¹ {Of David} Praise the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me praise his holy name. ² Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. ³ who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, ⁴ who redeems your life from corruption; who crowns you with mercy and compassion; ⁵ who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. ⁶ the LORD works righteousness and judgments for all the oppressed. ⁷ who made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel. ⁸ the LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loyal love. ⁹ He will not always chasten, nor will he keep his anger forever. ¹⁰ He has not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. ¹¹ For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His grace toward those who fear Him. ¹² As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. ¹³ Like a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him. ¹⁴ For he knows how we are made. He remembers that we are dust. ¹⁵ As for man, his days are as grass: his beautiful growth is like the flower of the field. ¹⁶ For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. ¹⁷ But the loyal love of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to their children's children, ¹⁸ to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his precepts. ¹⁹ The LORD has established his throne in heaven and his kingdom rules over all. ²⁰ Bless the LORD, you his angels, you mighty heroes who do his word by obeying the sound of his word. ²¹ Bless the LORD, all you his hosts, you his attendants who do his will. ²² Praise the LORD, all you his works in all places of his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

⁸ He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

¹² Therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.

¹² Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the Law that gives freedom. ¹³ For judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

¹⁶ Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

¹³ But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

⁷ Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

³⁶ Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

¹³ For judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
