Proverbs 12:15

15 The ways of fools are straight before them; but the wise listens to advice.

Proverbs 3:5

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding.

Proverbs 24:1-34

1 Do not envy evil men, nor desire to be with them. 2 for their hearts plot violence and their lips talk about mischief. 3 By wisdom a house is built; and by understanding it is established. 4 by knowledge the rooms are filled with all rare and beautiful treasure. 5 A wise man is strong; and a man of knowledge increaseth strength. 6 for by wise guidance you wage your war; and victory is in many advisors. 7 Wisdom is too high for a fool: in the gate can he not open his mouth. 8 One who plots to do evil will be called a schemer. 9 The schemes of folly are sin. The mocker is detested by men. 10 If you falter in the time of trouble, your strength is small. 11 Rescue those who are being led away to death, and save those who stumble toward slaughter. 12 if you say, "Look, we do not know this," does not he who weighs hearts perceive it? And he who keeps your soul, he knows and will repay humankind according to his deeds. 13 Eat honey, my son, for it is good; and a honeycomb is sweet to thy taste: 14 Thus know wisdom for the sake of your soul, if you find it, then there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. 15 Do not lie in wait like an outlaw against the home of the righteous; do not do violence to his dwelling place. 16 for a righteous man falls seven times and rises up again; but the wicked are overthrown by calamity. 17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls. Do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles. 18 the LORD will see it and be displeased and turn his anger away from him. 19 Do not be furious because of evildoers, nor be envious at the wicked. 20 for there will be no reward to the evil man. The lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out. 21 My son, fear the LORD and the king. Do not join those who are rebellious: 22 for their calamity rises suddenly; and who knows the calamity of them both? 23 These also are sayings of the wise. To show partiality in judgment is not good. 24 Whoever says to the guilty, "You are righteous," the people will curse him; the nations will abhor him. 25 but it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and a rich blessing will come on them. 26 An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips. 27 Prepare your work outside, and get your fields ready. Afterwards, build your house. 28 Don't testify against your neighbor without a cause, and don't lie when you speak. 29 Don't say, "I'll do to him like he did to me, I'll be sure to pay him back for what he did." 30 I went by the field of the sluggard, by the vineyard of the man void of understanding: 31 Look, it was all grown over with thorns. Its surface was covered with nettles, and its stone wall was broken down. 32 Then I myself set my heart on what I was perceiving; I took admonition from what I saw: 33 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest: 34 So loss will come on you like an outlaw, and your need like an armed man.

Proverbs 23:9

9 Do not speak in the ears of a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words.

Proverbs 31:1-31

1 The words of king Lemuel; the oracle which his mother taught him. 2 "Oh, my son. Oh, son of my womb. Oh, son of my vows. 3 Do not give your strength to women, nor your ways to what destroys kings. 4 It is not for kings, Lemuel Not for kings to drink wine or for rulers to desire liquor. 5 lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted. 6 Give strong drink to the perishing, And wine to the bitter in soul, 7 let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. 8 Speak for those who cannot speak; seek justice for all those on the verge of destruction. 9 Open thy mouth and judge justly, and plead the cause of the poor and weak. 10 A woman of valour who can find? for her price is far above rubies. 11 Her husband safely trusts in her; as a result, he lacks nothing of value. 12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She seeks wool and flax, and works eagerly with her hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, she brings in her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still night, and gives meat to her family, and their food to her servant-girls. 16 She considers a field, and buys it. With the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard. 17 She girds her loins with strength, and makes strong her arms. 18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out by night. 19 She lays her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. 20 She opens her arms to the poor; yes, she extends her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22 She makes for herself coverings; her clothing is fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is respected in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and delivers sashes to the merchant. 25 She puts on strength and beauty, and is glad in the last days. 26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, faithful instruction is on her tongue. 27 She watches over the affairs of her household And does not eat the bread of slothfulness. 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. 29 "Many women do noble things, but you excel them all." 30 Charm is deceit and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears the LORD shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands: and let her works praise her in the gates.

Proverbs 27:17

17 As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Proverbs 29:11

11 A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control.

James 1:5

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
