³¹ Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

²⁴ Know ye not that they who run in a race, run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run that ye may obtain. ²⁵ And every one that striveth for the mastery, is temperate in all things: Now, they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. ²⁶ I therefore so run, not as uncertainly: so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: ²⁷ But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means when I have preached to others, I my self should be a castaway.

²³ Meekness, temperance, chastity: against such there is no law.

¹⁴ I press toward the mark, for the prize of the high calling of God in the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁸ He that exhorteth on exhortation: he that giveth, with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. ⁹ [Let] love [be] without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil, cleave to that which is good. ¹⁰ Be kindly affectioned one to another; with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.

¹³ I can do all things through Christ who strengthneth me.

¹⁴ Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

⁷ But refuse profane and old wives fables, and exercise thy self unto godliness. ⁸ For bodily exercise profiteth little: godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

² Let every one of us please [his] neighbour for good to edification.

²³ And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

⁵ And if a man also strive for masteries, he is not crowned except he strive lawfully.
