⁷ And the first day of unleavened bread was come, when the passover was to be killed. ⁸ And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat it. ⁹ And they said to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? ¹⁰ And he said to them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, a man will meet you bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth. ¹¹ And say to the master of the house, The master saith to thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? ¹² And he will shew you a large upper-room furnished: there make ready. ¹³ And they went, and found as he had said to them. And they made ready the passover. ¹⁴ And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. ¹⁵ And he said to them, With desire have I desired to eat this passover with you, before I suffer. ¹⁶ For I say to you, I will not eat thereof any more, till it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. ¹⁷ And he took the cup and gave thanks and said, Take this and divide it among yourselves. ¹⁸ For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God shall come. ¹⁹ And he took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me. ²⁰ Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood which is shed for you.

¹⁵ And he said to them, With desire have I desired to eat this passover with you, before I suffer.

⁸ Therefore let us keep the feast; not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of wickedness and malignity, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

And they made ready the passover. ¹⁷ And in the evening he cometh with the twelve. And as they sat and ate, ¹⁸ Jesus said, Verily I say to you, one of you that eat with me will betray me. ¹⁹ And they were sorry, and said to him one by one, Is it I? ²⁰ And another, Is it I? And he answering said to them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish. ²¹ The Son of man indeed goeth as it is written of him; but wo to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed: it had been good for that man, if he had not been born. ²² And as they ate, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body. ²³ And he took the cup, and having given thanks, gave it them, and they all drank of it. ²⁴ And he said to them, This is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many. ²⁵ Verily I say to you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, till that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

²⁶ And after they had eaten, Jesus took bread and blessed and brake and gave it to his disciples and said, Take, eat; this is my body. ²⁷ And he took the cup, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it. ²⁸ For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many, for the remission of sins.

⁷ Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened; for our passover is slain for us, even Christ:
