Bible verses about "sheep" | Whiston

Matthew 26:31

31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye will be Scandalized because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered abroad.

John 21:17

17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Lord, thou knowest all men; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

John 10:14

14 I am the good shepherd, and know mine, and mine know me.

Matthew 10:16

16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Matthew 7:15

15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves,

John 10:1-16

1 Verily verily I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, he is a thief and robber. 2 But he that entereth in by the door, is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his void; and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth all his own, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow; but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. 6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. 7 Jesus therefore said unto them again, Verily verily I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 Those that come before me, are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man shall enter in, he shall be saved and shall go in, and to out and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. But I am come that they might have life, 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth; and the wolf seizeth and scattereth the sheep, 13 Because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd, and know mine, and mine know me. 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I give [my] life for the sheep. 16 But other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they will hear my voice; and they will be one fold, one shepherd.

John 10:11

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Matthew 9:36

36 But when he saw the multitudes, he had compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

Luke 15:4-7

4 What man of you shall have an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not he leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and goeth away and seeketh that which is lost, until he find it? 5 And when he hath found [it,] he layeth [it] on his shoulders, rejoycing. 6 But when he cometh home, he calleth together [his] friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoyce with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7 But I say unto you, that likewise joy is in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, who need no repentance.
