Bible verses about "salvation" | Whiston

John 15:1-27

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away: and every one that beareth fruit, he will purge it, that it may bear more fruit. 3 -- 4 As the branch cannot bear fruit of it self, except it abide in the vine: so neither can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 For I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, he bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye cannot do any [thing]. 6 If any one abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather it, and cast [it] into the fire, and it is burned. 7 But if ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, so be ye my disciples. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: abide ye in my love. 10 If ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I also have kept my Fathers commandments, and abide in his love. 11 But these things have I spoken unto you, that my joy in you might remain, and your joy might be full. 12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. 14 For ye are my friends, if ye shall do what I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father, I have made known unto you. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you, that you should go and bring forth much fruit, and your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17 These things I command you, Love one another. 18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me first, 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: Because ye were not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20 Remember the words that I said unto you, my servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have observed my saying, they will observe yours also. 21 But these things will they do unto you for my names sake, because they know not him that sent me. 22 If I had not come, and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. 23 He that hateth me, hateth my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else had done, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen me, and hated me and my Father. 25 But that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, that They hated me without a cause. 26 But when the Comforter shall come, whom I will send unto you from my Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceedeth from my Father, he will testifie of me. 27 And bear ye witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

John 3:16-18

16 For God hath so loved the world, that he hath given his only begotten Son, that every one who believeth on him, should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God sent not his Son unto the world to judge the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him shall not be judged: but he that believeth not, is judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:17-21

17 For God sent not his Son unto the world to judge the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him shall not be judged: but he that believeth not, is judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the judgement, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doth evil things hateth the light, lest his deeds should be reproved by the light. 21 But he that doth truth, cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Acts 16:30-33

30 And brought them out, and securing the rest, he said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, with all that were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed [their] stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
