Proverbs 18:7

7 A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are a snare to his soul.

Proverbs 14:7-9

7 Stay away from a foolish man, for you won’t find knowledge on his lips. 8 The wisdom of the prudent is to think about his way, but the folly of fools is deceit. 9 Fools mock at making atonement for sins, but among the upright there is good will.

Proverbs 15:7

7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so with the heart of fools.

Proverbs 26:3-12

3 A whip is for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the back of fools! 4 Don’t answer a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like him. 5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes. 6 One who sends a message by the hand of a fool is cutting off feet and drinking violence. 7 Like the legs of the lame that hang loose, so is a parable in the mouth of fools. 8 As one who binds a stone in a sling, so is he who gives honor to a fool. 9 Like a thorn bush that goes into the hand of a drunkard, so is a parable in the mouth of fools. 10 As an archer who wounds all, so is he who hires a fool or he who hires those who pass by. 11 As a dog that returns to his vomit, so is a fool who repeats his folly. 12 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Psalms 14:1-4

1 For the Chief Musician. By David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable deeds. There is no one who does good. 2 Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God. 3 They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one. 4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on Yahweh?
