Matthew 22:37-40

37 Jesus saith unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second [is] like unto this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thy self. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

John 15:13

Romans 13:1-14

1 Be subject unto all souls that are in authority. For there is no power but of God: those that be, are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist, shall receive to themselves judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to a good work, but to an evil one. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain; for he is the minister of God, a revenger upon him that doth evil. 5 Wherefore, be ye subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6 For, for this cause pay you tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 7 Render to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute, custom to whom custom, fear to whom fear, honour to whom honour. 8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another, hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet; and if [there be] any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thy self. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: And love [is] the fulfilling of the law. 11 And that, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep: for now [is] our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast away the works of darkness, but let us put on the armour of light. 13 Let us walk honestly as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, unto its lusts.

1 Peter 2:16

16 As free, and not using liberty for a cloke of wickedness; but as the servants of God.

Acts 5:29

36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: If my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not I be delivered to the Jews: but now my kingdom is not from hence.

1 Peter 2:9-10

9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the virtues of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Who in time past [were] not a people, but [are] now the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

1 Peter 2:17

17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

1 Timothy 2:1-3

1 Exhort therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks be made for all men: 2 For kings, and for all that are in supreme authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in godliness and honestly. 3 For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour:

Romans 13:1-5

1 Be subject unto all souls that are in authority. For there is no power but of God: those that be, are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist, shall receive to themselves judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to a good work, but to an evil one. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain; for he is the minister of God, a revenger upon him that doth evil. 5 Wherefore, be ye subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

Hebrews 11:13-16

13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and sojourners and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things, declare plainly that they seek a country. 15 And truly if they were mindful of that from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned: 16 But now they desire a better, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called [their] God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
