⁹ "When you enter the land that the LORD your God is about to give you, don't learn the detestable practices of those nations there. ¹⁰ There must never be found among you anyone who sacrifices his son or daughter in fire, practices divination, interprets omens, practices sorcery, ¹¹ Or casts spells, or is a medium, or a wizard, or consults the dead. ¹² For everyone doing these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable things the LORD your God is driving them out from before you.

¹⁹ The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; ²⁰ Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strife, jealousy, fits of rage, selfishness, dissensions, factions, ²¹ and envy; drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

³¹ Regard not mediums, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
