Psalms 1:1-150:6

1 Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water. It yields its fruit in season and its leaves do not wither. Whatever he does prospers. 4 This is not so for the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. 5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6 for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

Psalms 2:1-150:6

1 Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. 3 "Let us break their bands asunder and throw off from us their yoke." 4 The One who dwells in heaven laughs. the LORD scoffs at them. 5 Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his rage (fury). He says: 6 "But I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill." 7 I will tell of the decree. The LORD said to me, "You are my son. Today I have become your father. 8 "Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. 9 "You will rule them with an iron scepter. You will dash them to pieces like pottery!" 10 So then, O kings, be wise. Be warned, O rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed (happy) are all who take refuge (put trust) in him.

Psalms 3:1-150:6

1 LORD, how my adversaries have increased. Many rise up against me. 2 Many are saying about me, "God will never deliver him!" [Interlude] 3 But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. 4 I cry to LORD with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah. 5 I lie down and sleep, I wake up, because the LORD sustains me. 6 I will not fear multitudes of people, who set themselves against me on every side. 7 Arise, LORD. Save me, my God. For you slap all my enemies in the face. You break the teeth of the wicked. 8 To the LORD belongs deliverance; may your blessing be over your people. Selah

Psalms 4:1-150:6

1 For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm by David. Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. 2 O you sons of men, how long will you turn my glory into shame? how long will you love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah. 3 But know that the LORD has set apart the godly for Himself. the LORD hears when I call to Him. 4 Be disturbed but do not sin. Commune in your heart on your bed and be silent. Selah 5 Offer correct sacrifices, and trust in the LORD. 6 Many say, “Who will show us any good?” Yahweh, let the light of your face shine on us. 7 You have put gladness in my heart more than when their grain and their wine abound. 8 I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, LORD, enable me to live securely.

Psalms 5:1-150:6

1 To the chief musician, for flutes. A Psalm of David Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my meditation. 2 Listen to the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. 3 Yahweh, in the morning you will hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly. 4 For you are not a God who takes pleasure in wrongdoing; there is no evil with you. 5 The arrogant shall not stand in your sight. You hate all evildoers. 6 You destroy speakers of lies. A man of bloodshed and deceit the LORD abhors. 7 But I, in the abundance of Your grace, I will come into Your house; I will worship in Your fear toward Your holy temple. 8 Lead me in Your righteousness, because of my enemies; make straight Your way before me. 9 For there is not anything reliable in his mouth; their inner part is destruction. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongue they speak deceit. 10 Declare them guilty, God! Let them fall by their own schemes. Drive them away because of their many transgressions, for they have rebelled against you. 11 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice. Let them ever sing for joy because you defend them. Let those who love your name exult in you. 12 For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; You will surround him with favor, as with a shield.

Psalms 6:1-150:6

1 For the music director; with stringed instruments, on the Sheminith. A psalm of David. O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger, and do not discipline me in your wrath. 2 Be merciful to me, the LORD, for I am faint. O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony. 3 I am in anguish. How long, O LORD, how long? 4 Return, O LORD, and deliver me. Save me because of your unfailing love. 5 No one remembers you when he is dead. Who praises you from the grave? 6 I am worn out from groaning. All night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears. 7 My eyes grow weak with sorrow. I am weak because of all my foes. 8 Depart from me, all you who do evil. the LORD hears my weeping. 9 the LORD has heard my supplication. the LORD accepts my prayer. 10 All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed. They will turn back in sudden disgrace.

Psalms 7:1-150:6

1 A song of David, which he sang to the LORD on the words of Cush the Benjamite. O LORD my God, I seek refuge in You; save me from all who pursue me, and deliver me; 2 Or else he will tear me apart like a lion, ripping to pieces, with none to deliver. 3 O LORD my God, if I have done this, if there is wrong in my hands, 4 if I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me, or oppressed my enemy without cause, 5 then let the enemy pursue and overtake me, trample my life to the ground, and lay me in the dust. 6 Arise, LORD, in your anger. Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries. Awake, my God; you have appointed judgment. 7 And let the assembly of peoples surround you, and over it return on high. 8 the LORD shall judge the people; judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity on me. 9 Let the evil of the wicked come to an end. Establish the righteous, you who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God. 10 My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart. 11 God is a righteous judge, a God who is angry with sinners every day. 12 If a man doesn't relent, he will sharpen his sword; he has bent and strung his bow. 13 He has also prepared for himself deadly weapons. He makes ready his flaming arrows. 14 But the wicked one travails with evil, he conceives malice and gives birth to lies. 15 He has dug a hole, and has fallen into the pit which he made. 16 His trouble comes back on his head, and his violence comes down on his skull. 17 I will give thanks to the LORD according to his righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Psalms 8:1-150:6

1 To the chief musician, on the harp. A Psalm of David. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth; You have set Your glory above the heavens! 2 From the lips of children and infants you have established praise, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger. 3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained; 4 what is man, that You are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You care for him? 5 You made him a little lower than the angels, You have crowned him with glory and honor; 6 You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet: 7 all sheep and oxen, yes, and the beasts of the field; 8 the birds of the air, and fishes of the sea; whatever travel the paths of the seas. 9 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!

Psalms 9:1-150:6

1 [To the Chief Musician. To the tune of “Death of the Son.” A Psalm of David.] I will praise you, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will show forth all your marvelous works. 2 I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. 3 When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish before you. 4 For thou hast executed my right and my cause, Thou hast sat on the throne, judging righteously: 5 You have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever. 6 The enemy is finished-in ruins forever. You have uprooted their cities. Even the memory of them has faded. 7 But the LORD reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment. 8 And he will judge the world with righteousness. He will judge the peoples with equity. 9 the LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a place of safety in times of trouble. 10 Those who know your name will trust you, for you have not forsaken those who seek you, LORD. 11 Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion, and declare among the people what he has done. 12 For he who avenges blood remembers them. He doesn’t forget the cry of the afflicted. 13 Have mercy on me, Yahweh. See my affliction by those who hate me, and lift me up from the gates of death, 14 that I may declare all Your praises in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in Your salvation. 15 The nations have sunk into the pit they made; their foot is caught in the net they hid. 16 the LORD is known [by] the judgment he hath executed: the wicked is ensnared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah. 17 The wicked shall return to Sheol, even all the nations that forget God 18 for the needy shall not always be forgotten; the hope of the poor shall never perish. 19 Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the nations be judged in your sight. 20 Put them in fear, O LORD, let the nations know they are but men. Selah.

Psalms 10:1-150:6

1 Why do you stand far off, LORD? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? 2 In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak. They are caught in the schemes that they devise. 3 For the wicked one boasts about his own desire; he blesses the greedy and despises the LORD. 4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek. All his thoughts are "There is no God." 5 Their ways always seem prosperous. Your judgments are on high, far away from them. They scoff at all their enemies. 6 He says to himself: "Nothing can shake me. I will never face trouble." 7 His mouth is full of curses, deception, and oppression. Trouble and wrongdoing are on the tip of his tongue. 8 He lies in wait near the villages. From ambushes, he murders the innocent. His eyes are secretly set against the helpless. 9 He lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush. He lies in wait to catch the helpless. He catches the helpless when he draws him in his net. 10 The helpless are crushed. They collapse. They fall under his strength. 11 He says in his heart, "God has forgotten. He has hidden his face. He never sees." 12 Arise, LORD. God, lift up your hand. Do not forget the helpless. 13 Why does the wicked person condemn God and say in his heart, God won't call me into account? 14 But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless. 15 Break the arm of the wicked and evil one; search out his wickedness until You find none. 16 The LORD is king forever and ever; nations will perish from his land. 17 LORD, you heard the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen them, you will listen carefully, 18 to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more.

Psalms 11:1-150:6

1 In the LORD, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain." 2 For lo, the wicked bend their bow, they arrange their arrow upon the string, to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart. 3 When the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? 4 the LORD is in his holy temple. the LORD is on his throne in heaven. His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men. 5 The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence his soul hates. 6 On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup. 7 For the LORD is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face.

Psalms 12:1-150:6

1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men 2 Everyone lies to his neighbor. They speak with flattering lips, and with a double heart. 3 May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts, 4 They say: "We will overcome with our tongues. With lips such as ours, who can be our master?" 5 Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise, says the LORD; I will set him in safety from those who malign him. 6 The Words of the LORD are pure Words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou, Lord, wilt keep us and preserve us, from this generation, and forever. 8 The wicked walk on every side, when what is vile is exalted among the sons of men.

Psalms 13:1-150:6

1 For the music director. A psalm of David. How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I make decisions alone with sorrow in my heart day after day? How long will my enemy triumph over me? 3 Look, and answer me, LORD, my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death; 4 lest my enemy say, I have overcome him, and my foes rejoice when I am shaken. 5 But I trust in your loving kindness. My heart rejoices in your salvation. 6 I will sing to the LORD for he has been good to me.

Psalms 14:1-150:6

1 For the music director. Of David. The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They do abominable deeds. There is none who does good. 2 the LORD looked down from Heaven on the sons of men, to see if there were any who understood and sought God. 3 They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one. 4 Have all evildoers no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread? They do not call on the LORD. 5 There they are utterly terrified, for God is in the generation of the righteous. 6 You would frustrate the plans of the lowly, but the LORD is his refuge. 7 Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion. When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, may Jacob rejoice, may Israel be glad.

Psalms 15:1-150:6

1 LORD, who shall dwell in your sanctuary? Who shall live on your holy hill? 2 He who walks blamelessly and does what is right, and speaks truth in his heart; 3 he who doesn't slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his friend, nor casts slurs against his fellow man; 4 in whose eyes a vile man is despised, but who honors those who fear the LORD; he who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and doesn't change; 5 He does not lend his money at interest, and does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

Psalms 16:1-150:6

1 Michtam. Of David. Keep me safe, O God: for in you I have put my faith. 2 I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing." 3 As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight. 4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who run after another god. I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood; and I will not take their names on my lips. 5 Yahweh assigned my portion and my cup. You made my lot secure. 6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yea, I have a beautiful inheritance. 7 I will praise the LORD who counseled me: also the night my reins instructed me. 8 I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also shall rest secure. 10 You do not abandon me to the grave or allow your holy one to decay. 11 You have made known to me the ways of life; You will fill me with joy with Your countenance: at Your right hand there are delights forever.

Psalms 17:1-150:6

1 Hear, LORD, my righteous plea; Give ear to my prayer, that doesn't go out of deceitful lips. 2 Let my vindication come forth from you; let your eyes see fairness. 3 You have tried my heart; you have examined me by night; you have tested me; you found nothing. I have decided that my mouth will not transgress. 4 As for the deeds of men, by the word of your lips, I have kept myself from the ways of the violent. 5 My steps have held fast to your paths. My feet have not slipped. 6 I call upon you, for you will answer me, God. Listen closely to me and hear my prayer. 7 Show your marvelous loving kindness, O you who saves by your right hand those who take refuge from those who rise up. 8 Keep me as the apple of your eye. Hide me in the shadow of your wings 9 From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who surround me. 10 They close up their callous hearts. With their mouth they speak proudly. 11 They are casting me out now; they surrounded me; their eyes set to turn me to the ground. 12 They observed me, like a lion eager for prey, and like a young lion lurking in coverts. 13 Arise, O LORD, confront him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, by your sword: 14 from men by your hand, Yahweh, from men of the world, whose portion is in this life. You fill the belly of your cherished ones. Your sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children. 15 By contrast, I in righteousness shall see your face. Upon awakening I will be satisfied seeing your form.

Psalms 18:1-150:6

1 For the music director. Of David, the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song when the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. And he said: "I love you, O LORD, my strength." 2 the LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower. 3 I call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies. 4 The ropes of death encircled me, and streams of ruin overwhelmed me. 5 The cords of the grave surrounded me. The snares of death confronted me. 6 (18:7) In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God; out of His temple He heard my voice, and my cry came before Him unto His ears. 7 Then the earth shook and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains trembled, and they staggered because he was angry. 8 Smoke went up from his nostrils. A raging fire came out of his mouth. Glowing coals were kindled by it. 9 He lowered the heavens and came down; and darkness was under his feet. 10 He rode upon a cherub and flew; he soared upon the wings of the wind. 11 But he made darkness his covering, His tent around him was dark water in clouds of air. 12 Out of the brightness in front of him, those rain clouds passed by with hailstones and lightning. 13 Then the Lord thundered from heaven, the Most High uttered his voice: 14 He sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he multiplied lightnings, and routed them. 15 Then the channels of the sea were seen, and the foundations of the world were uncovered at your rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils. 16 He reached down from high above and took hold of me. He pulled me out of the raging water. 17 He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, because they were too strong for me. 18 They confronted me on the day of disaster, but the LORD was my support. 19 So he brought me out to a spacious place. He delivered me because he delighted in me. 20 the LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands he has repaid me. 21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, And I have not been wicked by turning from my Elohim." 22 All his judgments are in front of me and I have not turned away from his laws. 23 and I was blameless before him, and I kept myself from my guilt. 24 Therefore the LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight. 25 With the faithful you show yourself faithful. With the blameless man you show yourself blameless. 26 To the pure you show yourself pure. but to the wicked you show yourself shrewd. 27 You save humble people, but you humiliate the proud. 28 O LORD, you light my lamp. My God turns my darkness into light. 29 For with you I can charge a troop, and with my God I can scale a wall. 30 As for God, his way is perfect. The word of the LORD is pure. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him. 31 For who is God besides the LORD? Or who is a Rock except our God? 32 It is God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect. 33 He makes my feet like the feet of female-deers and sets me upon my high places. 34 He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. 35 You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great. 36 You widened my steps beneath me, So that my limbs have not tottered." 37 I chased my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back until they were finished off. 38 I crushed them, and they were not able to rise: they fell under my feet. 39 You armed me with strength for battle. You made my opponents bow at my feet. 40 You made my enemies turn their backs to me. I destroyed those who hated me. 41 They cried, but there was none to save; even to the LORD, but he did not answer them. 42 And I ground them like dust in the wind, I emptied them out like mud of the streets. 43 You have delivered me from the strifes of the people. You have made me the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known will serve me. 44 As soon as they hear of me, they will obey me. Foreigners will cringe in front of me. 45 Foreigners will wilt away; they will come trembling out of their stronghold. 46 the LORD lives! Blessed be my rock. Exalted be the God of my salvation, 47 He is the God who avenges me, and speaks to people under me. 48 He saves me from my enemies. You lift me up above my opponents. You rescue me from violent people. 49 Therefore I will praise you, LORD, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name. 50 He gives great victories to his king. He shows mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his descendants forever.

Psalms 19:1-150:6

1 For the conclusion. A Psalm by David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament proclaimeth the work of his hands. 2 Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, 5 which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course. 6 It rises from one end of the heavens. It circles around to the other. Nothing is hidden from its heat. 7 The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul, The testimonies of the LORD are stedfast, Making wise the simple, 8 The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commands of the LORD are pure, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is clean, standing forever. The judgments of the LORD are true; they are altogether righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, even much fine gold, and sweeter than honey and drops from the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them is your servant warned. In keeping them there is great reward. 12 Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors. 13 Also, keep back your servant from arrogant sins; let them not rule over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalms 20:1-150:6

1 To the Director: A Davidic Psalm. May the LORD answer you in the day of distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. 2 send you help from the sanctuary, grant you support from Zion, 3 May He remember all your sacrifices, and accept your whole burnt offerings. Pause. 4 He will give you according to your heart, and fulfill all your plans. 5 May we shout for joy at your deliverance and unfurl our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions. 6 Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He answers him from His holy Heaven with the saving strengths of His right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. 8 They will sink to their knees and fall, but we will rise and stand firm. 9 Save, LORD. Let the King answer us when we call.

Psalms 21:1-150:6

1 For the music director. A psalm of David. O LORD, the king will rejoice in your strength, and how greatly he will delight in your help. 2 You have given him the desire of his heart, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah 3 You go before him with wonderful blessings, and put a crown of fine gold on his head. 4 He asked life from you; you gave it to him— length of days forever and ever. 5 By thy salvation his glory is great. Thou wilt confer on him honour and majesty. 6 Indeed, you have given him eternal blessings; you will make him glad with the joy of your presence. 7 For the king trusts in the LORD, and in the mercy of the Most High; he will not be shaken. 8 Your hand will find all your enemies, your right hand will find those who hate you. 9 When you appear, you will set them ablaze like a fire furnace. In his wrath, the LORD will consume them, and the fire will devour them. 10 You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the children of men. 11 Though they plot evil against you and devise schemes, they will not succeed. 12 For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face. 13 Be exalted, O LORD, in your strength. We will sing and praise your power.

