Bible verses about "feet" | Williams

Luke 7:36-8:3

36 Now one of the Pharisees invited Him to take dinner with him. So He came to the Pharisee's house and took His place at the table. 37 There was a woman in the town who was a social outcast, and when she learned that He was taking dinner at the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster bottle of perfume 38 and took her stand behind Him at His feet, continually weeping. Then she began to wet His feet with her tears, but she continued to wipe them off with the hair of her head, and she kept right on kissing His feet with affection and anointing them with the perfume. 39 So when the Pharisee who invited Him saw it, he said to himself, "If He were really a prophet, He would know who and of what character the woman is who is clinging to Him -- that she is a social outcast." 40 Then Jesus answered him, "Simon, I have something to say to you." "Teacher," said he, "go on and say it." 41 "Two men were in debt to a money-lender. One owed him a hundred dollars, the other ten. 42 Since they could not pay him, he graciously canceled the debts for both of them. Now which one of them will love him more?" 43 Simon answered, "The one, I suppose, for whom he canceled most." Then He said, "You are correct in your judgment." 44 And turning face to face with the woman He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I came to your house; you did not give me any water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but she, from the moment I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet with affection. 46 You did not anoint my head with oil, but she anointed my feet with perfume. 47 Therefore, I tell you, her sins, as many as they are, are forgiven, for she has loved me so much. But the one who has little to be forgiven loves me little." 48 And He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven!" 49 The men at the table began to say to themselves, "Who is this man, who even forgives sins?" 50 But He said to the woman, "It is your faith that has saved you; go on in peace."

Luke 8:1-3

1 Soon afterwards He chanced to be making a tour of Galilee from town to town and from village to village preaching and telling the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve went with Him, 2 and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary, who was called Mary of Magdala, out of whom seven demons had gone, 3 and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's household manager, and Susanna, and many other women, who continued to contribute to their needs out of their personal means.

Ephesians 6:15

15 and put on your feet the preparation the good news of peace supplies.

John 13:4-14

4 got up from the table, took off His outer clothes, and took a towel and tied it around His waist. 5 Then He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel which was around His waist. 6 Thus He came to Simon Peter. Peter said to Him, "Lord, are you going to wash my feet?" 7 Jesus answered him, "You do not now understand what I am doing, but by-and-by you will learn." 8 Peter said to Him, "You must never wash my feet!" Jesus answered, "Unless I do wash you, you can have no share with me." 9 Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, do not stop with my feet, then, but wash my hands and face too!" 10 Jesus said to him, "Anyone who has taken a bath has no need of washing anything but his feet, but he is clean all over. And you are now clean, though not all of you are." 11 For He knew who was going to betray Him; this is why He said, "You are not all clean." 12 So when He had washed their feet and had put on His clothes and taken His place at the table, He said to them again: "Do you understand what I have done to you? 13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right in calling me so, for that is what I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you too ought to wash one another's feet.

Luke 10:39

39 She had a sister named Mary who took her seat at the Lord's feet, and remained listening to His message.

Hebrews 12:13

13 and keep your feet in straight paths, so that limbs may not be dislocated, but instead be cured.
