Mark 16:17-18

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe, in my name shall they call out dæmons: they shall speak with new tongues. 18 And they shall take up serpents in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not at all hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Luke 8:1-56

1 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching, and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. and the twelve [were] with him; 2 And certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had gone seven daemons. 3 And Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herods steward, and Susanna, and many others, who also ministred unto them of their substance. 4 And when a great multitude were come together, and of those that went to him to the city, he spake this parable to them. 5 A sower went out to sow seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the wayside, and it was trodden down, and the fowls devoured it. 6 And other fell upon a rock, and when it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. 7 And some fell in the midst of thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it, 8 And other fell on honest and good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9 And his disciples asked him, What may this parable? 10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables be, that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand. 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those by the wayside, are they that follow: [then] cometh the devil, and taketh the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 They on the rock, when they hear, receive the word with joy;these have no root, who for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns, are they, who when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no perfect fruit. 15 But that on the good ground, are they, who in a good heart, having heard the word of God, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Luke 8:15-56

15 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid, wondred, saying one to another, What a man is this? for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. 16 Now No one when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth [it] under a bed: but setteth it on a candlestick, that they who enter in may see the light. 17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be manifest: neither any thing hid, but that it shall be known, and become manifest. 18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given;and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have. 19 Now there came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the multitude. 20 But it was told him, that Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, seeking thee. 21 And he answered and said unto them, [My] mother and [my] brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it. 22 But it came to pass on one of the days that he went up into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they lanched forth. 23 But as they sailed, he fell asleep: and there came down a great storm of wind on the lake, and they were filled [with water,] and were in jeopardy. 24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, Lord, we perish. Then he rose, and rebuked the wind, and the waves of water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

Luke 8:26-56

26 But they arrived at the country of the Gerasens which is over against Galilee. 27 And they went forth to land. And a man met him out of the city, who had daemons a long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in an house, but in the tombs. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cryed out, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Thou Son of the most high. I beseech thee torment me not. 29 For he spake to the unclean spirit, Come out of the man. For many times it had caught him: for he was kept bound with chains, and fetters: and he brake the bands, for he was driven of the daemon into the wilderness. 30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said my name is Legion: for there were many daemons. 31 And They besought [him] that he would not command them to go out into the abys. 32 And there was there an herd of swine feeding on the mountain; But They besought him that they might enter into the swine; And he suffered them. 33 Then went the daemons out of the man, and entred into the swine; but the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked. 34 When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and told [it] in the city, and in the country. 35 But when they went out of the city and saw what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the daemoniack, sitting at the feet of Jesus, in his right mind and clothed; they were afraid. 36 For They which saw [it,] told them by what means he that was possessed of the daemons, was healed. 37 But they all, the country of Gerasene also asked Jesus to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: But he went [into the ship], and returned back again. 38 Now the man out of whom the daemons were departed, besought him that he might be with him: but he sent him away, saying, 39 Go to thine own house, showing how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went away, and published in the city, how great things Jesus had done unto him. 40 And it came to pass, that when Jesus was returned, the multitude received him: for they were all waiting for him. 41 And a man named Jairus, and he a ruler of the synagogue came: and fell down at Jesus feet, and besought him to come to his house; 42 For he had an only begotten daughter, twelve years of age, dying. And it came to pass as he went, the multitudes thronged him. 43 And a woman who had a bloody flux twelve years, whom no one was able to cure, 44 Came, and touched his garment: and immediately her bloody flux stanched. 45 But Jesus knowing that virtue had gone out of him, asked Who touched me. But when all denyed, Peter and those that were with him said, Master, the multitudes throng thee and press thee, and thou sayst, who hath touched me? 46 But he said some one hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone one of me. 47 And when the woman saw that she was not conceald, she came trembling, and falling down, she declared before all the people, for what cause she had touched him, and that she was healed immediately. 48 But he said unto her, Daughter; Thy faith hath healed thee, go in peace. 49 While he was yet speaking there came certain from [to] the ruler of the synagogue saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master any farther. 50 When Jesus heard that word, he answered, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall recover. 51 And when he came into the house, he suffered no one to go in, save Peter, and John, and James, and the father and the mother of the damsel. 52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep ye not; For she is not dead, but sleepeth. 53 And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But he took her by the hand, and called, saying, Damsel arise. 55 And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat. 56 And when her parents saw it, they were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no one what was done.