Psalms 22:1-150:6

1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? 2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not answer; and in the night, and am not silent. 3 Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. 4 In You our fathers trusted; They trusted, and You delivered them." 5 They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed. 6 But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by humankind and despised by people. 7 All who see me deride me; they bust out the lip, they shake the head, 8 "He trusts in the LORD; let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him." 9 But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust while at my mother's breasts. 10 On you I was cast from the womb. From my mother's belly you have been my God. 11 Don’t be far from me, for trouble is near. For there is no one to help. 12 Many bulls have surrounded me, strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me. 13 they gape on me with their mouths as a tearing and a roaring lion. 14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax; it is melted within me. 15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; and you have brought me into the dust of death. 16 For dogs have surrounded me; a gang of evil-doers has encircled me. They pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I can count all my bones. People stare and gloat over me. 18 They divide My garments among them and cast lots for My clothing. 19 But You, O LORD, be not far off; O My Strength, hurry to help Me! 20 Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog. 21 Save me from the mouth of the lion, and from the horns of the wild oxen answer me. 22 I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the assembly, I will praise you. 23 You who fear the LORD, praise him. All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him. Revere him, all you descendants of Israel. 24 For He has not despised nor hated the affliction of the afflicted; and He has not hidden His face from him, but when he cried to Him, He heard. 25 From you comes my praise in the great assembly. I will pay my vows before those who fear him. 26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD shall praise Him; your heart shall live forever. 27 All the limits of the earth shall remember and return to the LORD, And all the families of the nations shall bow down before Him." 28 Because the kingship belongs to the LORD, and he rules over the nations. 29 All the fat ones of the earth will eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust will bow before him, even he who cannot keep his soul alive. 30 Posterity shall serve him. Future generations shall be told about the Lord. 31 They will come and tell his saving deeds to a people yet to be born, that he has done it.

Psalms 23:1-150:6

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me, even in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalms 24:1-150:6

1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness of it; the world, and those who live in it. 2 for he founded it on the seas and established it on the rivers. 3 Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? 4 He that has clean hands, and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God his Savior. 6 This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, O God of Jacob. Selah. 7 Lift your heads, you gates. Be lifted up, you ancient doors, so that the king of glory will come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates, yea, lift them up, ye everlasting doors; that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? the LORD Almighty, He is the King of glory. Selah.

Psalms 25:1-150:6

1 Of David. To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul. 2 I trust you, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame. Do not let my enemy’s triumph over me. 3 Yes, none who wait for you will be put to shame. They will be put to shame who deal treacherously without cause. 4 Show me your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. 5 Lead me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are God my Savior; and I have waited on You all the day. 6 Remember, O LORD, Your compassions and Your mercies; for they are from eternity. 7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to your mercy remember me for your goodness' sake, O LORD. 8 Good and right is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. 9 He leads humble people to do what is right, and he teaches them his way. 10 All the ways of the Lord are mercy and good faith for those who keep his agreement and his witness. 11 For the sake of your name, LORD, forgive my sin, for it is great. 12 Who is the man that fears the Lord? He shall instruct him in the way which he has chosen. 13 His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the land. 14 The Lord is the strength of them who fear him; and it is his covenant to display it for them. 15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. 17 The troubles of my heart are multiplied: deliver me from my necessities. 18 Look upon my affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins. 19 See how my enemies have increased in number, how they have hated me with vicious hatred! 20 O keep my soul, and deliver me. Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in thee. 21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, because I wait for you. 22 Redeem Israel, God, from all of his troubles.

Psalms 26:1-150:6

1 Davidic. Vindicate me, LORD, because I have walked in integrity; I have trusted in the LORD without wavering. 2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; purify my heart and my mind. 3 For your mercy is before my eyes; and I was well-pleased in your truth. 4 I do not sit with deceitful people, nor will I go about with hypocrites. 5 I hate the assembly of evildoers, and will not sit with the wicked. 6 I will wash my hands in innocence: so will I go about your altar, O LORD: 7 to hear the voice of praise, and to declare all Your wonderful works. 8 LORD, I love the habitation of your house, the place where your glory dwells. 9 Do not take away my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men 10 In whose hands are wicked devices, and whose right hand is full of bribes. 11 But I will walk in my truthfulness; redeem me and be merciful to me. 12 My foot stands on level ground. In assemblies I will bless the LORD.

Psalms 27:1-150:6

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When evildoers drew near against me To devour my flesh, They who were to me my foes and my enemies, They stumbled and fell." 3 Though an army is deployed against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident. 4 One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple 5 Because in the day of trouble he will hide me in his shelter. He will hide me in the covering of his tabernacle He will lift me up upon a rock. 6 Now my head will be lifted up above my enemies, even those who surround me. I will sacrifice in his tent with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melodies to the LORD. 7 Hear, O LORD, my voice when I call, and be gracious to me and answer me. 8 My heart says to You, Seek my face; Your face, O LORD, I will seek; 9 Do not hide your face from me; do not turn your servant away in anger. You have been my help; do not abandon nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then LORD will take me up. 11 Teach me your way, LORD. Lead me in a straight path, because of my enemies. 12 Do not deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me, such as breathe out violence. 13 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and let thy heart take courage: yea, wait for the LORD.

Psalms 28:1-150:6

1 ([Psalm of David]) O LORD, I call to you. O my rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. If you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit (grave). 2 Hear the voice of my petitions, when I cry to you, when I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place. 3 Do not draw me away with the wicked, with evildoers who speak peace with their neighbors, but mischief is in their hearts. 4 Pay them back for what they have done, for their evil deeds. Pay them back for what their hands have done, and give them recompense. 5 Because they do not regard the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he will break them down and not build them up. 6 Blessed is the LORD for he has heard my prayer (supplication)! 7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I received help. My heart exalts, and I give thanks to him with my song. 8 The LORD is the strength of his people. He is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed. 9 Save your people, and bless your inheritance. Be their shepherd also, and bear them up forever.

Psalms 29:1-150:6

1 A psalm of David. Ascribe to the LORD, O sons of God, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. 2 Give to the LORD, the glory due to his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. 3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders. the LORD is over many waters. 4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic. 5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars. Yes, the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. 6 He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young, wild ox. 7 The voice of the LORD strikes with flashes of lightning. 8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. 9 The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and strippeth the forests bare; and in His temple all say: 'Glory.' 10 the LORD sat enthroned over the flood. the LORD sits enthroned as king forever. 11 May the LORD give strength to his people. May the LORD bless his people with peace.

Psalms 30:1-150:6

1 A psalm; a song for the dedication of the house. Of David. I will exalt you, O LORD, because you have drawn me up, and have not made my enemies rejoice over me. 2 O LORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you healed me. 3 O LORD, you brought me up from the grave. You kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit. 4 Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of his. Give thanks to his holy name. 5 For His anger is only a moment; in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. 6 When things went well for me I said, I will never be moved. 7 You, LORD, when you favored me, made my mountain stand strong; but when you hid your face, I was troubled. 8 To you, O LORD, I called, and to the Lord I pleaded for grace saying, 9 "What gain is there in my death, in my going down into the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness? 10 Hear, O LORD, and be gracious to me; O LORD, be my Help!" 11 You have turned my wailing into my dancing. You have removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy 12 so that I may sing praise to you and not remain silent. LORD, my God, I will give you thanks forever!

Psalms 31:1-150:6

1 For the music director. A psalm of David. In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge. Let me not be put to shame ever. Deliver me by your righteousness. 2 Turn your ear toward me. Rescue me quickly. Be a rock of refuge for me, a stronghold fortress to save me. 3 For you are my rock and my fortress. So, for the sake of your name, lead me and guide me. 4 Pull me from the net they hide for me; for you are my stronghold: 5 Into your hands I commit my spirit. You redeem me, LORD, God of truth. 6 I hate those who cling to false gods, but I do trust in the LORD. 7 And I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy; for You have seen my affliction; You have known the distresses in my soul; 8 You have not handed me over to the hand of the enemy. You have set my feet in a large place. 9 Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in distress. My eye wastes away with grief, [yea], my soul and my body. 10 For my life is spent with sorrow, my years with sighing. My strength fails because of my affliction, and my bones waste away. 11 Because of all my adversaries I have become utterly contemptible to my neighbors, a horror to my acquaintances. Those who saw me on the street fled from me. 12 I am forgotten from their hearts like a dead man. I am like broken pottery. 13 I have heard the slander of many; it is like terror all around me, as they conspire together and plot to take my life. 14 But I trust in you, LORD. I say, "You are my God." 15 My times are in Your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who pursue me. 16 Make your face to shine on your servant. Save me in your loving kindness. 17 Let me not be put to shame, O LORD, for I have called upon thee. Let the wicked be put to shame. Let them be silent in Sheol. 18 Let the lying lips be put to silence; who speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. 19 Oh how great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men. 20 In the shelter of your presence you will hide them from the plotting of man. You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of tongues. 21 Praise be to the LORD, for he has shown me his marvelous loving kindness in a besieged city. 22 When I was panic-stricken, I said: I have been cut off from your sight. But you heard my pleas for mercy when I cried out to you for help. 23 O love the LORD, all you his saints: for the LORD preserves the faithful, and plentifully repays the proud doer. 24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the LORD.

Psalms 32:1-150:6

1 {Of David. Instruction.} Blessed is he [whose] transgression is forgiven, [whose] sin is covered! 2 Blessed is the man to whom LORD does not impute sin, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. 3 When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. 4 For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah. 5 I acknowledged my sin to you and I did not hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. 6 For this, let everyone who is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him. 7 You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. 9 Do not be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you. 10 Many sorrows come to the wicked, but loving kindness shall surround him who trusts in Yahweh. 11 Rejoice in the LORD, and be glad, ye righteous; and shout for joy, all ye upright in heart.

Psalms 33:1-150:6

1 Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous. Praise is fitting for the upright. 2 Give thanks unto the LORD with the harp; sing psalms unto him with the ten-stringed lute. 3 Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with shouts of joy. 4 For the word of the LORD is right, and all his work is in faithfulness. 5 He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the LORD's loving-kindness. 6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, and all the hosts of them by the breath of his mouth. 7 He gathered the waters of the ocean into a heap; he put the deeps into storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world stand in awe of Him. 9 For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm. 10 the LORD nullifies the counsel of the nations. He frustrates the plans of the peoples. 11 The counsel of the LORD stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he has chosen for his inheritance. 13 From heaven the LORD looks; he sees all the children of humankind. 14 From His dwelling place He looks on all the people of the earth. 15 He formed the hearts of them all; he understands everything they do. 16 The king is not saved by great force; a mighty man is not saved by great strength. 17 It is vain to trust in a horse for deliverance, even with its great strength, it cannot deliver. 18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope for his loyal love 19 to deliver their soul from death, to keep them alive in famine. 20 We wait on the LORD; he is our help and our shield. 21 Our heart rejoices in him, for we trust in his holy name. 22 LORD, may your gracious love be upon us, even as we hope in you.

Psalms 34:1-150:6

1 I will bless the LORD at all times. His praise will always be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall boast in the Lord; let the meek hear, and rejoice. 3 Oh magnify the LORD with me. Let us exalt his name together. 4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. 5 All who look to him will be radiant. Their faces will never be covered with shame. 6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. 8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. 9 Fear the LORD, you holy ones of his; for those who fear him lack nothing. 10 Young lions lack and go hungry, but those who seek the LORD will never lack any good thing. 11 Come, you children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 12 What man soever desireth life and loveth to see good days:

Psalms 34:12-18

12 What man soever desireth life and loveth to see good days: 13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking lies.

Psalms 34:13-18

13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking lies. 14 Turn from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it.

Psalms 34:14-18

14 Turn from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it. 15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.

Psalms 34:15-18

15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry. 16 The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.

Psalms 34:16-18

16 The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. 17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

Psalms 34:17-18

17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. 18 the LORD is near to the broken-hearted; and saves those who are of a contrite spirit.

Psalms 34:18-18

18 the LORD is near to the broken-hearted; and saves those who are of a contrite spirit. 19 A righteous person will have many troubles, but the LORD will deliver him from them all. 20 God protects all his bones; not one of them will be broken. 21 Evil will kill the wicked and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. 22 the LORD ransometh the soul of his servants, And none shall be held guilty, who seek refuge in him.

Psalms 35:1-150:6

1 Contend, LORD, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me. 2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help. 3 And draw the spear and javelin to meet those who pursue me. Say to my soul, "I am your salvation." 4 Let those who seek my life be put to shame and disgraced. Let those who plan my downfall be turned back in confusion. 5 Let them be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the LORD driving them. 6 Let their way be dark and slippery, with the angel of the LORD pursuing them. 7 For they have hidden their pit-net for me without cause; without cause they have dug for my soul. 8 Surprise them with destruction. Let the net that they hid catch them. Let them fall into their own pit and be destroyed. 9 Then my soul will rejoice in the LORD; it will rejoice in his salvation. 10 All my bones shall say, "LORD, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?" 11 Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they accuse me of things that I know nothing about. 12 They repay me evil for good, Bereaving my soul. 13 But when they were sick, I wore sackcloth. I humbled myself with fasting. My prayer returned unanswered. 14 I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother. I bowed down mourning, as he who weeps for his mother. 15 Yet, when I stumbled, they rejoiced and gathered together. They gathered together against me. Unknown attackers tore me apart without stopping. 16 Like the profane mockers in feasts, they gnashed their teeth at me. 17 Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destruction, my precious life from the lions. 18 I will give thanks to you in the great assembly; among the mighty people I will praise you. 19 Let not those who are wrongfully my enemies rejoice over me. Nor let those who hate me without cause wink the eye. 20 For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land. 21 They open their mouths against me and say: Aha! Aha! Our own eyes have seen it. 22 This you have seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me. 23 Wake up, and rise to my defense. Plead my case, O my God the LORD. 24 Judge me by your righteousness, O LORD my God. Do not let them gloat. 25 Do not let them say: Aha, just what we wanted! We have swallowed him up. 26 Let those who gloat over my downfall be thoroughly put to shame and confused. Let those who promote themselves at my expense be clothed with shame and disgrace. 27 Let those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and rejoice! Let them continually say, "Magnify the LORD, who delights in giving peace to his servant." 28 My tongue will declare your righteousness and your praise all day long.

Psalms 36:1-150:6

1 For the Chief Musician. By David, the servant of the LORD. An oracle is within my heart about the disobedience of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes. 2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes, too much to detect and hate his sin. 3 The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit. He has ceased to be wise and to do good. 4 He plans sin on his bed. He puts himself on a way that is not good. He does not reject evil. 5 Your loving kindness, O LORD, is in the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. 6 Your righteousness is like the great mountains; your judgments are a great deep: O LORD, you preserve man and beast. 7 How precious is your gracious love, God! The children of men take refuge in the shadow of your wings. 8 They are refreshed with the fullness of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights. 9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. 10 Oh continue Your grace to those who know You, Your righteousness to the upright in heart. 11 Don't let the foot of pride come against me; don't let the hand of the wicked drive me away. 12 There the evil-doers have fallen; they are cast down, and cannot rise.

Psalms 37:1-150:6

1 Of David. Do not fret because of evildoers; do not be envious of doers of wickedness. 2 For like the grass they will dry up quickly, and like green vegetation they will wither. 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. 4 Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this: 6 He will cause your righteousness to shine like a light, your just cause like the noonday sun. 7 Surrender to the LORD and wait patiently for him. Do not be preoccupied with an evildoer who succeeds in his way when he carries out his schemes. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Do not fret, it leads only to evildoing. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land. 10 For yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more. Yes, though you look for his place, he isn’t there. 11 But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight in abundance of peace. 12 The wicked plotteth against the righteous, and gnasheth his teeth against him. 13 the Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming. 14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who walk uprightly. 15 But their sword will pierce their own heart, and their bows will be broken! 16 Better is a little that the righteous has, than the abundance of many wicked. 17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous. 18 The days of the upright are numbered by the Lord, and their heritage will be for ever. 19 In time of troubles they shall not be shamed, and in days of famine they shall be plentifully fed. 20 But the wicked shall perish. The enemies of Yahweh shall be like the beauty of the fields. They will vanish— vanish like smoke. 21 The wicked borrow, and do not pay back, but the righteous give generously. 22 For those blessed by God will inherit the land, but those cursed by him will be cut off. 23 The LORD ordereth a good man's going, and hath pleasure in his way. 24 Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for the LORD holds him up with his hand. 25 I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. 26 He is always generous and lends freely. His descendants are a blessing. 27 Depart from evil, and do good, and you will live in the land forever. 28 For the LORD loves justice and will not forsake his faithful ones. They are protected forever. But the children of the wicked will be cut off. 29 The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever. 30 The mouth of the righteous uttereth wisdom, and his tongue speaketh what is just. 31 The law of his God is in his heart; his steps do not slide. 32 The wicked looketh out for the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. 33 the LORD will not leave him in his hand or let him be condemned when he is judged. 34 Wait for the LORD, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. 35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading like a green tree in its native soil: 36 yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not; and I looked for him, but he could not be found. 37 Observe the blameless, and see the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace. 38 Sinners will be destroyed together; the future of the wicked will be cut off. 39 The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble. 40 the LORD helps them and delivers them. He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take put their trust in Him.

