Luke 13:3

3 I tell you, No; but except ye shall repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

John 13:1-17

1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come, that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end. 2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Scarioth the Son of Simon that he should betray him. 3 He knowing that the Father had given him all things into [his] hands, and that he was come from God, and that he went to God. 4 He riseth from supper, and laid a side [his] garments, and took a towel, and girded himself. 5 After that, he taketh and poureth water into a bason, and began to wash his disciples feet, and to wipe [them] with the towel wherewith he was girded. 6 He cometh therefore to Simon Peter. He saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? 7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not yet, but thou shalt know hereafter. 8 Peter saith unto him, Lord, Thou shalt never wash [my] feet. Jesus answered, If I shall not wash thee, thou hast no part with me. 9 Peter saith unto him, Lord, not the feet only, but also the hands and the head. 10 Jesus saith unto him, he that is washed, needeth not to have his head washed, but his feet only, for he his clean all over, and ye are clean, but not all. 11 For Jesus knew who should betray him. 12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken [his] garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? 13 Ye call me Master, and Lord: and ye say well; for I am. 14 If I then [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet, how much more should ye do it: 15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. 16 Verily, verily I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his Lord, neither he that is sent, greater than he that sent him. 17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Acts 15:9

Colossians 2:16-17

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath. 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body [is] of Christ.

1 Timothy 4:1-5

1 Now the Spirit speaketh expresly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, the doctrines of dæmons; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with an hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, [commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them who believe and know his truth. 4 For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God, and prayer.

Matthew 4:1-25

1 Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterwards an hungred. 3 And the tempter came to him, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But Jesus answered an said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. 5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him; If thou be the Son of God, cast thy self down: for it is written, he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, and upon their hands they shall hold thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil took him up into an exceeding high mountain, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them: 9 And said unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then said Jesus unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only thou shalt serve. 11 Then the devil leaveth him, and behold angels came and ministred unto him. 12 Now when he had heard that John was delivered up, he departed into Galilee. 13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capharnaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim: 14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, 15 The land of Zabulon, and of Nephthalim, the way of the sea beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles: 16 The people who sat in darkness, saw great light: To them who sat in the region and shadow of death, light is sprung up. 17 For from that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 18 And He passing by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon, called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. 20 [OMITTED TEXT] 21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James [the son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. 22 And they immediately left their ship and their father, and followed him. 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness, and all manner of disease among the people. 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were ill of divers diseases, and torments, and those who were possessed with dæmons, and those who were lunatick, and those who had the palsie; and he healed them all. 25 And there followed him great multitudes of people, from Galilee, and Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judea, and beyond Jordan.

Matthew 6:1-34

1 Take heed that ye do not your righteousness before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father in the heavens. 2 Therefore, when thou shalt do alms, thou shalt not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do, in the synagogues, and in the streets, that they may be glorified of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. 3 But when thou dost alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doth: 4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy father who seeth in scret, himself shall reward thee. 5 And when thou shalt pray, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites: for they love to stand, and to pray in the synagogues, and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou shalt pray, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father in secret, and thy Father who seeth in secret, shall reward thee. 7 But when ye pray, ye shall not use vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye open your mouth. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye; Our Father who art in the heavens, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done as in heaven, so on earth. 11 Give us this day the bread necessary for our sustenance. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debters. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. 14 For, if ye shall forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if ye shall not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses. 16 Moreover, when ye fast, be not as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. 17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face. 18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father who is in secret: and thy Father who seeth in secret, shall reward thee. 19 You shall not lay up for your selves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 No one can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon: 25 Therefore I say unto you, Be not sollicitous for your life, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on: Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of heaven: for they sow not, nether do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by being sollicitous can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why are ye sollicitous for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field how they grow; they toil not, neither dothey spin. 29 And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory, was not arayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore if God so clothe the grass of the field which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more do so to you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore ye shall not be sollicitous, saying, What shall we eat? or what shall we drink? or wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 For, after all these things do the Gentiles seek: for your Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Ye shall not therefore be sollicitous for the morrow: for the morrow will be sollicitous about things for it self: sufficient for the day [is] the evil thereof.

Matthew 6:16-18

16 Moreover, when ye fast, be not as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. 17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face. 18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father who is in secret: and thy Father who seeth in secret, shall reward thee.
