¹⁷ (34:16)The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

⁴¹ Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

⁵ And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues, and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. ¹ And he spoke a parable to them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

¹⁶ Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man availeth much.

⁵ For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

¹ I exhort therefore, that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men; ² For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. ³ For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; ⁴ Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

⁷ If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye may ask what ye will, and it shall be done to you.