Psalms 38:1-150:6

1 A psalm of David. To bring to remembrance. O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or chastise me in your wrath. 2 For your arrows have sunk into me, and your hand has pressed down on me. 3 My body is unhealthy due to your anger, and my bones have no rest due to my sin. 4 My guilt has overwhelmed me. Like a heavy load, it is more than I can bear. 5 My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness. 6 I am bowed down; I am bent over greatly. All the day I go about mourning. 7 For my soul is filled with mockings; and there is no health in my flesh. 8 I give way and am utterly crushed. I roar out of the anguish of my heart. 9 O Lord, all my longing is before you, and my sighing is not hidden from you. 10 My heart pounds, my strength fails me, even the gleam in my eye is gone. 11 My friends and my companions stand aloof from my sore, and my kinsmen stand afar off. 12 Those who seek my life lay traps for me. Those who are out to harm me talk about ruining me. All day long they think of ways to deceive me. 13 I am like the deaf, who cannot hear, and like the mute, who cannot open his mouth. 14 So I have become like a man who is not hearing, In whose mouth there are no reproofs." 15 I wait with hope for you, O LORD. You will answer, O LORD, my God. 16 For I said, "Do not let them gloat over me, or exalt themselves over me when my foot slips." 17 For I am ready to fall, and my pain is always before me. 18 Yes, I confess my iniquity. I am anxious because of my sin. 19 But my enemies are vigorous and many. Those who hate me without reason are numerous. 20 They reward my good with evil, opposing me because I seek to do good. 21 O LORD, do not forsake me! O my God, do not be far from me; 22 Come quickly to help me, the LORD my salvation.

Psalms 39:1-150:6

1 For the music director. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David. I said, "I will guard my ways that I may not sin with my tongue. I will keep a muzzle over my mouth as long as the wicked are before me." 2 I was dumb and humbled and silent from good things; and my grief was renewed. 3 My heart was hot within me. While I meditated, the fire burned. I spoke with my tongue: 4 "Let me know, O LORD, my end, and what is the measure of my days. Let me know how transient I am." 5 Behold, you have made my days mere handbreadths. My lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely every man stands as a breath. Selah. 6 Surely every man walks in a shadow. Surely they are in an uproar in vain. He heaps up and does not know who will gather them. 7 And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in you. 8 Deliver me from all my transgressions. Do not make me the reproach of the foolish. 9 I remain silent; I do not open my mouth, for you are the one who acted 10 Remove your scourge away from me. I am overcome by the blow of your hand. 11 When you rebuke and correct man for iniquity, you consume his wealth like a moth. Surely every man is but a breath.” Selah. 12 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and listen to my cry for help; do not be deaf to my tears. For I am an alien with you, a sojourner like all my ancestors. 13 Look away from me that I may be cheerful, before I depart and I am no more.

Psalms 40:1-150:6

1 To the chief Musician. Of David. A Psalm. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see, respect and trust in the LORD. 4 Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust and does not turn to the proud, nor to those who turn aside to a lie. 5 O LORD my God, Many are the wonders that you have done and your thoughts toward us. None can compare with you. If I would declare and teach about them, they would be too numerous to report. 6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me. Whole burnt offering and sin offering you did not require. 7 Then I said, "Look, I have come. It is written about me in the scroll of a book; 8 I delight to do your will, O my God: yes, your law is within my heart. 9 I have proclaimed glad news of righteousness in the great assembly. Look, I will not seal my lips, LORD, you know. 10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart. I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation. I have not concealed Your grace and Your truth from the great assembly. 11 Do not withhold your compassion from me, O LORD. May your mercy and your truth always protect me. 12 For evils without number have encompassed me. My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails me. 13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me. 14 Let all those who seek to end my life be confused and put to shame. Let those who want my downfall be turned back and disgraced. 15 Let those who say to me: Aha! Aha! Be stunned by their shame. 16 Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. Let those who love your salvation continually say: the LORD is greatly magnified! 17 But I am poor and needy. Let my Lord consider me. You are my help and my deliverer. O my God, do not delay.

Psalms 41:1-150:6

1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Blessed is he who acts wisely toward the poor; the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. 2 The LORD will protect him and keep him alive; he will be blessed in the land; and he will not be handed over to the desires of his enemies. 3 The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness. 4 I said, "LORD, have mercy on me. Heal me, for I have sinned against you." 5 My enemies speak evil of me, saying, When will he die, and his name perish? 6 And when one comes to see me, he speaks falsely; his heart gathers disaster for itself. He goes out to the street; he speaks. 7 All who hate me whisper together against me. They imagine the worst for me. 8 An evil disease, they say, has afflicted him. Now that he lies he shall rise up no more. 9 Even my close friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me. 10 But you, LORD, have mercy on me, and raise me up, that I may repay them. 11 By this I know that you are pleased with me, because my enemy does not shout in triumph over me. 12 And I, in my integrity You uphold me; and You set me before Your face forever. 13 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.

Psalms 42:1-150:6

1 For the music director. A maskil of the sons of Korah. As a deer longs for streams of water, so my soul longs for you, O God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all day long: Where is your God? 4 These I remember and I pour out my soul within me: that I would go with the multitude; I led them in procession to the house of God, with a voice of rejoicing and thanksgiving, a crowd celebrating a festival. 5 Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God. For I will still praise him, my salvation and my God. 6 My God, my soul is in despair within me. Therefore I remember you from the land of the Jordan, the heights of Hermon, from the hill Mizar. 7 Deep calls to deep at the noise of your waterfalls. All your waves and your billows have swept over me. 8 By day the LORD commands his loyal love, and in the night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life. 9 I say to God, my rock, "Why have you forgotten me? Why must I walk about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?" 10 Like the shattering of my bones are the taunts of my oppressors, saying to me all day long, "Where is your God?" 11 Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God. For I shall still praise him, my salvation and my God.

Psalms 43:1-150:6

1 Vindicate me, God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation. Oh, deliver me from deceitful and wicked men. 2 You are the God of my strength. Why have you rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? 3 Send forth your light and your truth so they may guide me. Let them bring me to your holy mountain and to your dwelling places. 4 Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy and I will praise you upon the harp, O God, my God. 5 Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God. For I shall still praise him, my salvation and my God.

Psalms 44:1-150:6

1 [To the Chief Musician for the Sons of Korah, a maschil.] We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work you did in their days, in the times of old. 2 You with your hand drove out the nations, but them you planted. You harmed the peoples, but them you let spread out. 3 For not with their sword did they possess the land, and their arm did not give them victory. Rather it was your right hand and your arm and the light of your presence, because you delighted in them. 4 You are my King, my God, who commands victories for Jacob. 5 Through you we push down our tribulators; through your name we trample them who rise against us. 6 For I do not trust my bow, and my sword cannot give me victory. 7 You saved us from our adversaries. You put to shame those who hate us. 8 In God will we boast all the day, and we will praise thy name for ever. Selah. 9 Yet you have rejected and disgraced us. You do not even go along with our armies. 10 You make us retreat from the enemy. Those who hate us rob us at will. 11 You give us over to be butchered like sheep and scatter us among the nations. 12 You sell your people for nothing, and have gained nothing from their sale. 13 Thou hast made us a reproach to our neighbours; a scoff and derision to those around us. 14 You made our defeat a proverb among the nations so that people shake their heads at us. 15 My shame is always before me, and the shame of my face has covered me: 16 at the taunt of one who reproaches and verbally abuses, because of the enemy and the avenger. 17 All this has befallen us, though we have not forgotten you, and we have not been false to your covenant. 18 Our hearts have not turned away; our steps have not swerved from your path. 19 Nevertheless, you crushed us in the lair of jackals, and covered us in deep darkness. 20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, or spread out our hands to a strange god, 21 would not God discover this, for he knows the secrets of the heart? 22 Yes, for your sake we are killed all day long. We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter. 23 Wake up. Why do you sleep, Lord? Arise. Do not reject us forever. 24 Why do you hide your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression? 25 We are bowing in the dust. Our bodies cling to the ground. 26 Rise up, O lord, help us and ransom us because of your name!

Psalms 45:1-150:6

1 My heart overflows with a noble theme. I recite my verses for the king. My tongue is like the pen of a skillful writer. 2 You are the most excellent of the sons of men. Grace has anointed your lips, therefore God has blessed you forever. 3 Gird your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, in your splendor and your majesty. 4 In your majesty ride on victoriously on behalf of truth, humility, and righteousness. Let your right hand display awesome deeds. 5 your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under you. 6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. 7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you from among your companions with festive oil. 8 All your robes are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia. From palaces of ivory stringed instruments gladden you. 9 Kings' daughters are among your honorable women. At your right hand the queen stands in gold of Ophir. 10 Listen, daughter! Consider and pay attention. Forget your people and your father's house, 11 So the king will desire your beauty, honor him, for he is your lord. 12 The daughter of Tyre will come with a gift. The rich among the people will seek your favor. 13 All glorious is the king`s daughter within; her clothing is of wrought gold: 14 In embroidered garments she is presented to the king. Her virgin companions who follow her train will be presented to you. 15 They are led with joy and gladness. They enter the palace of the king. 16 Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you shall make them princes in all the land. 17 I will cause your name to be remembered in all generations; therefore peoples will praise you forever and ever.

Psalms 46:1-150:6

1 For the Chief Musician. By the sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea. 3 though its waters roar and foam, though mountains shake with its surging water. Selah 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High. 5 God is within her. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn. 6 Nations roar, kingdoms shake; he utters his voice, the earth melts. 7 the LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. 8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he has made in the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire. 10 "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth." 11 the LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

Psalms 47:1-150:6

1 To the Director: A song by the Sons of Korah. Clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with a loud cry of joy! 2 (47:3) For the LORD is most high, awful; a great King over all the earth. 3 He subdues nations under us, and peoples under our feet. 4 He chooses our inheritance for us, the glory of Jacob whom he loved. Selah. 5 God is gone up amid shouting, the LORD amid the sound of the trumpet. 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises to our King, sing praises. 7 For God is the king of all the earth; sing a psalm for edification. 8 God is king over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne. 9 The nobles among the nations have joined the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; he is greatly exalted.

Psalms 48:1-150:6

1 Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, in the city of our God, in his holy mountain 2 Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the north sides, the city of the great King. 3 God is in her citadels; he is known as a high stronghold. 4 For see, the kings assembled; they advanced together. 5 (48:4)For lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together. 6 Trembling seized them there, pains like those of a woman in labor, 7 You break the ships of Tarshish with an east wind; 8 As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the LORD Almighty, in the city of our God. God will establish her forever. Selah 9 We compare your mercy, O Elohim, midst your manse: 10 Like (according to) your name, O God, your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with righteousness. 11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of your judgments. 12 Walk around Zion. Go around it. Count its towers. 13 Consider well her ramparts. Go through her citadels so that you can tell the next generation 14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even to death.

Psalms 49:1-150:6

1 {To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.} Hear this, all ye peoples; give ear, all inhabitants of the world: 2 both low and high, rich and poor together. 3 My mouth will speak words of wisdom. My heart will utter understanding. 4 I will focus my attention on a proverb; I will use the harp to expound my riddle. 5 Why should I fear in the days of evil, when iniquity at my heels surrounds me? 6 those who put confidence in their wealth and boast about their great riches? 7 A man cannot at all redeem a brother, nor give to God a ransom for him, 8 For the redemption of their life is costly, no payment is ever enough, 9 That he should still live forever, and not see corruption. 10 For he shall see it. Wise men die. The fool and the brutish alike perish, and leave their wealth to others. 11 Their tombs are their homes forever, and their dwelling places to all generations. They name their lands after themselves. 12 But man, despite his riches, doesn’t endure. He is like the animals that perish. 13 This is the destiny of those who are foolish, and of those who approve their sayings. Selah. 14 Like sheep, they are laid in the grave. Death will shepherd them. The upright will rule them in the morning. Their forms will decay in the grave, far away from their comfortable homes. 15 But God will redeem my soul from the hand of Sheol; for He will take me. Selah. 16 Do not be afraid when one becomes rich, when the glory of his house increases; 17 For he shall take nothing when he dies; neither shall his glory descend with him. 18 Though while he lived he blessed his soul-- and men praise you when you do well for yourself-- 19 he will go to the generation of his fathers. They will never see the light. 20 A man who has riches without understanding, is like the animals that perish.

Psalms 50:1-150:6

1 The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks, and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. 2 From Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth. 3 Our God comes, and does not keep silent. A fire devours before him. It is very stormy around him. 4 He summons the heavens above and the earth that he might judge his people: 5 "Gather to me my loyal ones, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice." 6 And the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is judge. Selah. 7 "Hear, O my people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you. I am God, your God. 8 I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices. Your burnt offerings are continually before me. 9 I have no need for a bull from your stall, nor male goats from your pens. 10 For every animal of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. 11 I know every bird of the mountains, and every moving creature in the field is mine. 12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it. 13 Do I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? 14 Offer thanksgiving to God; and pay your vows to the Most High. 15 Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me." 16 But to the wicked God says, "What right have you to recite my statutes and mention my covenant with your mouth, 17 You hate instruction and toss my words behind you. 18 If you saw a thief, you ran along with him, and have cast in your lot with adulterers. 19 you spread your mouth to evil and contrive your tongue to deceit: 20 You sit; you speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son. 21 These things you have done, and I have kept silence; you thought that I was like yourself, but I will rebuke you, and set in order before your eyes. 22 "Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you into pieces, and there be none to deliver. 23 He who sacrifices a thank offering honors me, and he who orders his way; I will show him the salvation of God."

Psalms 51:1-150:6

1 To the Director: A Davidic Psalm. When the prophet Nathan came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.. Have mercy, God, according to your gracious love, according to your unlimited compassion, erase my transgressions. 2 Wash me from my iniquity, cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I know my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me. 4 Against you, and you only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in your sight; that you may be proved right when you speak, and justified when you judge. 5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity. In sin my mother conceived me. 6 Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. You teach me wisdom in the inmost place. 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. 8 Make me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. 9 Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me from your presence; do not take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and with a willing spirit sustain me. 13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you. 14 Rescue me from blood guilt, O God, the God of my deliverance! My tongue shall exult over your righteousness. 15 Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. 16 For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. 18 Do good in your good pleasure to Zion: build you the walls of Jerusalem. 19 Then you will delight in righteous sacrifices, burnt offering and whole burnt offering. Then bulls will be offered on your altar.

Psalms 52:1-150:6

1 For the music director. A maskil of David. When Doeg the Edomite came and informed Saul. And he said to him, "David has come to the house of Ahimelech." Why do you boast about evil, O mighty man? The loyal love of God endures ⌊continually⌋. 2 Your tongue devises woes, Like a honed razor, you who practice deceit." 3 You love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking the truth. Selah. 4 You love all pernicious words, O you deceitful tongue." 5 but God will pull you down forever. He will snatch you and tear you away from your tent, and he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah 6 And the righteous will see and fear, and will laugh at him, saying, 7 Behold, the man who did not make God his strength; but he trusted in his many riches; he was strong in his destruction. 8 But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God. I trust the loyal love of God forever and ever. 9 I will give you thanks forever, because you have done it. I will hope in your name, for it is good, in the presence of your saints.

Psalms 53:1-150:6

1 For the music director, according to Mahalath. A maskil of David. The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt and they have done abominable iniquity. There is none who does good. 2 God looked down from heaven upon the sons of men, to see if there were any who understood, who seek after God. 3 Every one of them is gone back, they are together become corrupt: there is none that doeth good, not even one. 4 Have evildoers no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on God? 5 There the Israelites were seized with terror, when there was nothing to fear. For God scattered the bones of those who laid siege against you you put them to shame, for God rejected them. 6 (53:7) Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God turneth the captivity of His people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.

