Luke 12:47-48

47 And that servant who knew his lord's will, and made not ready, nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes; 48 but he who knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few. And to whomsoever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whomsoever they committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Luke 16:10-12

10 He that is faithful in the least is faithful also in much; he that is unrighteous in the least is unrighteous in much. 11 If, therefore, ye were not faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust to you the true riches? 12 And, if ye were not faithful in that which is another's, who will give to you your own?

Hebrews 4:13

13 And there is no creature that is not manifest in His presence; but all things are naked and laid bare to the eyes of Him with Whom is our account.

36 And I say to you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account concerning it in the day of judgment; 37 for by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned."

Luke 17:3

3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him; and, if he repents, forgive him.

James 5:16

16 Confess, therefore, your sins one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. A righteous man's inwrought supplication avails much.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

11 Wherefore, exhort one another, and build up one another, as also ye do.

Romans 14:12

12 So, then, each one of us shall give account concerning himself to God.

Galatians 6:1-5

1 Brethren, even if a man be caught in any trespass, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For, if any one thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one prove his own work, and then will he have ground of glorying in respect to himself alone, and not to another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load.