1 Thessalonians 1:3-9

3 Remembring without ceasing the work of your faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God, and our Father: 4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. 5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. 6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord; having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: 7 So that ye are become ensamples t all that believe in Macedonia and in Achaia. 8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and in Achaia, but in every place our faith to God-ward is spread abroad, so that we need not to speak any thing. 9 For they themselves shew of us, what manner of entring in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God,

Revelation 21:1-22:21

1 And I saw a new heaven, and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and I saw the sea no longer. 2 And I saw the holy new Jerusalem, coming down from heaven, from God: prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of the throne, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them, [and be] their God. 4 And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne, said, Behold also, I make all things new. And he said Write: for these words are faithful and true. 6 And he said unto me. They are done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end: I will give unto him that is athirst, of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. 9 And there came one of the seven angels, who had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. 10 And he carried me sway in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. 11 Her light [was] like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12 Having a wall great and high, having twelve gates; and names written thereon, which are [the names] of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel. 13 On the east, three gates; and on the north, three gates, and on the south, three gates; and on the west, three gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and upon them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he that talked with me, had a measuring reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16 And the city lieth four-square, and the length is as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs: the length, and the breadth, and the height of it are equal. 17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred [and] fortyand four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the anel. 18 And the building of the wall of it[was] of jasper; and the city pure gold, [and] like unto clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city [were] garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation a jasper; the second, a sapphire; the third, a chalcedony, the fourth, an emerald; 20 The fifth, a sardonyx; the sixth a sardius; the seventh, a chrysolite; the eighth, a beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinct, the twelfth, an amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city [was] pure gold, as it were transparent glass. 22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God almighty, and the Lamb, are the temple of it. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof. 24 And the nations shall walk [by] the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory unto it. 25 And the gates of it shall notbe shut at all by day, for there shall be no night there. 26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any common thing, neither [that] worketh abomination, or a lie: but they who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Revelation 22:1-21

1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on this side and on that side of the river, the tree of life, which bare twelve fruits, yielding her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him. 4 And they shall see his face; and his name [shall be] in their foreheads. 5 And there shall be no night any more, and they shall not have need of the light of a candle, and the light of the sun; for the Lord God will give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. 6 And he said unto me, These sayings [are] faithful and true. And the Lord God of the spirits of the prophets hath sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. 7 And behold, I come quickly: blessed [is] he that observeth the words of the prophesy of this book. 8 And I John [am he who] heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel, who shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them who observe the words of this book: worship God. 10 And he saith unto me, seal not the sayings of the prophesy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he that is righteous, let him do righteousness still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 Behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work is. 13 [I] [am] Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14 Blessed [are] they that wash their garments, that they may have power over the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 Without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. 16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth, say, Come. Let him that is athirst, come: And he that will, let him take the water of life freely. 18 I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophesy of this book. If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophesy, God shall take away his part out of the tree of life, and out of the holy city, [and] the things which are written in this book. 20 He that testifieth these things, saith, I come quickly. Amen. Come Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus [be] with you all.

James 1:1-27

1 JAMES a Servant of God, and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. 2 My Brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing [this,] that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not[;] and it shall be given him, 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering: for he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind, and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double-minded man [is] unstable in all his ways. 9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: 10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. 11 For [where] the sun is risen with a burning heat, it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways. 12 Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which He hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not therefore err, mybeloved brethren. 17 Every, good gift, and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first-fruits of his creatures. 19 Ye know [it], my beloved brethren. And let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Whrefore lay apart all filthiness, and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 If any one be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [in it,] being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 26 If any man seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion [is] vain. 27 For pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father, is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, to keep himself unspotted from the world.