Psalms 54:1-150:6

1 Save me, God, by your name. Vindicate me in your might. 2 Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth. 3 For foreigners have risen against me, and ruthless men seek my life. They have not set God before them. Selah 4 Behold, God is my helper, the Lord is the one who sustains my soul. 5 He will repay my enemies for their evil; in your faithfulness destroy them. 6 I will freely sacrifice to you: I will praise your name, O LORD; for it is good. 7 for he has delivered me from every trouble, and my eyes have seen the end of my enemies.

Psalms 55:1-150:6

1 For the music director, with stringed instruments. A maskil of David. Give ear, O God, to my prayer, and do not hide yourself from my plea. 2 Pay attention to me, and answer me. My thoughts are restless. I am confused and distracted. 3 from the voice of the enemy, from the oppression of the wicked. Because they shake down iniquity upon me and they persecute me in anger. 4 My heart is in turmoil within me. The terrors of death have seized me. 5 Fear and trembling have overcome me. Horror has overwhelmed me. 6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away, and be at rest; 7 I would run far away. I would stay in the desert. 8 "I would hurry to a shelter from the stormy wind and storm." 9 Confuse them, Lord, and confound their language, for I have seen violence and strife in the city. 10 Day and night they prowl around on its walls, malice and abuse are also within her. 11 Destructive forces are within her, threats and lies don't depart from her streets. 12 If an enemy had insulted me, then I could tolerate it. If someone who hated me had attacked me, then I could hide from him. 13 But it was you, a man like me, my companion, and my familiar friend. 14 We who together made sweet deliberation, We walked with the foregathering crowd in the House of Elohim." 15 Let death seize upon them, and let them go down alive into the grave: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them. 16 But I call on God, and the LORD saves me. 17 Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice. 18 He redeems my soul in peace from the war being waged against me for they were many with me. 19 God, who is enthroned forever, will hear, and answer them. Selah. They never change, those who don't fear God. 20 He raises his hands against his friends, he has violated his covenant. 21 His mouth was smooth as butter, but his heart was war. His words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords. 22 Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. 23 But you, O God, will bring them down into the pit of destruction. Bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days, but I will trust in you.

Psalms 56:1-150:6

1 Be merciful to me, God, for man wants to swallow me up. All day long, he attacks and oppresses me. 2 My enemies trample all day, because many are attacking me proudly. 3 When I am afraid I will trust in You. 4 In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? 5 All day long they twist my words. All their thoughts are against me for evil. 6 They conspire and lurk, watching my steps. They are eager to take my life. 7 By iniquity they escape, In anger the peoples put down, O God. 8 You scribe my wanderings - set my tears into your skin; are they not in your scroll? 9 Then my enemies will turn back when I call. This I know because God is for me. 10 In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise, 11 In God I put my trust, I will not be afraid! What can man do to me? 12 Your vows are on me, God. I will give thank offerings to you. 13 For you have delivered me from death, and my feet from stumbling, So that I may walk before God in the light of the living.

Psalms 57:1-150:6

1 Be merciful to me, God, be merciful to me, for my soul takes refuge in you. Yes, in the shadow of your wings, I will take refuge, until disaster has passed. 2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who accomplishes my requests for me. 3 He will send from heaven and save me; he will reproach the one who tramples me. Selah God will send his loyal love and his faithfulness. 4 My soul is among lions; I lie among those on fire, the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword. 5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be above all the earth. 6 They have laid a net for my feet, and pressed down my soul: they have digged a pit before me, and are fallen into it themselves. Selah. 7 My heart is steadfast, O God; My heart is steadfast. I will sing and give praise. 8 Awake, my glory; Awake, harp and lyre. I will awake the dawn. 9 I will praise you, O Lord, among the people: I will sing to you among the nations. 10 For Your benignity is great unto the heavens, And Your faithfulness unto the skies." 11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens. Let your glory be over all the earth.

Psalms 58:1-150:6

1 Do you indeed speak righteousness, silent ones? Do you judge blamelessly, you sons of men? 2 No, in your heart you plan injustices; in the land you weigh out the violence of your hands. 3 The wicked go astray from the womb; they err as soon as they are born, speaking lies. 4 Their venom is like the venom of a serpent, Like a deaf cobra that has contracted its ear, 5 It does not listen to the voice of charmers, no matter how skillful the charmer may be. 6 God broke their teeth in their mouths; the lord fractured in pieces the molars of the lions. 7 Let them vanish like water that flows away. When they draw the bow, let their arrows be made blunt. 8 Like a slug melting away as it goes along; Like the stillborn of a woman, they will fail to perceive the sun." 9 Before your pots can feel the heat of a thornbush, whether green or dry, he will sweep it away. 10 The righteous shall rejoice when he sees vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. 11 A person will say, "Certainly, the righteous are rewarded; certainly there is a God who judges the earth."

Psalms 59:1-150:6

1 For the music director, according to Do Not Destroy. Of David. A miktam. When Saul dispatched men and they watched the house to kill him. Deliver me from my enemies, O my God. Protect me from those who rise up against me. 2 Deliver me from evildoers. Save me from the bloodthirsty men. 3 For lo, they lie in wait for my soul, mighty ones gather against me; not for my transgression, and not my sin, O LORD. 4 I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Rise up, look, and help me. 5 You, LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish the nations. Show no mercy to the wicked traitors. Selah. 6 They return at evening, howling like dogs, and prowl around the city. 7 See what pours out of their mouths, swords from their lips! They think: Who will hear us? 8 But you, LORD, laugh at them. You scoff at all the nations. 9 My Strength, I will watch for you, for God is my fortress. 10 My God of loving-kindness will come to meet me. He will let me gloat over those who spy on me. 11 Don't kill them! Otherwise, my people may forget. By your power make them stumble around; bring them down low, Lord, our Shield. 12 For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride, for the curses and lies which they utter. 13 Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they be no more: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob, unto the ends of the earth. [Selah 14 They return at evening; they howl like dogs while they prowl the city. 15 they wander to eat and murmer if they are not satisfied. 16 But I will sing to Your strength, and in the morning will I rejoice in Your mercy; for You have been my supporter, and my refuge in the day of my affliction. 17 My Strength, I will sing praises to you, for you, God of Gracious Love, are my fortress.

Psalms 60:1-150:6

1 For the Chief Musician. To the tune of The Lily of the Covenant. A teaching poem by David, when he fought with Aram Naharaim and with Aram Zobah, and Joab returned, and killed twelve thousand of Edom in the Valley of Salt. God, You have rejected us. You have broken us down, You have been angry. Restore us again. 2 You have made the land tremble. You have torn it. Mend its fractures, for it quakes. 3 You have shown your people hard things; You have given us wine that staggers. 4 You have rallied those who fear you round a banner out of bowshot, Selah 5 Save with Your right hand and answer me, that Your beloved may be delivered. 6 God has spoken from his sanctuary: "I will triumph. I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth. 7 Gilead belongs to me, and Manasseh is mine. Ephraim is my helmet, and Judah my scepter. 8 Moab is My washbasin; Unto Edom shall I fling My sandal; Over Philistia shall I shout in triumph. 9 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? 10 Is it not you O God, who rejected us? You do not go out with our armies, do you God? 11 Give us help against the adversary, for the help of man is vain. 12 In God we will do strength and he will tread down our adversaries.

Psalms 61:1-150:6

1 To the chief musician. On stringed instruments. Of David. Hear my cry, O God, and listen to my prayer. 2 From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart faints; Oh lead me to the Rock that is higher than I. 3 For you have been my refuge, a strong tower from the enemy. 4 I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah. 5 For you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. 6 You will add to the days of the king's life; his years will be for many generations. 7 May he live forever in the presence of God. Appoint loyal love and faithfulness to preserve him. 8 So I will always sing praises to your name, as I perform my vows day after day.

Psalms 62:1-150:6

1 For the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm by David. My soul rests in God alone. My salvation is from him. 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress-- I will never be greatly shaken. 3 How long will you assault a man? Would all of you throw him down, like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence? 4 They fully intend to throw him down from his lofty place. They delight in lies. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. 5 My soul, rest thou only in God, for my hope is from him. 6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken. 7 My salvation and my glory depend on God. God is the rock of my strength, my refuge. 8 ¶ Wait in him at all times; ye peoples, pour out your heart before him; God is our refuge. Selah. 9 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: if laid on the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity. 10 Do not trust in oppression. Do not become vain in robbery. If riches increase, do not set your heart on them. 11 (62:12) God hath spoken once, these two things have I heard, that power belongeth to God, 12 Also to you, Lord, belongs gracious love, because you reward each person according to what he does.

Psalms 63:1-150:6

1 A Psalm by David, when he was in the desert of Judah. God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water. 2 So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory. 3 Because your loyal love is better than life, my lips will praise you. 4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: and in thy name I will lift up my hands. 5 My soul will be satisfied as with the best and richest food, and with joyful lips my mouth will praise. 6 when I remember you on my bed I meditate on you in the watches: 7 Because you have been my help, I will have joy in the shade of your wings. 8 My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. 9 But as for those seek to destroy me, they will go down to the depths of the earth; 10 They will be cut off by the sword; they will be food for foxes. 11 But the king shall rejoice in God. Everyone who swears by him will praise him, for the mouth of those who speak lies shall be silenced.

Psalms 64:1-150:6

1 {To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Hear, O God, my voice in my plaint; preserve my life from fear of the enemy: 2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the noisy crowd of the ones doing evil; 3 who sharpen their tongues like swords, and aim their bitter words like arrows, 4 to shoot in secret at the blameless; they will shoot him suddenly, and will not fear. 5 They encourage themselves in evil plans. They talk about laying snares secretly. They say, "Who will see them?" 6 They plot injustice, saying, We have made a perfect plan! Surely man's mind and heart are cunning. 7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded. 8 Their own tongues shall ruin them; all who see them will shake their heads. 9 All mankind shall be afraid. They shall declare the work of God, and shall wisely ponder what he has done. 10 Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord and trust in him: and let all the upright in heart be praised.

Psalms 65:1-150:6

1 For the music director. A psalm of David. A song. Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion, and to you the vow shall be fulfilled. 2 You who hear prayer, to you all men will come. 3 Sins overwhelmed me, but you atoned for our transgressions. 4 Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, that he may dwell in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, your holy temple. 5 By awesome deeds you answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation. You are trusted to the ends of the earth and the farthest sea. 6 Who by his power forms the mountains, having armed yourself with strength; 7 who stills the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations. 8 They also who dwell in faraway places are afraid at your wonders. You call the morning's dawn and the evening with songs of joy. 9 You care for the land and water it; you greatly enrich it. The stream of God is filled with waters. You provide their grain, for so you have established it. 10 You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless it with a crop. 11 You crown the year with your bounty. Your carts overflow with abundance. 12 The wilderness grasslands overflow, the hills are clothed with gladness. 13 The meadows are clothed with flocks and the valleys are covered with grain. They shout for joy, yes, they sing.

Psalms 66:1-150:6

1 For the music director. A song. A psalm. Shout joyfully to God, all the earth. 2 Sing forth the glory of his name, make his praise glorious; 3 Say to God: "How awesome are your works! Because of your great strength your enemies cringe before you." 4 All the earth do bow to Thee, They sing praise to Thee, they praise Thy name.' Selah. 5 Come, and see the works of God, awesome in actions toward the sons of men. 6 He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot; there let us rejoice in Him! 7 He rules by his might forever. His eyes watch the nations. Don't let the rebellious rise up against him. Selah. 8 Praise our God, you peoples! Make the sound of his praise heard, 9 He gives us life and does not permit our feet to slip. 10 For you, God, tested us, to purify us like fine silver. 11 You brought us into prison. You laid a burden on our backs. 12 You allowed men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water, but you brought us to the place of abundance. 13 I will come to your house with burnt offerings. I will fulfill my vows to you 14 which my lips promised, and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress. 15 I will offer burnt sacrifices of fatlings to You, with the incense of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah. 16 Come and listen, all of you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me. 17 I cried to Him with my mouth, and exalted Him with my tongue. 18 If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened. 19 But God hath heard me; and considered the voice of my prayer. 20 Thanks be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or taken away his loving kindness from me.

Psalms 67:1-150:6

1 For the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm. A song. May God be merciful to us, bless us, and cause his face to shine on us. Selah. 2 that your way may be known upon earth, your salvation among all nations. 3 Let the peoples praise you, O God. Let all the peoples praise you! 4 Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, because you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations on the earth. Selah 5 Let the peoples praise you, O God. Let all the peoples praise you! 6 The earth will yield her increase; God, our God, will bless us: 7 God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him.

Psalms 68:1-150:6

1 {To the chief Musician. Of David. A Psalm: a Song.} Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, and let them that hate him flee before him. 2 As smoke is driven away, You drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, let the wicked perish in the presence of God. 3 But the righteous shall be glad and rejoice before God, they shall be merry and joyful. 4 Sing to God, sing praises to his name: extol him who rides upon the heavens by his name, the LORD, and rejoice before him. 5 A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. 6 God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land. 7 God, when you went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness... Selah. 8 The earth shook, and the heavens dropped before God, this Sinai before God, the God of Israel. 9 You caused abundant rain to fall, O God. When your inheritance was weary you revived it. 10 Your creatures dwell in it; You have in Your goodness prepared for the poor. 11 The Lord gave the word. Great was the company of those who proclaimed it. 12 Kings of armies fled away; and she who stayed at home divided the plunder. 13 while you sleep among the campfires, the wings of a dove sheathed with silver, her feathers with shining gold. 14 When the Almighty scattered the kings there, there was snow on Mt. Zalmon. 15 The mountains of Bashan are majestic mountains, the mountains of Bashan are rugged. 16 Why do you look in envy, you rugged mountains, at the mountain where God chooses to reign? Yes, the LORD will dwell there forever. 17 The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. The Lord is among them, from Sinai, into the sanctuary. 18 You have ascended on high, you have led captivity captive: you have received gifts for men; yes, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them. 19 Praise be to the Lord, who is our support day by day, even the God of our salvation. Selah. 20 Our God is a God of deliverances, and to the the Sovereign LORD belong escapes from death. 21 Yea, God will crush the head of His enemies, the hairy crown of him who walks on in his guilt. 22 The Lord said, "I will bring them back from Bashan; I will bring them back from the depths of the sea, 23 so that you strike your foot in the blood of your enemies, and the tongue of your dogs in the same. 24 They have seen your processions, God, even the processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary. 25 In front are the singers, Behind are the harpers, In the midst of damsels playing on timbrels: 26 "Bless God in the congregations, even the Lord in the assembly of Israel." 27 There is little Benjamin ruling them, with the princes of Judah in their throng, the princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali. 28 Summon the power of your God, the power, God, that you have shown us. 29 Because of your temple at Jerusalem kings will bring gifts to you. 30 Rebuke the beasts in the reeds, the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples, trampling the pieces of silver. Scatter the nations who delight in battles. 31 Envoys will come from Egypt. Let the Ethiopians stretch out their hands to God. 32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth! Sing praises to the Lord! Selah. 33 to the one who rides the heavens, the ancient heavens. Behold! He thunders with a mighty voice. 34 Ascribe power to God, whose glory is over Israel, whose power is in the skies. 35 You are awesome, God, in your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God!

Psalms 69:1-150:6

1 Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck. 2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. 3 I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail looking for my God. 4 Those who hate me without cause are more than the hairs of my head. My persecutors are mighty, and they want to destroy me. Must I be forced to return what I did not steal? 5 God, you know my sins, and my guilt is not hidden from you. 6 Let those who wait for you not be put to shame because of me, O Sovereign LORD Almighty. Let those who seek you not be disgraced because of me, O God of Israel. 7 For I have suffered reproach for Your sake; shame has covered my face. 8 I am a stranger to my brothers, a foreigner to my mother's sons. 9 Zeal for your house consumes me, and the mockeries of those who insult you fall on me. 10 I weep and fast, and I am mocked for it. 11 When I put on the clothing of grief, they said evil of me. 12 Those who sit at the gate talk of me and I am the song of the drunkards. 13 But as for me, my prayer is to You, O LORD, at a time of favor, O God! in the plentitude of Your mercy answer me, in the truth of Your salvation. 14 Rescue me from the mud and do not let me sink. Rescue me from those who hate me, and from the deep waters. 15 Do not let the torrent of waters flood over me, or the deep swallow me, or the pit close its mouth over me. 16 Answer me, O LORD, because your loyal love is good; according to your abundant mercies, turn to me, 17 Do not hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily. 18 Draw near and redeem me; ransom me because of my enemies. 19 You know my reproach and my shame, and my dishonor; my enemies are all before You. 20 Reproach hath broken my heart, and I am overwhelmed: and I looked for sympathy, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. 21 They gave me also gall for my food, and made me drink vinegar for my thirst. 22 Let their table before them become a snare, may it become a retribution and a trap. 23 Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see. Let their backs be continually bent. 24 Pour out Your wrath on them; and let the glow of Your anger overtake them. 25 Let their palace be desolate, and let no one dwell in their tents. 26 For they persecute those whom you have struck, and they brag about the pain of those you have wounded. 27 Charge them with crime upon crime. Do not let them come into your righteousness. 28 Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous. 29 But I am in pain and distress. Let your salvation, God, protect me. 30 I will praise the name of God in song, and magnify him with thanksgiving. 31 That will please the LORD more than oxen and bulls with horns and hooves. 32 The humble have seen and are glad; you who seek God, your heart shall live. 33 For the LORD hears the needy and does not despise his captive people. 34 Let heavens and earth praise him, the seas and all that moves in them, 35 For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah. They shall settle there, and own it. 36 The seed also of his servants will inherit it and those who love his name will dwell in it.

