Psalms 118:13

13 I was pushed, yea pushed so as to fall, Yet the LORD, He helped me."

Jeremiah 20:14-18

14 Cursed be the day wherein I was born; the day wherein my mother bore me, let it not be blessed. 15 Cursed be the man, that brought my father the tidings, to make him glad, saying, "Thou hast gotten a son." 16 May that man be like the cities that the LORD overthrew without compassion. Let him hear a cry in the morning, and a battle cry at noon, 17 because he did not kill me in the womb, and my mother was not made my grave, and her womb always with child." 18 Why did I come out from the womb, to see toil, and sorrow, and to end my days in shame?

Matthew 5:3

3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

1 Corinthians 6:19

19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

James 1:1-27

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are in the Diaspora: Greetings. 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 For that man should not think that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8 [he is] a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. 9 The brother in humble circumstances should exult in his high position. 10 But the one who is rich should exult in his low position, because he will pass away like a flower of the field. 11 For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its flower falls and its beauty is lost. So too, the rich man will fade away in the midst of his pursuits. 12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. 13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured away and enticed. 15 Then when passion has conceived it gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is full grown, gives birth to death. 16 Do not be deceived, my dear brothers. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or shifting shadow. 18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of His creation. 19 My beloved brothers, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, 20 for man’s anger does not bring about the righteousness that God desires. 21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly receive the word planted in you, which can save your souls. 22 Obey the message; do not merely listen to it, and deceive yourselves. 23 For anyone who hears the word but does not carry it out is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror, 24 and after observing himself goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom, and continues to do so—not being a forgetful hearer, but an effective doer—he will be blessed in what he does. 26 If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not bridle his tongue, he deceives his heart and his religion is worthless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

James 4:7

7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Psalms 13:1-6

1 For the music director. A psalm of David. How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I make decisions alone with sorrow in my heart day after day? How long will my enemy triumph over me? 3 Look, and answer me, LORD, my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death; 4 lest my enemy say, I have overcome him, and my foes rejoice when I am shaken. 5 But I trust in your loving kindness. My heart rejoices in your salvation. 6 I will sing to the LORD for he has been good to me.

Galatians 2:20

20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Romans 12:2

2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

1 Peter 5:7

Matthew 11:28-30

28 Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

1 Corinthians 10:13

13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it.

Philippians 4:6
