1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and evil-speakings, 2 As newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby unto salvation: 3 If ye have tasted that the Lord [is] gracious. 4 To whom coming, a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, precious, 5 Ye also as lively stones, are built upon them a spiritual house, unto an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6 Wherefore alsoit is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7 Unto you therefore who believe [he is] precious: but unto them who be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner. 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, who stumble at the word, being disobedient, whereunto also they were appointed. 9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the virtues of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Who in time past [were] not a people, but [are] now the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. 11 Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshy lusts, which war against the soul; 12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by the good works which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. 13 Submit your selves to every human creature for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him, for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well-doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: 16 As free, and not using liberty for a cloke of wickedness; but as the servants of God. 17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king. 18 Servants, [be] subject to masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. 19 For this [is] thank-worthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. 20 For what glory [is it],if when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if when ye do well, and suffer, ye take it patiently; for this [is] acceptable with God. 21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatned not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously; 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to our sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose wound ye were healed. 25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Hebrews 10:26-27

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there is not another sacrifice left still to be offered. 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I have written unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. 14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of God is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world, 17 And the world passeth away, and its lust: but he that doeth the will of God, abideth for ever. 18 Little children, it is the last hour: and as ye have heard antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us; but that they might be made manifest, that they were not all of us. 20 But ye have an unction from the holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you, because ye know not the truth: but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? he is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father; He that acknowledged the Son, hath the Father also. 24 Let that abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning, shall abide in you, ye also shall abide in the Son, and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, eternal life. 26 These things have I written unto you, concerning them that seduce you. 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him, abideth in you: and ye need not that any man teach you: But, as the same anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is truth, and is no lie: as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 28 And now, little children, abide in him; that if he shall appear, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one also that doeth righteousness, is born of him.

2 Corinthians 5:10

10 For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ, that every one may receive the things [done] by his body, what he hath done, whether good or bad.

James 1:14-15

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
