²⁴ Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any one wilt come after me, let him deny him self, and take up his cross and follow me. ²⁵ For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake, shall find it.

³⁴ A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. ³⁵ For by this shall all know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

⁴⁰ The disciple is not above the master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

¹ I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. ² Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away: and every one that beareth fruit, he will purge it, that it may bear more fruit. ³ -- ⁴ As the branch cannot bear fruit of it self, except it abide in the vine: so neither can ye, except ye abide in me. ⁵ For I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, he bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye cannot do any [thing]. ⁶ If any one abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather it, and cast [it] into the fire, and it is burned. ⁷ But if ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done. ⁸ Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, so be ye my disciples. ⁹ As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: abide ye in my love. ¹⁰ If ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I also have kept my Fathers commandments, and abide in his love. ¹¹ But these things have I spoken unto you, that my joy in you might remain, and your joy might be full. ¹² This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. ¹³ Greater love hath no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. ¹⁴ For ye are my friends, if ye shall do what I command you. ¹⁵ Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father, I have made known unto you. ¹⁶ Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you, that you should go and bring forth much fruit, and your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. ¹⁷ These things I command you, Love one another.

²⁶ If any man comes to me, and hates not his father, and his mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

³³ Likewise, also whosoever he be of you, that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

¹ Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.

¹ But speak thou the things which bcome sound doctrine: ² That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience: ³ The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; ⁴ That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, ⁵ [To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. ⁶ Young men likewise exhort to be sober-minded. ⁷ In all things shewing thy self a pattern of good works: in doctrine, gravity, sincerity, ⁸ Sound Speech that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part, may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us.

³¹ Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed on him, If ye will continue in my word, ye are my disciples indeed; ³² And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.

⁴² And they continued stedfastly in the apostles doctrine at Jerusalem, and communion, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

²³ And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and follow me.

² And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

¹¹ And he hath given some, apostles: and some, prophets: and some, evangelists: and some, pastors and teachers; ¹² For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: ¹³ Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ; ¹⁴ That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the flight of men, the cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive: ¹⁵ But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, Christ: ¹⁶ From whom the whole body fitly joined together, and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body, unto the edifying of it self in love. ¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as the Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

¹⁴ Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. ¹⁵ Neither do they light a candle, and put it under a bushel: but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. ¹⁶ Let your light so thine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorifie your Father who is in the heavens.

²⁷ And he that doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

¹⁸ And Jesus came, and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth. ¹⁹ Go ye now and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them unto the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: ²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the age.
