Bible verses about "perfume" | VIN

Matthew 2:11

11 On coming into the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they fell down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, and of frankincense, and of myrrh.

Ecclesiastes 7:1

1 A good name is better than fine perfume; and the day of death better than the day of one's birth.

Mark 14:3

3 While Jesus was in Bethany sitting at the table in the home of Simon the leper, a woman arrived with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume made from pure nard. She broke open the jar and poured the perfume on his head.

2 Corinthians 2:14-17

14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us triumphantly as captives in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him. 15 For we are to God the sweet aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death to death; and to the other the aroma of life to life. And who is equal to such a calling? 17 For we are not like so many others, who peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as men sent from God.

Ephesians 5:1-33

1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children, 2 and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3 But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality or impurity or greed. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partners with them; 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, 9 for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth. 10 Test and prove what pleases the Lord. 11 Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything that is exposed to the light becomes visible, 14 for the light is making everything visible. That is why it says, "Wake up, O sleeper! Arise from the dead, and the Messiah will shine on you.'' 15 Be strictly careful, then, how you live, not as unwise but as wise. 16 making the most of every opportunity, because these days are evil. 17 Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. 18 Do not get drunk with wine, which is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is himself the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church. 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

John 12:3

3 Then Mary took a pound of pure spikenard, very costly, and poured it over his feet, and wiped his feet with her hair, and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

Exodus 30:33-37

33 Whoever makes any like it, or puts it on one who is not a priest, will be cut off from his people. 34 The LORD said to Moses, "Take for yourself spices: stacte, onycha, galbanum, and spices with pure frankincense, all in equal amounts. 35 and make it into a compound of incense, the work of a perfumer, salted, pure, holy. 36 You shall grind some of it fine, and put some before the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting where I shall meet with you. It shall be most holy to you. 37 "Do not make any incense for yourselves using this formula. Treat it as holy to the LORD.
