24 Then Jesus said to His disciples: "If anyone wants to be my disciple, he must say 'No' to self, put his cross on his shoulders, and keep on following me.
25 For whoever wants to save his higher life will have to give up the lower life, and whoever gives up his lower life for my sake will find the higher life.
Bible verses about "discipleship" | Williams
Matthew 16:24-25
John 13:34-35
Luke 6:40
40 A pupil is not better than his teacher, but everyone when fully trained will be like his teacher.
John 15:1-17
1 "I am the real vine, and my Father is the cultivator.
2 He cuts away any branch on me that stops bearing fruit, and He repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more.
3 You are already pruned because of the teaching that I have given you.
4 You must remain in union with me and I will remain in union with you. Just as no branch by itself can bear fruit unless it remains united to the vine, so you cannot unless you remain in union with me.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in union with me and I in union with him will bear abundant fruit, because you cannot do anything cut off from union with me.
6 If anyone does not remain in union with me, he is thrown away as a mere branch and is dried up; then it is picked up and thrown into the fire and burned up.
7 If you remain in union with me and my words remain in you, you may ask whatever you please and you shall have it.
8 By your continuously bearing abundant fruit and in this way proving yourselves to be real disciples of mine, my Father is glorified.
9 I have loved you just as the Father has loved me. You must remain in my love.
10 If you continue to keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commands and remain in His love.
11 "I have told you these things, that the joy which I have had may remain in you and that your joy may be complete.
12 This is my command to you, to keep on loving one another as I have loved you.
13 No one can show greater love than this, the giving of his life for his friends.
14 You are my friends, if you keep on doing what I command you to do.
15 I no longer call you slaves, because the slave does not know what his master is doing; I now call you friends, because I have told you everything that I have learned from my Father.
16 You have not chosen me; I have chosen you, and appointed you to go and bear fruit, that your fruit may remain too, so that the Father may grant you, as bearers of my name, whatever you ask Him for.
17 "What I command you to do is, to keep on loving one another.
Luke 14:26
26 "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, and still more, his own life too, he cannot be a disciple of mine.

33 "Just so, no one of you who does not forsake everything that he has, can be a disciple of mine.
1 Corinthians 11:1

Titus 2:1-8
1 You must continue telling the people what is proper for wholesome teaching:
2 the older men to be temperate, serious, and sensible, healthy in faith, in love, and in steadfastness;
3 the older women, too, to be reverent in their deportment, and not to be slanderers or slaves to heavy drinking, but to be teachers of what is right,
4 so as to train the younger women to be affectionate wives and mothers,
5 to be serious, pure, home keepers, kind, and subordinate to their husbands, so as not to cause God's message to suffer reproach.
6 Keep urging the younger men to be sensible.
7 In everything you yourself continue to set them a worthy example of doing good; be sincere and serious in your teaching,
8 let your message be wholesome and unobjectionable, so that our opponent may be put to shame at having nothing evil to say about us.
John 8:31-32
Acts 2:42
42 And they devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to fellowship with one another, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

23 Then He said to them all, "If anyone chooses to be my disciple, he must say 'No' to self, put the cross on his shoulders daily, and continue to follow me.
2 Timothy 2:2
2 The things you learned from me before many witnesses you must commit to trustworthy men who will be competent to teach others too.
Ephesians 4:11-17
11 And He has given some men to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, some to be pastors and teachers,
12 for the immediate equipment of God's people for the work of service, for the ultimate building up of the body of Christ,
13 until we all attain to unity in faith and to perfect knowledge of the Son of God, namely, to a mature manhood and to a perfect measure of Christ's moral stature;
14 so that we may not be babies any longer, or like sailors tossed about and driven around by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men through their cunning in inventing new methods of error.
15 But, on the other hand, we shall go on holding to the truth and in love growing up into perfect union with Him, that is, Christ Himself who is the Head.
16 For it is under His direction that the whole body is perfectly adjusted and united by every joint that furnishes its supplies; and by the proper functioning of each particular part there is brought about the growing of the body for its building up in love.
17 So I mean this and now testify to it in the name of the Lord: You must now stop living as the heathen usually do, in the frivolity of their minds,
Matthew 5:14-16
14 You are the light of the world. A city that is built upon a hill cannot be hidden.
15 People do not light a lamp and put it under a peck-measure but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all that are in the house.
16 Let your light shine before people in such a way that they may see your good deeds, and praise your Father in heaven.
Luke 14:27
27 Whoever does not persevere in carrying his own cross and thus following after me, cannot be a disciple of mine.
Matthew 28:18-20
18 Then Jesus came up to them, and said, "Full authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptize them into the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
20 and teach them to practice all the commands that I have given you. And I myself will surely be with you all the days, down to the very close of an age."