Psalms 70:1-150:6

1 Hurry, God, to deliver me. Come quickly to help me, LORD. 2 Let those who seek my life be confused and put to shame. Let those who want my downfall be turned back and disgraced. 3 Let those who say: "Aha! Aha!" Be turned back because of their own shame. 4 Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. Let those who love your salvation continually say, "Let God be exalted." 5 But I am poor and needy. Make haste to me, O God. You are my help and my deliverer, O LORD. Do not delay.

Psalms 71:1-150:6

1 In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. 2 Rescue and deliver me, because you are righteous. Turn your ear to me and save me. 3 Be to me a rock of refuge to which I may always go. Give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. 4 Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. 5 For You are my hope, Sovereign LORD; my confidence from my youth. 6 I have relied on you from the womb. You are he who took me out of my mother's womb. I will always praise you. 7 I have become like a portent to many, Yet You are my strong Refuge." 8 My mouth is filled with your praise and your splendor daily. 9 Don't throw me away when I am old; do not abandon me when my strength fails. 10 For my enemies talk against me; those who seek to kill me plot together 11 saying, "God has forsaken him. Pursue and take him, for no one will rescue him." 12 Go not far from me, O God; my God, haste thee to help me. 13 Let my adversaries be ashamed and consumed; let those who seek my destruction be covered with scorn and disgrace. 14 But I will always have hope. I will praise you more and more. 15 My mouth will tell about your righteousness, and of your salvation all day, though I don’t know its full measure. 16 I will come in to tell the mighty deeds of Sovereign LORD. I will make known your righteousness, yours only. 17 O God, you have taught me from my youth: and to this day have I declared your wondrous works. 18 And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare your strength to this generation, your power to all who are to come. 19 Your righteousness also, O God, is very high, you who have done great things. O God, who is like you? 20 You who have caused me to see many troubles and evils, you will again revive me. And from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. 21 You will increase my honor and comfort me once again. 22 I will praise You with the harp for Your faithfulness, my God. I sing praise to You with the lyre, Holy One of Israel. 23 My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you, whose life you have redeemed. 24 My tongue will also talk about your righteousness all day long. They who want to harm me are disappointed and confounded.

Psalms 72:1-150:6

1 By Solomon. God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son. 2 He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. 3 The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness. 4 May he defend the afflicted of the people and deliver the children of the poor, but crush the oppressor. 5 and continue, as long as the sun and moon, through all generations. 6 May he descend like rain on mown grass, like showers watering the earth. 7 In His days the righteous shall flourish, and plenty of peace, till the moon is not. 8 He shall also rule from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. 9 The dwellers in the desert shall bow before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust. 10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles will bring tribute (presents). The kings of Sheba and Seba will offer gifts. 11 Yes, all kings will bow down before him. All nations will serve him. 12 For he will deliver the needy who crieth, and the afflicted, who hath no helper; 13 He will have pity on the poor and needy, he will save the needy persons. 14 He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his sight: 15 And he shall live, and the gold of Sheba shall be given to him. Men shall pray for him continually. He shall bless him all day long. 16 Abundance of grain shall be throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field. 17 His name endures forever, his name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed in him, all nations will call him blessed. 18 Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. 19 Blessed be to his glorious name forever. May the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen! 20 This ends the prayers by David, the son of Jesse.

Psalms 73:1-150:6

1 A Psalm by Asaph. Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. 2 But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled. My steps had nearly slipped, 3 For I was envious of the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 For they have no pain; their bodies are fat and strong. 5 They are free from the burdens of men, neither are they plagued like other men. 6 Therefore pride is their necklace and violence covers them like a garment. 7 Their eyes bulge with fat, their minds pass the limits of conceit. 8 They scoff and speak with malice; in arrogance, they threaten oppression. 9 They set their mouth against heaven; and their tongue passed on over the earth. 10 Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance. 11 Then they say, "How can God know? Does the Most High have knowledge?" 12 Look, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches. 13 Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure, and washed my hands in innocence. 14 For all day long I have been plagued, and punished every morning. 15 If I had said, "I will speak thus;" look, I would have betrayed the generation of your children. 16 When I tried to understand this, it was too painful for me, 17 until I entered the sanctuaries of God. Then I understood their destiny. 18 Surely You set them in slippery places; You cast them down into ruin. 19 How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors. 20 As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies. 21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins. 22 I was so senseless and ignorant. I was a brute beast before you. 23 But I am always with You; You have held me by my right hand. 24 You shall guide me by Your counsel; and afterward You will take me to glory. 25 Whom have I in heaven but you? and there is none on earth that I desire beside you. 26 My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. 27 Those who are far from you will perish. You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to you. 28 But it is good for me to come close to God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works.

Psalms 74:1-150:6

1 A maskil of Asaph. Why, O God, have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smoke against the sheep of your pasture? 2 Remember your congregation, which you have purchased of old; the tribe of your inheritance, which you have redeemed; this mount Zion, where you have dwelt. 3 Lift your steps to the perpetual ruins, to all that the enemy has ruined in the sanctuary. 4 Your enemies roar in the midst of your congregations; they set up their banners for signs. 5 They behaved like men wielding axes, cutting through a thicket of trees. 6 They strike down all its carved work with hatchet and hammers. 7 They have burned your sanctuary to the ground. They have profaned the dwelling place of your Name. 8 They said in their hearts: "We will destroy them completely. They burned up all the synagogues of God in the land." 9 We see no miraculous signs. There is no longer any prophet. There is no one who knows how long. 10 How long, O God, shall the enemy reproach? Shall the enemy provoke Your name forever? 11 Why do you draw back your hand, even your right hand? Take it out of your pocket and consume them. 12 Yet God is my King of old, working salvation throughout the earth. 13 You split open the sea by your strength; You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters. 14 you crushed the heads of leviathan and gave him for food to the people - the desertdwellers: 15 You opened up spring and stream. You dried up mighty rivers. 16 Yours is the day, and yours is the night; you established the moon and the sun. 17 You set all the boundaries of the earth; you made summer and winter. 18 Remember this, that the enemy has mocked you, LORD. Foolish people have blasphemed your name. 19 Do not deliver the soul of your dove to wild beasts. Do not forget the life of your poor forever. 20 Look to Your covenant, For haunts of violence fill the dark places of the land." 21 Do not let the oppressed return ashamed. Let the poor and needy praise your name. 22 Arise, God! Plead your own cause. Remember how the foolish man mocks you all day. 23 Do not forget the sound of your adversaries, the roar of those rising up against you ascending continually.

Psalms 75:1-150:6

1 We give thanks to you, God. We give thanks, for your Name is near. Men tell about your wondrous works. 2 When I take the appointed time, I will judge uprightly. 3 When the earth and all its people become feeble, I am the support of its pillars. Selah. 4 I said to the arrogant, "Do not boast." I said to the wicked, "Do not lift up the horn. 5 Do not lift up your horn on high; do not speak with a stiff neck. 6 For not from the east, or from the west, Nor from the wilderness— is elevation. 7 God is the Judge; He brings down one and exalts another. 8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours it out. Indeed the wicked of the earth drink and drink it to its very dregs. 9 But I will declare this forever: I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. 10 I will cut off all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.

Psalms 76:1-150:6

1 For the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm by Asaph. A song. In Judah, God is known. His name is great in Israel. 2 His abode is in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion. 3 There He broke the flaming arrows, the shield and the sword and the weapons of war. 4 You are enveloped by light; more majestic than mountains filled with game. 5 Valiant men lie plundered, they have slept their last sleep. None of the men of war can lift their hands. 6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse slumber. 7 You, indeed, are to be feared, and who can stand before you when you are angry? 8 From heaven you proclaimed judgment. The earth feared and was still 9 when God rose for justice, to save all the afflicted of the land. Selah 10 Surely the wrath of man praises you. The survivors of your wrath are restrained. 11 Make vows to the LORD your God, and fulfill them. Let all of his neighbors bring presents to him who is to be feared. 12 He humbles the spirit of princes. He is feared by the kings of the earth.

Psalms 77:1-150:6

1 To the director: To Jeduthun. A psalm of Asaph.. I cry out to God! I cry out to God and he hears me. 2 In the day of my trouble, I sought the Lord: my hand was stretched out in the night, and slacked not; my soul refused to be comforted. 3 I remember God and I murmur, I muse, and my spirit swooneth. [Selah.] 4 You hold my eyes from closing: I am so troubled that I cannot speak. 5 I thought upon the days of old, the years of bygone ages. 6 I remember my song in the night,—With my own heart, I commune, And my spirit, maketh search:— 7 Will the Lord reject me forever and not show favor again? 8 Has his loving kindness vanished forever? Does his promise fail for generations? 9 Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he, in anger, withheld his compassion?" Selah. 10 Then I thought: I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High. 11 I will remember the deeds of Yah. Surely I will remember your wonders from long ago. 12 I will also meditate on all your work and consider your activities. 13 Your way, O God, is holy: what god is so great as our God? 14 You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples. 15 With your arm you redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph. Selah 16 The waters saw you, God. The waters saw you, and they writhed. The depths also convulsed. 17 The clouds poured out water. The skies resounded with thunder. Your arrows also flashed around. 18 The voice of Your thunder was in the whirlwind, the lightnings lit up the world, the earth trembled and shook. 19 Your way was through the sea; your paths through the great waters. Your footsteps were not known. 20 You led your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Psalms 78:1-150:6

1 A maskil of Asaph. Listen, O my people, to my teaching. Incline your ears to the words of my mouth. 2 I will open my mouth in parables. I will utter dark sayings of old, 3 That we have heard and known and our fathers have told us. 4 We will not hide them from their children, telling the next generation the praises of the LORD, and his power and his wonders that he has done. 5 He established a decree in Jacob, and established the Law in Israel, that he commanded our ancestors to reveal to their children 6 so that the next generation might know— children yet to be born— that they might rise up and tell their children, 7 that they might set their hope in God, and not forget God's deeds, but keep his commandments, 8 They should not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not prepare its heart and whose spirit was not faithful to God. 9 The sons of Ephraim, armed with archers, turned back on the day of battle. 10 They did not keep God's covenant, and refused to live by his Law. 11 They forgot what he had done, and the wonderful works that he had showed for them. 12 He did marvelous things in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan. 13 He divided the sea, and led them through; He made the waters to stand as in a bottle. 14 He led them with the cloud by day and with a light of fire by night. 15 He split the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. 16 And he brought streams out of the rock and caused water to flow down like rivers. 17 Yet they still continued to sin against him. They rebelled against the Most High in the desert. 18 And they tried God in their heart by asking food for their craving. 19 Nay, they spoke against God and said, "Can God provide a table in a desert? 20 Yes, he struck the rock and water flowed and streams gushed out, but can he also give food or provide meat for his people?" 21 Therefore the LORD heard and he was very angry, and a fire was kindled against Jacob, and his anger also rose up against Israel, 22 because they didn't believe in God and didn't trust in his deliverance. 23 Yet he commanded the skies above, and opened the doors of heaven. 24 and rained down on them manna to eat and gave them the grain of heaven. 25 Man ate the bread of angels. He sent them food to the full. 26 He made an east wind blow in the heavens; and He led out the south wind by His power. 27 He caused meat to rain on them like dust and winged birds as the sand of the sea. 28 And He made them fall amidst their camp, all around to their tents. 29 So they did eat, and were well filled; and He gave them that which they craved. 30 But they were not turned from their desires; and while the food was still in their mouths, 31 The wrath of God came on them, and put to death the fattest of them, and put an end to the young men of Israel. 32 In spite of all of this, they kept on sinning and didn't believe in his marvelous deeds. 33 And he consumed their days in vanity, and their years in terror. 34 When he slew them, they sought him, and turned them early, and inquired after God. 35 They remembered that God was their rock, that the Most High was their defender. 36 But they flattered him with their mouth, and lied to him with their tongue. 37 Their hearts were not loyal to him. They were not faithful to his promise. 38 But he, being merciful, forgave their iniquity and didn't destroy them; He restrained his anger and didn't vent all his wrath. 39 for he remembered that they were flesh, a passing wind that does not return. 40 How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness and vexed him in the wasteland! 41 Again they put God to the test, and gave pain to the Holy One of Israel. 42 They did not remember his power and the day he freed them from their oppressor, 43 when he performed his miraculous signs in Egypt, his wonders in the fields of Zoan. 44 when he turned their rivers to blood so they could not drink from their streams. 45 He sent among them flies that devoured them and frogs that destroyed them. 46 He gave their crops to grasshoppers and their produce to locusts. 47 He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycamore trees with sleet. 48 He gave up their cattle to the hail, and their flocks to bolts of fire. 49 He sent against them his fierce anger, rage and indignation and trouble, a band of destroying angels. 50 He cleared a path for his anger. He did not spare them from death but handed their life over to the plague. 51 And he struck all the first-born in Egypt, the firstfruits of strength in the tents of Ham; 52 and brought out his people like sheep, and led them like a flock in the desert, 53 He led them safely, so that they weren't afraid, but the sea overwhelmed their enemies. 54 He brought them to the border of his sanctuary, to this mountain, which his right hand had taken. 55 He drove out nations before them and allotted their tribal inheritance, settling the tribes of Israel in their tents. 56 But they tested and rebelled against God Most High and did not keep his statutes. 57 They fell away and were as disloyal as their ancestors. They became unreliable, like a defective bow; 58 And so they grieved him with their high places, and provoked him with their images. 59 God heard and he was very angry and rejected Israel utterly. 60 And He leaveth the tabernacle of Shiloh, The tent He had placed among men, 61 And he gave his strength into captivity and his splendor into the hand of the enemy. 62 He also gave his people over to the sword, and was angry with his inheritance. 63 Fire devoured their young men; and their maidens had no marriage–song 64 Their priests fell by the sword, and their widows couldn’t weep. 65 Then the LORD awoke as from sleep, Like a master jubilant from wine." 66 And he beat back his enemies; he gave them over to perpetual scorn. 67 He rejected the tent of Joseph. He did not choose the tribe of Ephraim, 68 But chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion which he loved. 69 And he built his sanctuary like the heights, like the earth that he established forever. 70 He also chose David his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds; 71 From following the suckling-ewes, he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance. 72 David shepherded them with a devoted heart, and led them with skillful hands.

Psalms 79:1-150:6

1 A psalm of Asaph. O God, the nations have entered your inheritance; they have defiled your holy temple; they have reduced Jerusalem to ruins. 2 They have given the bodies of your servants as food to the birds of the air, and the flesh of your saints to the beasts of the earth. 3 They have poured out their blood like water all around Jerusalem, and there was none to bury them. 4 We are become a reproach to our neighbours; A scoff and a derision to them around us. 5 How long, O LORD, wilt Thou be angry for ever? How long will Thy jealousy burn like fire? 6 Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not know you; on the kingdoms that do not call on your name; 7 for they have devoured Jacob, and destroyed his homeland. 8 Do not keep in mind against us the sins of our fathers; let your mercy come to us quickly, for we have been made very low. 9 Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of your name. Deliver us, and forgive our sins, for your name's sake. 10 Why should the nations say, Where is their Elohim? Let it be made known among the nations before our eyes:Vengeance for the shed blood of Your servants." 11 Let the cries of the prisoners reach you. With the strength of your power, release those condemned to death. 12 Pay back our neighbors seven times the reproach with which they reproached you, LORD. 13 Then we, your people, the sheep of your pasture, will praise you always, from generation to generation. We will declare your praise.

