¹⁰ Because you have kept My command to endure with patience, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

¹⁷ And I will send against you famine and fierce animals, and they will make you childless; and plague and blood will pass through you, and I will bring the sword upon you. I, the LORD, I have spoken!"

You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot. ¹⁴ Because he loves me, therefore I will deliver him; I will protect him because he knows my name. ¹⁵ He will call upon me and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him. ¹⁶ With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.
