¹⁴ But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the desires thereof.

⁵ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report: if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things:

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, adultery, fornication, ²⁰ uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, contentions, ²¹ emulations, wraths, strifes, divisions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of which I tell you before (as I have also told you in time past) that they who practise such things, shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

⁵ For this ye know, that no whoremonger, or unclean person, or covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

³ For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye abstain from fornication; ⁴ That every one of you know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; ⁵ Not in passionate desire, as the Gentiles who know not God. ⁶ That none circumvent or defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger of all these things, as we have also told you before and testified. ⁷ For God hath not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness. ⁸ He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man but God; who hath also given you his Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ Pray for us; for we trust we have a good conscience, desiring to behave ourselves well in all things.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doth, is without the body; but he that committeth fornication, sinneth against his own body.

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful, and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

⁴ Marriage is honourable in all men, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

¹² Let no one despise thy youth; but be a pattern to them that believe, in word, in behaviour, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

⁸ Happy are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.