Psalms 80:1-150:6

1 Hear us, Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock, you who sit above the cherubim, shine forth. 2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up your might! Come to save us! 3 Restore us, God. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved. 4 O LORD God of hosts, how long will you be angry against the prayer of your people? 5 You have fed them the bread of tears; You have even made them drink tears by the bowlful. 6 You make us a source of contention to our neighbors. Our enemies have mocked us. 7 Restore us, God of hosts. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved. 8 You brought a vine out of Egypt. You drove out the nations, and planted it. 9 You cleared the ground for it so that it took root and filled the land. 10 The mountains were covered with its shade, and the mighty cedars with its boughs. 11 It sent out its branches to the sea, its shoots to the River. 12 Why did you break down its walls so that those who pass by pluck its fruits? 13 Swine from the forests devour it and creatures of the field feed on it. 14 Return, we beg you, God of hosts. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine, 15 The root that your right hand planted, the shoot that you tended for yourself, 16 - burnt with fire - cut down; they destruct at the rebuke of your face. 17 May you support the man at your right hand; the son of man whom you have raised for yourself. 18 So we will not turn away from you. Revive us, and we will call on your name. 19 Restore us, O LORD God of hosts, cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved.

Psalms 81:1-150:6

1 To the chief musician. On Gittith. Of Asaph. Sing aloud to God our strength; shout for joy to the God of Jacob. 2 Sing a song and strike the tambourine. Play the sweet sounding lyre with the harp. 3 Blow the ram's horn in the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day. 4 For this is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob; 5 He made it a statute in Joseph when he went out against the land of Egypt, where I heard a language I did not know. 6 I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were freed from the basket. 7 In a time of need you called out and I delivered you; I answered you from the dark thundercloud; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. [Interlude] 8 Hear, O my people, and I will admonish you; O Israel, if you would but listen to me. 9 There shall be no strange god among you, and you shall not bow down to a foreign god. 10 I am the LORD your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it. 11 But my people would not listen to my voice; and Israel would none of me. 12 "Therefore I gave them over to their stubborn hearts. They walked in their own counsel. 13 O that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways! 14 I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn my hand against their adversaries. 15 The haters of the LORD would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever. 16 "I would feed you with the finest of the wheat, and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you."

Psalms 82:1-150:6

1 A Psalm by Asaph. God presides in the great assembly. He judges among the gods. 2 "How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked?" Selah. 3 Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless, maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. 4 Rescue the weak and needy, deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.

Psalms 82:4

4 Rescue the weak and needy, deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. 5 They know not, nor do they understand. They walk to and fro in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken. 6 I said you are gods; and all sons of the Most High: 7 However, you will die like men, and you will fall like one of the princes." 8 Up! O God, come as judge of the earth; for all the nations are your heritage.

Psalms 83:1-150:6

1 God, do not keep silent. Do not keep silent, and do not be still, God. 2 For, behold, your enemies roar; they who hate you lift their head; 3 They conspire with cunning against your people. They plot against your cherished ones. 4 “Come,” they say, “let’s destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” 5 Indeed, they shrewdly planned together, forming an alliance against you 6 the tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarites; 7 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the dwellers of Tyre;" 8 Even Assyria joined them to strengthen the descendants of Lot. [Interlude] 9 Do to them as you did to Midian, as you did to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon 10 who perished at Endor, and became as the dung of the earth. 11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna, 12 who said, "Let us take possession of God's pasturelands." 13 My God, make them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind. 14 As a fire burneth a forest,—And as a flame setteth mountains ablaze, 15 so pursue them with your tempest, and terrify them with your storm. 16 Fill their faces with shame and they will seek Your name, O LORD. 17 Shame and terrify them eternally; yes, that they blush and destruct; 18 And let them know Your name is the LORD, that You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Psalms 84:1-150:6

1 For the music director; on the Gittith. Of the sons of Korah. A psalm. How lovely are your dwelling places, O LORD Almighty! 2 My soul longs and even faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. 3 Even the sparrow has found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, on Your altars, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God. 4 Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are ever praising you. Selah. 5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage. 6 As they pass through the dry valley of Baca, it becomes a place of springs; the autumn rain fills it with pools. 7 They go from strength to strength, until each appears before God in Zion. 8 Hear my prayer, Sovereign LORD Almighty. Listen, O God of Jacob! 9 Look at our shield, O God. Look with favor on the face of your anointed one. 10 For one day in Your courts is better than thousands. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of God, than dwell in the tents of sinners. 11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. 12 O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.

Psalms 85:1-150:6

1 For the music director. Of the sons of Korah. A psalm. O Yahweh, you favored your land. You restored the fortunes of Jacob. 2 You have forgiven the iniquity of your people. You have covered all their sin. Selah. 3 You withdrew all your wrath; you turned from your burning anger. 4 Restore us, O God of our salvation, And take away thy vexation towards us. 5 Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations? 6 Will you not revive us again: that your people may rejoice in you? 7 Show us your loving kindness, O LORD and grant us your salvation. 8 I will hear what God, the LORD, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, his saints; but let them not turn again to folly. 9 Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land. 10 Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace kissed each other . 11 Truth shall sprout out of the earth, and righteousness looks down from Heaven. 12 The LORD will also provide what is good, and our land will yield its produce. 13 Righteousness goes before him, And prepares the way for his steps.

Psalms 86:1-150:6

1 Hear, LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. 2 Guard my soul, for I am godly; O You my God, save Your servant who trusts in You. 3 Have mercy on me Lord, for I call on you all day long. 4 Bring joy to the soul of your servant, for to you, Lord, do I lift up my soul. 5 for you, O Adonay, are good and forgiving - abundant in mercy to all who call on you. 6 Hear my prayer, LORD; attend to my prayer of supplication. 7 In the day of my trouble I will call on you, for you will answer me. 8 Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; none are like Your works. 9 All nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord. They shall glorify your name. 10 For You are great, and do wondrous things, You alone are God. 11 Teach me your way, LORD. I will walk in your truth. Make my heart undivided to fear your name. 12 I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify your name forevermore. 13 For great is your mercy toward me: and you have delivered my soul from the depths of sheol. 14 O God, arrogant people attack me, and a mob of ruthless people seeks my life. They think nothing of you. 15 But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abundant in loyal love and faithfulness. 16 Turn to me, and have mercy on me! Give your strength to your servant. Save the son of your servant. 17 Show me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it and be put to shame, because you, the LORD, have helped me and comforted me.

Psalms 87:1-150:6

1 Of the sons of Korah. A psalm. A song. His foundation is on the holy mountains. 2 the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. 3 Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah. 4 I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me. Look, Philistia, Tyre, and also Ethiopia: "This one was born there." 5 Yes, of Zion it will be said, "This one and that one was born in her;" the Most High himself will establish her. 6 The LORD shall count in the register of the peoples: 'This one was born there.' Selah 7 And while dancing, singers will sing, "All my springs are in you."

Psalms 88:1-150:6

1 A song. A psalm of the sons of Korah. For the music director; according to Mahalath Leannoth. A maskil of Heman the Ezrahite. O LORD, God of my salvation, I cry out by day and through the night before you. 2 Let my prayer come before you: incline your ear to my cry; 3 For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near the grave. 4 I am counted among those who go down into the pit. I am like a man who has no help, 5 set apart among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom you remember no more. They are cut off from your hand. 6 You have laid me in the lowest pit, in the darkest depths. 7 Your wrath lies heavily upon me; You have afflicted me with all Your waves. Selah. 8 You have taken my friends from me. You have made me an abomination to them. I am confined, and I can’t escape. 9 My eye languishes from misery. I call on you, O LORD, every day; I spread out my hands to you. 10 Do you show wonders to the dead? Do the dead rise up and praise you? Selah. 11 Is Your grace declared in the grave? Or Your faithfulness in Destruction? 12 Are your wonders known in the darkness, or your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? 13 I cry out to you for help, O LORD, and in the morning my prayer will come before you. 14 Why, LORD, have you rejected me? Why have you hidden your face from me? 15 Ever since I was young, I have been suffering and near death. I have endured your terrors, and now I am in despair. 16 Your burning anger has swept over me. Your terrors have destroyed me. 17 They came around me like water all day long. They completely engulfed me. 18 You have taken my loved ones and friends far away from me. Darkness is my only friend!

Psalms 89:1-150:6

1 [A maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite.] I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever: with my mouth will I make known your faithfulness to all generations. 2 I indeed declare, Love stands firm forever because You established the skies; Your faithfulness is in them. 3 “I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David, my servant, 4 I will establish Your seed forever, and build up Your throne to all generations. Selah. 5 The heavens will praise your wonders, O LORD, Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones. 6 For who in the skies compares to the LORD? Who is like the LORD among the divine beings? 7 a God very awesome in the council of the holy ones and to be feared above all those who are all around him? 8 O LORD God of hosts, who is like You, O mighty the LORD? Your faithfulness also surrounds you. 9 You rule over the majestic sea; when its waves surge, you calm them. 10 You crushed Rahab who became like one slain; With Your strong arm You dispersed Your enemies. 11 The heavens are Yours, and the earth is Yours; You have founded the world, and the fullness of it. 12 You have created the north and the south. Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name. 13 Yours is an arm with mastery; Your hand is strong; Your right hand is exalted. 14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Loyal love and faithfulness come before your face. 15 Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, the LORD. 16 They rejoice in your name all the day. They are exalted in your righteousness. 17 For You are the glory of their strength; and by Your favor You lift up our horn. 18 Indeed, our shield belongs to the LORD, and our king to the Holy One of Israel. 19 Then you spoke in a vision to your faithful ones, and said, "I have bestowed strength on the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people. 20 I have found David my servant. With my holy oil I have anointed him, 21 For My hand shall support him; and My arm shall strengthen him. 22 No enemy will tax him, no wicked man will oppress him. 23 I will crush his enemies before him and strike those who hate him. 24 My faithfulness and gracious love will be with him, and in my name his power will be exalted. 25 I will place his hand over the sea, and his right hand over the rivers. 26 He will call out to me, 'You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.' 27 I will also appoint him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. 28 I will keep my mercy for him for ever; my agreement with him will not be changed. 29 I will establish his dynasty forever, and his throne as long as heaven endures. 30 If his sons forsake my law and do not walk in my judgments, 31 if they profane my statutes; and do not keep my commands, 32 then I will punish their sin with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. 33 But I will not annul My mercy from him, and I will not be false in My faithfulness. 34 I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered. 35 Once for all I have sworn by my holiness; that I will not be false to David. 36 His offspring will endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me. 37 It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky." Selah. 38 But you have rejected and spurned. You have been angry with your anointed. 39 You have renounced the covenant of your servant. You have defiled his crown in the dust. 40 You have broken through all his walls; you have laid his fortresses in ruin. 41 All who pass by the way rob him. He has become a reproach to his neighbors. 42 You have exalted the right hand of his foes; You have made all his enemies rejoice. 43 Yes, you turn back the edge of his sword, and haven’t supported him in battle. 44 You put an end to his splendor and hurled his throne to the ground. 45 You have cut short the days of his youth; you have covered him with shame. Selah 46 How long, O LORD? Will you hide yourself forever? Shall your wrath burn like fire? 47 Remember how transient is my life, For what futility have You created all the sons of humanity? 48 What man can live on and not see death? Can he deliver his life from the power of Sheol? Selah 49 Where is your gracious love of old, Lord, that in your faithfulness you promised to David? 50 Remember, Lord, the reproach of your servants, how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the mighty peoples, 51 With which your enemies have mocked, LORD, with which they have mocked the footsteps of your anointed one. 52 Blessed be the LORD forever. Amen and Amen.

Psalms 90:1-150:6

1 A Prayer by Moses, the man of God. Lord, you have been our dwelling place for all generations. 2 Before the mountains were born and you brought forth the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God. 3 You turn men back into dust and say: "Return, O sons of men!" 4 For a thousand years in your eyes are like yesterday when it passes, or like a watch in the night. 5 You sweep mortals away in the sleep of death. They sprout again in the morning like grass. 6 In the morning it blossoms and grows up; in the evening it is cut down and withers. 7 Indeed, we are consumed by your anger and terrified by your wrath. 8 You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence. 9 For all our days pass away in Your wrath; we finish our years like a murmur. 10 The days of our years are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty years; yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for it passes quickly, and we fly away. 11 Who knows the power of your anger and your wrath according to the fear that is due to you? 12 So teach us to number our days so that we may gain a heart of wisdom. 13 Relent, LORD. How long? Have compassion on your servants. 14 Satisfy us in the morning with your loyal love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. 15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen evil. 16 Let your work appear to your servants, your glory to their children. 17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands.

Psalms 91:1-150:6

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust." 3 Surely He will deliver you from the fowler's trap and from the destroying plague. 4 He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. 5 You shall not fear the terror of night, of the arrow that flies by day; 6 for the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you. 8 You will only look with your eyes, and see the punishment of the wicked. 9 For thou, O the LORD, my trust; thou didst set the Most High thy refuge. 10 No harm will befall you, and no plague will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you, to watch over you in all your ways. 12 they will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread upon the lion and the viper. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot. 14 Because he loves me, therefore I will deliver him; I will protect him because he knows my name. 15 He will call upon me and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.

Psalms 92:1-150:6

1 A Psalm, A Song for the Sabbath Day. It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; 2 to proclaim your gracious love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, 3 To do this on a ten-stringed instrument with a melody on a harp. 4 Because you made me glad with your awesome deeds, LORD, I will sing for joy at the works of your hands. 5 How great are your deeds, O LORD; how very deep are your thoughts. 6 An animal-like man does not know; a fool does not understand this. 7 though the wicked spring up as the grass, and all the evildoers flourish, they will be destroyed forever. 8 But You, O LORD, are exalted forever. 9 For, lo, Your enemies, O LORD; for, lo, Your enemies shall perish; all the evildoers shall be scattered. 10 But you have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; you have anointed me with fresh oil. 11 My eyes gloat over those who spy on me. My ears hear the evildoers attacking me. 12 The righteous will flourish like palm trees; they will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They will still bear fruit even in old age; they will be luxuriant and green. 15 to show that the LORD is upright. He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Psalms 93:1-150:6

1 The LORD reigns. He is clothed with majesty. The LORD is armed with strength. The world also is established. It can't be moved. 2 Your throne is established from long ago. You are from everlasting. 3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their pounding waves. 4 Mightier than the rumblings of many waters, mightier than the mighty breakers of the sea, the LORD on high is mighty. 5 Your statutes stand firm. Holiness adorns your house, Yahweh, forever more.

Psalms 94:1-150:6

1 O LORD, God of vengeance, God of vengeance, shine forth! 2 Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve. 3 How long will the wicked, O LORD, how long will the wicked exult? 4 They pour out arrogant words; all the evildoers boast. 5 They crush your people, O LORD; they oppress your inheritance. 6 They kill the widow and the alien, and murder the fatherless. 7 They say, "The LORD cannot see, and the God of Jacob will not notice." 8 Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise? 9 He who implanted the ear, won't he hear? He who formed the eye, won't he see? 10 He who disciplines the nations, won't he punish? He who teaches man knows. 11 The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile. 12 Blessed is the man whom you discipline, LORD, and teach out of your Law; 13 to give him rest from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked. 14 For the LORD won't reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. 15 Because judgment will return to righteousness and all the upright in heart will follow it. 16 Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evildoers? 17 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had soon dwelt in silence 18 When I thought, "My foot is slipping," your loyal love, O LORD, supported me. 19 When my cares are many within me, Thy comforts delight my soul. 20 Can wicked rulers be allied with you? They frame mischief by decree (the law). 21 They gather together against the righteous, condemning the innocent to death. 22 But the Lord is become my defence, and my God, the rock of my refuge. 23 He shall recompense them their wickedness, and destroy them in their own malice: yea the LORD our God shall destroy them.

Psalms 95:1-150:6

1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. 2 Let's come before his presence with thanksgiving. Let's extol him with songs. 3 For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods. 4 He holds in his hand the lowest parts of the earth and the mountain peaks belong to him. 5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. 6 Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. 7 for he is our Elohim and we are the people of his pasture - the flock of his hand. Today if you hear his voice, 8 Do not harden your heart as at Meribah, As on the day of Massah, in the desert; 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, although they had seen my doing. 10 For forty years I was disgusted with this generation; and I said, They are a people who err in heart; and, They do not know My ways, 11 So I swore by an oath in my anger, Shall they enter into my rest, no.

