43 But Jesus answered and said unto him, that rebuked [the other,] Be of good courage, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

John 3:1-36

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, his name was Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 He came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God : for no one can do these miracles that thou dost except God were with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily verily say unto thee, Except any one be born (born again, Vulg.), from above he cannot see the Kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mothers womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Holy Spirit, be cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh, is flesh: and that which is born of the Spirit; is Spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be must be born from above (born again, Vulg.), 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, or whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him; How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily verily I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testifie that we have seen; and ye receive not our testimony. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe if I shall tell you heavenly things? 13 And no one hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, the Son of man who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That every one who believeth in him, should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God hath so loved the world, that he hath given his only begotten Son, that every one who believeth on him, should not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God sent not his Son unto the world to judge the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him shall not be judged: but he that believeth not, is judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the judgement, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doth evil things hateth the light, lest his deeds should be reproved by the light. 21 But he that doth truth, cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. 22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judea, and there he tarried with them, and baptized. 23 And John also was baptizing in Enon, near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. 24 For John was not yet cast into prison; 25 Now there arose a question between [some] of Johns disciples and the Jews, about purifying. 26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou bearest witness, behold, He baptizeth, and all come to him. 27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven, 28 Ye your selves bear me witness, that I said, I [am] not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. 29 He that hath the bride, is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoyceth greatly because of the bridegrooms voice, this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must be diminished. 31 -- 32 But he that cometh from above, is above all: he that is of the earth, is of the earth, and speaketh of the earth. He that cometh from heaven, testifyeth, what he hath seen and heard, and no one receiveth his testimony. 33 He that hath received his testimony, hath set to his seal, that God is true. 34 For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God: for God giveth [him] not the Spirit by measure. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36 That he who believeth on the Son, may have eternal life: But he that believeth not the Son, shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 9:1-3

1 And as he passed by, he saw a man who was blind from [his] birth, sitting. 2 And the disciples asked him, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be manifest in him.

Luke 20:35-36

35 But they who shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. 36 Neither shall they die any more; for they are equal unto the angels with God, being the children of the resurrection.

Luke 16:19-31

19 But he spake also another parable: There was a rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day. 20 But a certain beggar named Lazarus, was laid at his gate full of ulcers. 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich mans table: moreover, the dogs came and licked his ulcers. 22 And it came to pass that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abrahams bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried. 23 And in hades he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus resting in his bosom. 24 And he cried earnestly and said, Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is here comforted, and thou art pained. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they who would pass to you cannot; neither can they pass hither, from thence. 27 But he said, I pray thee therefore, Father Abraham, that thou wouldst send him to my fathers house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testifie unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 But Abraham said unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, No, Father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 But he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be perswaded, though one rise from the dead, and go away to them.

Hebrews 9:27

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
