Bible verses about "accountability" | Whiston

Matthew 7:3-5

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull the mote out of thine eye; and behold a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye.

Luke 12:47-48

47 And that servant who knew his lords will, but did not according to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes.] 48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few. To whom much is given they will require the more from him; and to whom they have committed much, of him they will require the more.

Luke 16:10-12

10 He that his faithful in the least, is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in a little, is unjust also in much. 11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true? 12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is anothers, who shall give you that which is your own?

Hebrews 4:13

13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things [are] naked, and opened unto the eyes of him of whom we speak.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men do speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, or by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Luke 17:3

3 Take heed to your selves: If thy brother shall trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he shall repent, forgive him.

James 5:16

16 Confess therefore [your] sins one to another, pray one for another, that ye may be healed: The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

11 Wherefore comfort your selves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Romans 14:12

12 So every one of us shall render an account of himself to God.

Galatians 6:1-5

1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thy self, lest thy self also be tempted. 2 Bear ye one another's burdens, andso fulfil the law of Christ. 3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. 4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For every man shall bear this own burden.