Psalms 96:1-150:6

1 Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Sing to the LORD. Bless his name. Proclaim his salvation from day to day. 3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples. 4 For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods 5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. 6 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. 7 Ascribe to the LORD, you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. 8 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts. 9 Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth. 10 Say among the nations, "The LORD reigns." The world is also established. It can't be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity. 11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad: let the sea roar, with all that filleth it. 12 Let the field with all that is in it exult. Then all the trees of the forests will sing for joy 13 before the LORD; for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, the peoples with his truth.

Psalms 97:1-150:6

1 the LORD reigneth: let the earth be glad, let the many isles rejoice. 2 Cloud and thick darkness are surrounding him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. 3 A fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries on every side. 4 His lightning lights up the world. The earth sees, and trembles. 5 Mountains melt like wax before the LORD before the LORD of all the earth. 6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory. 7 Let all who serve an image be ashamed, those who boast about idols. Worship him, all you gods. 8 Zion heard, and rejoiced; and the daughters of Judah were glad, because of thy judgments, O LORD. 9 For you, LORD, are most high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all gods. 10 You who love the LORD, hate evil. He protects the lives of his faithful; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked. 11 Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart. 12 Be glad in the LORD, you righteous, and give thanks to his holy name.

Psalms 98:1-150:6

1 Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things. His right hand, and his holy arm, have worked salvation for him. 2 the LORD has made his salvation known. He has uncovered his righteousness for the nations to see. 3 He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. 4 Shout joyfully to the LORD all the earth. Break out into joyful singing, and make music. 5 Make melody to the LORD with the harp, With the harp and the sound of melody." 6 With trumpets and the sound of a ram's horn shout in the presence of the LORD, the king! 7 Let the sea roar, and the fullness of it; the world, and those who live in it. 8 Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing for joy together. 9 Let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

Psalms 99:1-150:6

1 the LORD reigns! Let the nations tremble. He sits enthroned between the cherubim: let the earth be moved. 2 Great is the LORD in Zion, And exalted is He over all the peoples." 3 Let them praise your great and awesome name! He is holy. 4 The King's strength also loves justice. You do establish equity. You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob. 5 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool. He is holy! 6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who call on his name. They called on the LORD, and he answered them. 7 He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud. They kept his testimonies and the statute he gave to them. 8 O LORD our God, you answered them. You were a forgiving God to them, and an avenger of their evil deeds. 9 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy!

Psalms 100:1-150:6

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all you lands. 2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before His face with joyful singing. 3 Know that the LORD, he is God. It is he who has made us and we are his. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, his courts with praise. Give thanks to him; bless his name. 5 For the LORD is good, His grace endures forever, His faithfulness to all generations.

Psalms 101:1-150:6

1 A Psalm by David. I will sing of grace and justice. To You, the LORD, I will sing praises. 2 I will be careful to live a blameless life. When will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a blameless heart. 3 I will set no vile thing before my eyes. I hate the deeds of faithless men. They will not cling to me. 4 A perverse heart will be far from me. I will have nothing to do with evil. 5 Whoso slandereth his neighbour in secret, him will I destroy; whoso is haughty of eye and proud of heart, him will I not suffer. 6 My eyes will be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he will minister to me. 7 He who practices deceit won't dwell within my house. He who speaks falsehood won't be established before my eyes. 8 Every morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land: to cut off all workers of iniquity from the city of the LORD.

Psalms 102:1-150:6

1 A prayer of one afflicted, when he grows faint and pours out his lament before the LORD. O LORD, hear my prayer, and let my cry for help come to you. 2 Do not hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Incline your ear to me. In the day when I call answer me quickly. 3 For my days vanish like smoke, And my bones burn hot like glowing embers." 4 My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread. 5 Because of the sound of my groaning my bones cling to my skin. 6 I have become like a pelican of the wilderness; 7 I lie awake, I have become like a lonely bird on a housetop. 8 All day long my enemies have reproached me. Those who deride me used my name as a curse. 9 I have eaten ashes as food and mixed my drink with tears 10 because of your indignation and your wrath; for you have taken me up and thrown me away. 11 My days are like a lengthened shadow and I wither away like grass. 12 But you, LORD, will abide forever; your renown endures to all generations. 13 You will arise to extend compassion on Zion, for it is time to show her favor the appointed time has come. 14 (102:15) For thy servants hold dear her stones, and her very dust they cherish. 15 So the nations will fear the name of the LORD; all the kings of the earth your glory. 16 For the Lord will rebuild Sion and appear in his glory. 17 He will turn to the prayer of the destitute, and will not despise their prayer. 18 Let this be written for a later generation, When a people yet being created shall praise Yah." 19 For he looketh down from his sanctuary; out of the heaven doth the LORD behold the earth, 20 to hear the groans of the prisoner; to free those who are condemned to death; 21 That the name of the LORD may be declared in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem, 22 when the peoples and the kingdoms are gathered together to serve the LORD. 23 He hath prostrated, in the way, my strength,—He hath shortened my days. 24 Do not take me away in the midst of my days; Your years are through all generations. 25 In the beginning You, O Lord, laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Your hands. 26 "They will perish, but you endure. All of them will wear out like a garment; like clothing you will renew them and they will be renewed. 27 But you remain the same; your years never end. 28 The children of your servants will continue, and their descendants will be established before you."

Psalms 103:1-150:6

1 {Of David} Praise the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me praise his holy name. 2 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. 3 who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, 4 who redeems your life from corruption; who crowns you with mercy and compassion; 5 who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. 6 the LORD works righteousness and judgments for all the oppressed. 7 who made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel. 8 the LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in loyal love. 9 He will not always chasten, nor will he keep his anger forever. 10 He has not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His grace toward those who fear Him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. 13 Like a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him. 14 For he knows how we are made. He remembers that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are as grass: his beautiful growth is like the flower of the field. 16 For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. 17 But the loyal love of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to their children's children, 18 to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his precepts. 19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven and his kingdom rules over all. 20 Bless the LORD, you his angels, you mighty heroes who do his word by obeying the sound of his word. 21 Bless the LORD, all you his hosts, you his attendants who do his will. 22 Praise the LORD, all you his works in all places of his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

Psalms 104:1-150:6

1 Praise the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty, 2 He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain. 3 He lays the beams of his chambers in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind. 4 He makes winds his angels, and flames of fire his servants. 5 He laid the earth on its foundations; it shall not be shaken forever. 6 You covered it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. 7 At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they ran off. 8 they ascend by the mountains; they descend by the valleys to the place you founded for them. 9 You have set a boundary they cannot cross; they will never again cover the earth. 10 He causes springs to gush forth into rivers that flow between the mountains. 11 They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild donkeys quench their thirst. 12 The birds of the sky nest by them, they sing among the branches. 13 He watereth the mountains from his upper-chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. 14 He causes grass to sprout for the cattle and plants for people to cultivate, to produce food from the land, 15 and wine that gladdens the heart of man and oil to make his face to shine and bread that strengthens man's heart. 16 The trees of the LORD are satisfied the cedars of Lebanon that He planted; 17 where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the fir trees. 18 The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the conies 19 He made the moon for seasons; the sun knows its going down. 20 You bring darkness and it becomes night; when every beast of the forest prowls. 21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God. 22 The sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens. 23 Man goes out to his work, to his labor until the evening. 24 How manifold are Thy works, O LORD! In wisdom hast Thou made them all; the earth is full of Thy creatures. 25 The sea is so big and wide with many creatures, living things both large and small. 26 There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there. 27 They all wait for you to give them their food at the proper time. 28 You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good. 29 You hide your face, they are terrified. You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust. 30 When you send your spirit, they are created, and you replenish the surface of the earth. 31 May the glory of the LORD endure for ever; let the LORD rejoice in His works! 32 He looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke. 33 I will sing to the LORD all my life. I will sing praise to my God as long as I exist. 34 May my meditation be pleasing to him. I will be glad in the LORD. 35 Let the sinners perish from the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, O my soul. Praise the LORD!

Psalms 105:1-150:6

1 O give thanks to the LORD, call upon his name. Make known among the peoples his practices. 2 Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; talk of all His wonderful works. 3 Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek the LORD rejoice. 4 Seek ye the LORD and his strength: seek his face always. 5 Remember His wonders that He has done, His miracles, and the judgments of His mouth, 6 O seed of Abraham, His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones. 7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth. 8 He remembered his covenant forever, the word he commanded to a thousand generations. 9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath to Isaac; 10 He presented it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant. 11 saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan, the portion of your inheritance; 12 When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it. 13 they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another. 14 He suffered no man to do them wrong, yea, for their sake He reproved kings: 15 "Do not touch my anointed ones. Do my prophets no harm." 16 He called for a famine on the land, He destroyed the piles of food. 17 He sent a man before them. Joseph was sold for a slave. 18 They bruised his feet with shackles. His neck was locked in irons, 19 until his word came to pass; till the oracle of the Lord tried him. 20 The king sent and released him, even the ruler of peoples, and let him go free. 21 He made him master of his house, and ruler of all his possession. 22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom. 23 Then Israel came to Egypt. Jacob lived as a foreigner in the land of Ham. 24 And he made his people very fruitful. He also made them stronger than their enemies. 25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to conspire against his servants. 26 He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen. 27 They performed his signs among them, his wonders in the land of Ham. 28 He sent darkness, and made it dark. And they rebelled against his words. 29 He turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die. 30 Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the rooms of their kings. 31 He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats in all their country. 32 He turned their rain into hail, into flaming fire in their land. 33 And he struck their vines and fig trees, and shattered the trees of their territory. 34 He spoke, and the locusts came, and the grasshoppers, without number, 35 They consumed every green plant in their land, and devoured the fruit of their soil. 36 He struck also all the firstborn in their land, the first fruits of all their manhood. 37 He brought Israel out with silver and gold, and no one among his tribes stumbled. 38 Egypt was glad when they departed, because the fear of them had fallen upon them. 39 He spread out a cloud as a covering, And fire, to give light by night, 40 They asked, and he brought quail, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. 41 He opened a rock, and water gushed out flowing like a river in the desert. 42 For He remembered His holy word and His servant Abraham; 43 He brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with a song of joy. 44 He gave them the lands of other nations. They inherited what others had worked for. 45 that they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise the LORD.

Psalms 106:1-150:6

1 Praise the LORD! Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His grace endures forever. 2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD, or fully declare all his praise? 3 Blessed are those who observe justice, he who does righteousness at all times. 4 Remember me, O LORD, when you show favor to your people. Look after me when you deliver, 5 That I may see the prosperity of thy chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the joy of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance. 6 We have sinned with our fathers; we have done amiss, and dealt wickedly. 7 Our fathers in Egypt did not understand your wonders. They did not remember your abundant kindnesses. But they rebelled by the Red Sea. 8 But He saved them for His name's sake, to make His mighty power known. 9 He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert. 10 He saved them from the hand of the one who hated them and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. 11 But waters covered their adversaries; not one of them survived. 12 Then they believed his word and sung his praise. 13 But they quickly forgot his deeds and did not wait for his counsel. 14 but gave in to their craving in the desert, and tested God in the wasteland. 15 And he gave them their request, but sent a wasting disease into their souls. 16 yet they provoked Moses in the camp and Aaron the consecrated of the Lord. 17 the earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; and covered the company of Abiram. 18 a fire burnt in their witness - the flame burnt the wicked: 19 At Mount Horeb they made a statue of a calf. They worshiped an idol made of metal. 20 Thus they exchanged their glory for an image of a bull that eats grass. 21 They forgot God, who saved them, who had done great things in Egypt, 22 wonders in the land of Ham, awesome deeds by the Red Sea. 23 So he said he would exterminate them, had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him, to reverse his wrath from destroying them. 24 Yes, they despised the pleasant land. They did not believe his word, 25 They complained in their tents. They did not obey the LORD. 26 So he lifted up his hand unto them, that he would let them fall in the desert; 27 kill their descendants among the nations, and scatter them throughout various lands. 28 They also attached themselves to Baal of Peor, and they ate sacrifices offered to the dead. 29 Thus they provoked to anger by their deeds, and a plague broke out among them. 30 Then Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was stayed; 31 That was credited to him for righteousness, for all generations to come. 32 And they angered Him at the waters of Meribah, and it went ill for Moses because of them; 33 for they rebelled against his spirit so that he babbled with his lips: 34 They did not destroy the peoples, as the LORD commanded them, 35 but they mingled with the nations and learned their works, 36 They served their idols, which became a snare to them. 37 They sacrificed their sons And their daughters to demons; 38 and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was defiled with blood, 39 Thus they defiled themselves by their deeds, And they prostituted themselves by their actions." 40 Therefore the Lord was incensed against his people, and abhorred his inheritance. 41 He handed them over to other nations, and those who hated them ruled them. 42 Their enemies oppressed them and made them subject to their power. 43 Many times He delivered them, but they rebelled in their counsel and sank in their iniquities. 44 Yet he looked upon their distress when he heard their cry. 45 he remembered his covenant and according to the multitude of his mercies; 46 He also made them to be pitied by all those who carried them captive. 47 Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, so that we may give thanks to your holy name and boast in your praise. 48 Thanks be to the LORD the God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say amen. Praise the LORD!

Psalms 107:1-150:6

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His grace endures forever. 2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom He redeemed from the hand of the foe; 3 and gathered from the lands, from east and from west, from north and from south. 4 They wandered in desolate wilderness; they found no road to a city where they could live. 5 They were hungry and thirsty: their soul fainted in them. 6 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. 7 He led them in a straight way to find a city where they could live. 8 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his gracious love and his awesome deeds for mankind. 9 For He satisfies the empty soul, and fills the hungry soul with good things, 10 Those who sat in darkness and gloom, prisoners of misery and iron— 11 because they rebelled against the words of God, and despised the counsel of the Most High; 12 And he humbled with trouble their heart; they stumbled, and there was none to help; 13 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. 14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke away their chains. 15 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his gracious love, and for his awesome deeds to mankind. 16 For he has broken the gates of bronze, and cut through bars of iron. 17 Because of their rebellious ways, fools suffered for their iniquities. 18 They loathed all food, and even reached the gates of death. 19 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. 20 He sent his message and healed them. He rescued them from the grave. 21 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his gracious love, and for his awesome deeds for mankind. 22 Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and talk about his works with shouts of joy. 23 As for them who go to sea in ships, and traffick on the mighty waters; 24 they saw the works of the LORD, and his wonderful deeds in the deep. 25 For he spoke and raised up a stormy wind, and it whipped up its waves. 26 They mount up to the heavens, and they go down to the depths: their soul pined away with evils. 27 They reeled and staggered like a drunkard, and they were at their wits' end. 28 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distresses. 29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves of the sea are still. 30 Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven. 31 Let them give thanks to the LORD for his loyal love and his wonderful deeds for the children of humankind, 32 Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people and praise him in the counsel of the elders. 33 He turns rivers into a desert, water springs into a thirsty ground, 34 and a fruitful land into a salt waste because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it. 35 He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into water springs. 36 There he settled the hungry, where they built a city to live in. 37 They sowed fields and planted vineyards that yielded a productive harvest. 38 And he blesses them and they multiply greatly, and he does not let their cattle become few. 39 When they become few and they are bent down from the oppression of calamity and grief, 40 he pours contempt on princes and causes them to wander in a trackless waste. 41 Yet he lifts the needy out of their affliction, and increases their families like a flock. 42 The righteous will see this and rejoice, but all the wicked will shut their mouths. 43 Whoever is wise, let him observe these things; Let them consider the benignities of the LORD."

Psalms 108:1-150:6

1 A Song. A Psalm by David. My heart is steadfast, God. I will sing and I will make music with my soul. 2 Awake, harp and lyre. I will awake the dawn. 3 I will praise you, O LORD, among the people. I will sing praises to you among the nations. 4 For Your grace is great above the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies. 5 Be exalted, God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth. 6 that your beloved may be rescued; save with your right and answer me. 7 God has spoken from his sanctuary: "In triumph, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth. 8 Gilead is mine. Manasseh is mine. Ephraim also is my helmet. Judah is my scepter. 9 Moab is My washbasin; Unto Edom shall I fling My sandal; Over Philistia shall I shout in triumph. 10 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? 11 Will not You, O God, who have rejected us? And will not You, O God, go forth with our armies? 12 Give us help against the enemy, for the help of man is vain. 13 In God we shall do strength, and he will tread down our enemies.

