Bible verses about "passover" | Wesley

Luke 22:7-20

7 And the first day of unleavened bread was come, when the passover was to be killed. 8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat it. 9 And they said to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? 10 And he said to them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, a man will meet you bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth. 11 And say to the master of the house, The master saith to thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? 12 And he will shew you a large upper-room furnished: there make ready. 13 And they went, and found as he had said to them. And they made ready the passover. 14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. 15 And he said to them, With desire have I desired to eat this passover with you, before I suffer. 16 For I say to you, I will not eat thereof any more, till it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17 And he took the cup and gave thanks and said, Take this and divide it among yourselves. 18 For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God shall come. 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood which is shed for you.

And they made ready the passover. 17 And in the evening he cometh with the twelve. And as they sat and ate, 18 Jesus said, Verily I say to you, one of you that eat with me will betray me. 19 And they were sorry, and said to him one by one, Is it I? 20 And another, Is it I? And he answering said to them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish. 21 The Son of man indeed goeth as it is written of him; but wo to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed: it had been good for that man, if he had not been born. 22 And as they ate, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body. 23 And he took the cup, and having given thanks, gave it them, and they all drank of it. 24 And he said to them, This is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many. 25 Verily I say to you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, till that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
