²⁸ Your purposes will come about, and light will be shining on your ways.

³ Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and inscrutable things which you do not know.

¹ The hand of the LORD was upon me and he brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD and set me down in the midst of the valley and it was full of bones. ² He caused me to pass among them round about. There were very many on the surface of the valley and they were very dry. ³ He said to me: "Son of man, can these bones live?" I answered, "O Sovereign LORD, you know." ⁴ And He said to me, Prophesy to these bones and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD: ⁵ "'The Sovereign LORD says to these bones: "I will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life. ⁶ I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you will live. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”'” ⁷ So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. ⁸ And I beheld and lo! sinews and flesh were grown upon them, and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. ⁹ Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and tell the wind, 'The Sovereign LORD says: “Come from the four winds, breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”'” ¹⁰ So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath entered into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, a very great congregation. ¹¹ Then he said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost. We are clean cut off. ¹² Prophesy and tell them: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "My people, I will open your graves and take you out of them. I will bring you to Israel. ¹³ So shall ye know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves, and bring you out of them. ¹⁴ 'I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live. I will place you in your own land. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have spoken, and I have done it,' declares the LORD." ¹⁵ And the word of the LORD was to me, ¹⁶ "Son of man, take a stick and write on it: For Judah and for the Israelites who are associated with it.' Then take another stick and write on it: 'The stick of Ephraim, for Joseph and for all the people of Israel associated with it.' ¹⁷ And join them to one another into one stick. And they shall become one in your hand. ¹⁸ 'Tell us what you mean by this.' ¹⁹ Then say to them: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will take Joseph's stick, which is in Ephraim's hand, and the tribes of Israel associated with it, and I will put them with Judah's stick. I will make them into one stick. They will be one in my hand."' ²⁰ When you hold the sticks in your hand, let the people see them. ²¹ "Tell them: 'The Sovereign LORD says: "I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from everywhere and bring them to their own land. ²² I will form them into one nation in the land on the mountains of Israel. One king will rule all of them. They will no longer be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms. ²³ They will no longer dishonor themselves with their idols, with their detestable things, or with their rebellious acts. I will forgive them for all the times they turned away from me and sinned. I will cleanse them so that they will be my people, and I will be their God. ²⁴ And my servant David will be king over them and they all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances and observe my statutes and do them. ²⁵ "'"They will live in the land that I gave my servant Jacob, the land where their ancestors lived. They, their children, and their grandchildren will live in it for a very long time. My servant David will be their prince for a very long time. ²⁶ Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them. It will be an everlasting covenant with them. I will place them, multiply them, and will set my sanctuary among them forever more. ²⁷ "'"My dwelling place will be with them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. ²⁸ The nations will know that I am the LORD who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary is among them forever more.”'”

²³ I tell you with certainty, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' if he doesn't doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.

³⁵ Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

²⁰ Now to Him who is able to do infinitely more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,

¹⁹ And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

¹² For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

¹⁴ Thus know wisdom for the sake of your soul, if you find it, then there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.

²⁸ Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

⁸ He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

⁸ And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

⁷ Only be strong and very courageous, to observe to do according to all the law, which moses my servant commanded you. do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. ⁸ This set of instructions is not to cease being a part of your conversations. meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to carry out everything that's written in it, for then you'll prosper and succeed. ⁹ Haven't I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” ¹⁰ Then Joshua gave orders to the officials of the people. ¹¹ "Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people: 'Prepare your provisions; ⌊in⌋ three days you are to cross the Jordan to go possess the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess.'" ¹² To the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh Joshua said, ¹³ "Remember the word Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you: 'the LORD your God has given you rest, and has given you this land.'" ¹⁴ Your wives, your little ones and your livestock shall live in the land which Moses gave you beyond the Jordan; but all your mighty men of valour shall pass over before your brothers, armed, and shall help them ¹⁵ until the LORD has given your brothers rest, as he has given you, and they have also possessed the land which the LORD your God gives them. Then you shall return to the land of your possession, and possess it, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise.'" ¹⁶ And they answered Joshua, saying, All that you have commanded us we will do and wherever you send us we will go.

⁵ So the man gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.

⁶ Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

²⁰ I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have complete boldness, so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

⁵ My soul, rest thou only in God, for my hope is from him.

²⁸ The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish.

¹⁸ for there is surely a future life, and what you hope for will not be cut off.

¹¹ For I know the plans that I have for you,' says the LORD, 'plans for your welfare, and not for calamity, to give you hope and a future.
