John 1:14

14 So the Word became human and lived a little while among us, and we actually saw His glory, the glory of One who is an only Son from His Father, and He was full of spiritual blessing and truth.

John 1:12

12 But to all who did accept Him, and trust in His name, He gave the right to become the children of God,

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

1 If I could speak the languages of men, of angels too, and have no love, I am only a rattling pan or a clashing cymbal. 2 If I should have the gift of prophecy, And know all secret truths, and knowledge in its every form, and have such perfect faith that I could move mountains, but have no love, I am nothing. 3 If I should dole out everything I have for charity, and give my body up to torture in mere boasting pride, but have no love, I get from it no good at all. 4 Love is so patient and so kind; love never boils with jealousy; it never boasts, is never puffed with pride; 5 It does not act with rudeness, or insist upon its rights; it never gets provoked, it never harbors evil thoughts; 6 Is never glad when wrong is done, but always glad when truth prevails; 7 It bears up under anything; it exercises faith in everything; it keeps up hope in everything; it gives us power to endure in anything. 8 Love never fails; if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if now exist ecstatic speakings, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will soon be set aside; 9 For what we know is incomplete and what we prophesy is incomplete. 10 But when perfection comes, what is imperfect will be set aside. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I laid aside my childish ways. 12 For now we see a dim reflection in a looking-glass. But then we shall see face to face; Now what I know is imperfect, but then I shall know perfectly, as God knows me. 13 And so these three, faith, hope, and love endure, but the greatest of them is love.

2 Timothy 3:16

16 All Scripture is inspired by God, and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in doing what is right,

Jude 1:1-25

1 Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ, and a brother of James, to those who have been called, who are beloved by God the Father and have been kept through union with Jesus Christ: 2 may mercy, peace, and love in abundance be given you. 3 Dearly beloved, while I was doing my best to begin writing you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write and urge you to carry on a vigorous defense of the faith that was once for all entrusted to God's people. 4 For certain persons have sneaked in -- their doom was written down long ago -- godless persons, who turn the favor of our God into an excuse for licentiousness, and disown our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. 5 Now I want to remind you, though you know it all already, that although the Lord had saved a people out of the land of Egypt, He afterward destroyed those who did not believe. 6 And angels, who did not preserve their original rank but left their proper home, He has kept in everlasting chains under darkness, for the day of judgment, 7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighboring towns which like them indulged in grossest immorality and unnatural vice, stand as a perpetual warning, in suffering the punishment of eternal fire. 8 In just the same way these dreamers defile the body, discard authority, and deride the majesties. 9 But the archangel Michael himself, when he disputed and argued with the devil about Moses' body, did not dare to bring against him a charge of blasphemy, but merely said, "May the Lord rebuke you!" 10 But these persons abuse everything they do not understand, and they are going to be destroyed by the very things they know by instinct, like the irrational animals. 11 Alas for them, because they have trod the road that Cain did; for gain they have rushed into Balaam's error and have perished in rebellion like that of Korah! 12 They are blots on your love feasts while they feast with you, daringly caring for no one but themselves; rainless clouds swept along by winds; leafless trees that bear no fruit, doubly dead, uprooted; 13 wild waves of the sea foaming up their own shame; wandering stars that are forever doomed to utter darkness. 14 It was about such men also that Enoch, the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied when he said: "See! The Lord comes with myriads of His people 15 to execute judgment upon all, to convict all the godless of their godless deeds which in their godlessness they have committed, and of all the harsh things that godless sinners have said against Him." 16 These persons are grumblers, ever complaining about their lot. They live to satisfy their evil passions, their lips boast arrogant things, and they flatter others for personal gain. 17 But you, dearly beloved, must remember the words that have already been spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18 because they said to you, "In the last times there will be mockers who will live to satisfy their own godless passions." 19 These are men who cause divisions; mere animals, destitute of any spiritual nature, 20 But you, dearly beloved, must continue to build yourselves up on the groundwork of your most holy faith and to pray in the Holy Spirit; 21 you must keep yourselves in the love of God and continue to wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, to bring you to eternal life. 22 Some people, who continue to waver through doubts, you must pity 23 and save, snatching them out of the fire; and others you must pity with dread, loathing even the clothes that are soiled by their lower nature. 24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to make you stand in His glorious presence faultless and full of triumphant joy, 25 to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, might, and authority, as it was before all time, both now and forever and ever. Amen.

Luke 21:34

34 But ever be on your guard, so that your hearts may not be loaded down with self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries, and that day, like a trap, catch you unawares.

1 Peter 5:6

6 Therefore humbly submit to God's strong hand, so that at the proper time He may exalt you.

Philippians 4:6

6 Stop being worried about anything, but always, in prayer and entreaty, and with thanksgiving, keep on making your wants known to God.