Psalms 109:1-150:6

1 To the Director. A Davidic psalm.. God, whom I praise, do not be silent, 2 Wicked and deceitful people have opened their mouths against me. They speak against me with lying tongues. 3 And, with words of hatred, have they surrounded me, and have made war upon me without cause: 4 In return for my love they accuse me, though I am in prayer. 5 And they repaid me evil for good: and hatred for my love. 6 Appoint the evil one to oppose him. Let an accuser stand at his right hand. 7 When he is judged, let him come out guilty, and let his prayer become as sin. 8 Let his days be few; and let another take his office of overseer. 9 May his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. 10 may his children be wandering beggars, let them be sought from their ruins. 11 Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor. 12 May no one extend gracious love to him, or show favor to his fatherless children. 13 Let his descendants be cut off. Let their name be blotted out in the next generation. 14 Let the iniquity of his ancestors be remembered before the LORD, and let the sin of his mother not be blotted out. 15 let them be always before the LORD, so that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth; 16 For he didn't think to extend gracious love; he harassed to death the poor, the needy, and the broken hearted. 17 Yea, he loved cursing, and it came to him; he also had no pleasure in blessing, and it was far from him. 18 He put on cursing like a robe, and it has come into his body like water, and into his bones like oil. 19 May those curses wrap around him like a garment, or like a belt that one always wears. 20 May this be the way the LORD repays my accuser, those who speak evil against me. 21 But You, Sovereign LORD, deal kindly with me for Your name's sake; because Your mercy is good, deliver me. 22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me. 23 I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust. 24 My knees are weak through fasting, my body is thin and lacks fat. 25 I am become also a taunt unto them; when they see me, they shake their head. 26 Help me, O LORD my God; save me according to your loyal love, 27 that they may know that this is your hand; that you, LORD, have done it. 28 Let them curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be put to shame, but your servant will rejoice. 29 May my accusers be clothed with shame and wrapped in their humiliation as with a robe. 30 With my mouth I will greatly thank the Lord; and praise him in the midst of many: 31 for he stands at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those judging his life.

Psalms 110:1-150:6

1 A Psalm by David. the LORD says to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet. 2 the LORD will send out your mighty scepter from Zion; rule in the midst of your enemies. 3 Your people will volunteer in the day of your power. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, you will have the dew of your youth. 4 The LORD has sworn, and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek." 5 The Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of his wrath. 6 He will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will crush the ruler of the whole earth. 7 He will drink of the brook in the way; therefore he will lift up his head.

Psalms 111:1-150:6

1 Praise the LORD! I will thank the LORD with all my heart; in the council of the upright, and of the assembly. 2 Great are the works of the LORD, Sought after by all who delight in them." 3 Glorious and majestic is his doing, and his righteousness endureth for ever. 4 He has made his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate. 5 He gives food to those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. 6 He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations. 7 The works of his hands are faithfulness and justice; all his precepts are reliable. 8 They are sustained forever and ever, done with faithfulness and uprightness. 9 He sent redemption unto his people: he has commanded his covenant forever: holy and awesome is his name. 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who do them have a good understanding. His praise endures forever.

Psalms 112:1-150:6

1 Praise Yah! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD; he takes great delight in his commands. 2 His seed will be mighty in the land, the generation of the upright will be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. 4 Risen—in darkness, is light to the upright, The gracious and compassionate and righteous. 5 Well will it be with the man who is kind, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with justice. 6 For he will never be shaken. The righteous will be remembered forever. 7 He will not be afraid of evil news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. 8 His heart is secure, he has no fears; in the end he will look in triumph on his adversaries. 9 He has scattered abroad; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn shall be lifted up with honor. 10 The wicked shall see it, and be vexed; he will gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the longing of the wicked shall perish.

Psalms 113:1-150:6

1 Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. 2 Let the name of the Lord be blessed, now and forevermore. 3 From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised. 4 The LORD is high above all nations, his glory above the heavens. 5 Who is like the LORD our God, who is enthroned on high, 6 who stoops down to view both heaven and earth? 7 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the dunghill 8 to seat them with princes, with the princes of his people. 9 He settles the barren woman in her home, as a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD.

Psalms 114:1-150:6

1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign language, 2 Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his dominion. 3 The sea looked and fled; the Jordan turned back; 4 The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs. 5 What was it, you sea, that you fled? You Jordan, that you turned back? 6 O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O hills, like lambs? 7 Tremble, you earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, 8 who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a spring of waters.

Psalms 115:1-150:6

1 Not to us, LORD, not to us, but to your name be given glory on account of your gracious love and faithfulness. 2 Why do the nations say, Where is their God now? 3 Our God is in heaven. He does whatever he pleases. 4 Their idols, are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men,— 5 They have mouths, but cannot speak; they have eyes, but cannot see. 6 they have ears, but they cannot hear; they have noses, but they cannot smell; 7 They have hands but they cannot feel: They have feet, but they cannot walk: nor can they utter a sound with their throat. 8 Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them. 9 House of Israel, trust in the LORD; He is their Help and their Shield." 10 O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield. 11 You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their helper and shield. 12 The LORD remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron. 13 He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great. 14 May the LORD give you increase, you and your children. 15 May you be blessed by the LORD, who made heaven and earth. 16 The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but he gave the earth to human beings. 17 The dead do not praise the LORD, nor any who go down into silence, 18 but we will bless the LORD, from now on and forever. Praise the LORD!

Psalms 116:1-150:6

1 I love the LORD because he has heard my prayer for mercy; 2 Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live. 3 The cords of death compassed me, and the pains of Sheol gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow 4 Then I called on the name of the LORD: "O LORD, please save my life!" 5 The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is compassionate; 6 The LORD preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me. 7 Return to your rest, O soul; for the LORD has blessed you. 8 For You have delivered my soul from death, my eye from tears, my feet from stumbling. 9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living. 10 I believed, therefore I said, "I am greatly afflicted." 11 I said in my haste, "All men are liars." 12 How can I repay the LORD for all the good that he has done for me? 13 I will lift up the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD. 14 I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people. 15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. 16 LORD, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your handmaid. You have freed me from my chains. 17 I will bring you a thanksgiving offering and call on the name of the LORD! 18 I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people, 19 in the courts of the house of the LORD; in your midst, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD!

Psalms 117:1-150:6

1 Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. 2 For his mercy is great toward us; and the truth of the LORD [endureth] for ever. Praise ye the LORD

Psalms 118:1-150:6

1 Give thanks to the LORD for He is good, for His grace endures forever. 2 Let Israel say, "His loyal love is forever." 3 Let the house of Aaron say, "His loyal love is forever." 4 Let those who fear the LORD say, "His loyal love is forever." 5 In my distress I called to the LORD; he answered me and set me free. 6 the LORD is with me, I will not be afraid; what can man do to me? 7 the LORD is for me as my helper, and so I will look in triumph on those who hate me. 8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. 9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes. 10 All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the LORD, I cut them off. 11 They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me. In the name of the LORD I indeed cut them off. 12 They surrounded me like bees but they are quenched like the burning thorns. In the name of the LORD I cut them off. 13 I was pushed, yea pushed so as to fall, Yet the LORD, He helped me." 14 The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. 15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD does mighty things. 16 the LORD's right hand is exalted; the LORD's right hand does valiantly. 17 I shall not die: but live and proclaim the works of the Lord. 18 The LORD has chastened me severely: but he has not given me over unto death. 19 Open for me the gates of righteousness, and I will go in at them and give thanks to the Lord. 20 This is the gate of the LORD, through which the righteous will enter. 21 I will give thee thanks, for thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation. 22 The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. 23 From the LORD came this; It is marvelous in our eyes. 24 This is the day the LORD has made let us rejoice and be glad in it! 25 O Lord, save me: O Lord, give good success. 26 Blessed be he that comes in the name of the LORD; from the house of the LORD we bless you. 27 The LORD is God, and he has given us light. Bind the sacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the altar. 28 You are my God, and I will give thanks to you. You are my God, I will exalt you. 29 O give thanks to the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever.

Psalms 119:1-150:6

1 ALEPH. Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD. 2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes, who seek him with their whole heart. 3 Yes, they do nothing wrong. They walk in his ways. 4 You have commanded your precepts, that we should fully obey them. 5 Oh that my ways were steadfast to obey your statutes! 6 Then I would not be ashamed when I look to all your commands. 7 I will praise you with an upright heart, as I learn your righteous decrees. 8 I will heed your statutes; do not utterly forsake me. 9 BET How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. 10 I have sought you with all of my heart; do not let me drift away from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. 12 Praise you, O LORD. Teach me your statutes. 13 With my lips I recount All the ordinances from Your mouth. 14 I rejoice in the way of your witnesses as over all wealth; 15 I will meditate on your precepts, and consider your ways. 16 I am delighted with your statutes; I will not forget your word. 17 GIMEL Do good to your servant. I will live and I will obey your word. 18 Open my eyes that I may observe wonderful things from your law. 19 I am a stranger on the earth. Do not hide your commandments from me. 20 My soul is consumed with longing for your decrees at all times. 21 You rebuke the arrogant, the accursed, who stray from your commands. 22 Remove from me scorn and contempt, for I have kept your testimonies. 23 Though princes sit and slander me, your servant will meditate on your statutes. 24 Yea, Thy testimonies are my delight, they are my counsellors. 25 My soul is laid low in the dust; revive me according to Your word! 26 I declared my ways, and you answered me. Teach me your statutes. 27 Let me understand the teaching of your precepts! Then I will meditate on your wondrous works. 28 My soul is weary with sorrow: strengthen me according to your word. 29 Remove from me the deceptive way, and graciously give me your law. 30 I have chosen the way of truth. I have set your ordinances before me. 31 I cling to your testimonies; O LORD, do not let me be put to shame. 32 I run in the path of your commandments, for you have set my heart free. 33 HEY Teach me, LORD, the way of your statutes. I will keep them to the end. 34 Make me understand, and I will preserve Your law And keep it with all my heart." 35 aim me in the path of your misvoth; for therein I delight: 36 Turn my heart toward your statutes, not toward selfish gain. 37 Turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things. Revive me in your ways. 38 Fulfill your promise to your servant, that you may be feared. 39 Take away my disgrace that I dread, for your ordinances are good. 40 Look, I long for your precepts. Revive me in your righteousness. 41 And let Your benignities come to me, O LORD, Your salvation according to Your promise." 42 Then I will have an answer for the one who taunts me, for I trust your word. 43 Do not snatch the word of truth out of my mouth, for I put my hope in your ordinances. 44 Then I will always keep your Law, forever and ever, 45 I will walk in liberty, for I have sought your precepts. 46 I also will speak of your testimonies before kings and will not be put to shame. 47 I will delight myself in your commandments, because I love them. 48 I will lift up my hands to your commands, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes. 49 ZAYIN Remember your word to your servant, because you gave me hope. 50 This is my comfort in my misery: that your word preserves my life. 51 The arrogant mock me excessively, but I do not swerve from your Law. 52 I have remembered your ancient ordinances, LORD, and I take comfort in them. 53 Rage seizes me because of the wicked, those who forsake your law. 54 Your statutes have been my songs in the house where I live. 55 In the night I remember your name, LORD, and keep your instruction. 56 This has become mine, that I observe your precepts. 57 You are my Portion, O LORD; I have promised to keep Your words." 58 I have sought your favor with all of my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise. 59 I considered my ways, and turned my steps to your statutes. 60 I will hurry, and not delay, to obey your commandments. 61 The ropes of the wicked bind me, but I won’t forget your law. 62 At midnight I will get up to thank you for your righteous ordinances. 63 I am a friend of all those who fear you, of those who observe your precepts. 64 The earth is full of your loving kindness! O LORD teach me your statutes. 65 TET. Do good to your servant, according to your word, LORD. 66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments. 67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word. 68 You are good and are doing us good; Teach me Your statutes. 69 The arrogant smear me with lies; I keep your precepts with my whole heart. 70 Their heart is callous and fat, but I delight in Your law. 71 It is good for me that I was afflicted, so that I might learn your statutes. 72 The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of pieces of gold and silver. 73 ( ι - [Yod.]) Your hands made and formed me; give me understanding, that I may learn your commands. 74 May those who fear you see me and be glad, for I have hoped in your word. 75 I know, O LORD, that your judgments are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me. 76 Now may Your benignity become my comfort, According to Your promise to Your servant." 77 Let your compassion come to me that I may live, for your law is my delight. 78 Let the arrogant be ashamed, for they subvert me with a lie. I shall meditate on your precepts. 79 Let those who fear you turn to me. They will know your statutes. 80 Let my heart be blameless toward your decrees, that I may not be disappointed. 81 My soul is exhausted looking for Your salvation; I have set my hope in Your word. 82 My eyes fail for your word. I say, "When will you comfort me?" 83 For I am like a wineskin in the smoke; I do not forget Your Precepts. 84 How many days must your servant endure this? When will you judge those who persecute me? 85 The proud have dug pits for me, contrary to your law. 86 All Your commands are faithful; they persecute me with lying; help me! 87 They had almost wiped me from the earth, but I did not forsake your precepts. 88 Preserve my life according to your loving kindness, so I will obey the statutes of your mouth. 89 LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in the heavens. 90 Your faithfulness is throughout all generations. You established the earth, and it stands. 91 Your laws remain to this day, for all things serve you. 92 If your law had not been my delight I would have perished in my affliction. 93 I will never forget your precepts, for with them, you have revived me. 94 I am yours. Save me, for I have sought your precepts. 95 The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me. I will consider your statutes. 96 Of all perfection I saw a limit; thy command is very broad. 97 O How I love your law! It is my meditation all day long. 98 Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, because they are ever with me. 99 I have more insight than all my teachers, for your laws are my meditation. 100 I have more common sense than the elders, for I observe your precepts. 101 I have kept my feet from every evil way, so that I might keep Your Word. 102 I have not departed from your judgments: for you have taught me. 103 How sweet are your words to my taste! Sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104 I obtain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every false way. 105 NUN Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. 106 I have sworn, and have confirmed it, that I will obey your righteous ordinances. 107 I am afflicted very much. Revive me, O LORD, according to your word. 108 Accept, O Lord, the freewill offerings of my mouth, and teach me Your judgments. 109 Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I do not forget your instruction. 110 The wicked have laid a snare for me, yet I have not gone-astray from your precepts. 111 I inherited thy testimonies forever: for they are the joy of my heart. 112 My heart is ever ready to keep your rules, even to the end. 113 SAMEKH I hate double-minded men, but I love your law. 114 You are my covert and my shield; I hope in Your word. 115 Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God. 116 Sustain me according to your word that I may live. Do not let me be ashamed of my hope. 117 Hold me up, and I shall be safe; and I will always have respect to Your Precepts. 118 You reject all those who stray from your statutes, for their deceit is in vain. 119 You remove all the wicked of the earth like dross; therefore I love your decrees. 120 My flesh trembles for fear of you. I am afraid of your judgments. 121 [Ayin] I have done what is right and just: leave me not to my oppressors. 122 Ensure your servant's well-being. Don't let the proud oppress me. 123 My eyes fail looking for your salvation, for your righteous word. 124 Deal with your servant according to your mercy, and teach me your statutes. 125 I am your servant; give me understanding, that I may know your statutes. 126 It is time to act, LORD, for they break your Law. 127 Therefore I love your commandments more than gold, yes, more than pure gold. 128 Therefore I consider all of your precepts to be right. I hate every false way. 129 Your laws are wonderful. Therefore I obey them! 130 The unfolding of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple. 131 I open my mouth and pant as I long for your commands. 132 Turn to me, and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your name. 133 Fix my steps in Your word; and let no evil rule over me. 134 Redeem me from the oppression of man, that I may keep your precepts. 135 Make your face shine upon your servant, and teach me your statutes. 136 Streams of waters flowed down my eyes when I kept not your law. 137 {Tsadi} Righteous art thou, O LORD, and true is thy judgment. 138 You have commanded Your statutes in righteousness; they are fully trustworthy. 139 My zeal wears me out, because my enemies ignore your words. 140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them. 141 I am small and despised. I do not forget your precepts. 142 Your righteousness is forever, and Your law is truth. 143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold of me, but Your commandments are my delight. 144 Your laws are righteous forever. Give me understanding that I may live. 145 I cried with all my heart. Answer me, O LORD! I will observe your statutes. 146 I call out to You; O save me, And I will keep Your testimonies." 147 I rise before dawn and cry for help. I put my hope in your words. 148 My eyes stay open through the night watches, that I might meditate on your word. 149 Hear my voice according to your loving kindness. Give me life, O LORD, according to your ordinances. 150 Those who pursue a wicked purpose draw near; they are far from your law. 151 You are near, O LORD, and all your commands are truth. 152 Of old I have known from your laws that you have founded them forever. 153 Resh. Look on my affliction and deliver me; for I do not forget Your law. 154 Defend my case and redeem me; revive me according to your promise. 155 Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek your statutes. 156 Your mercies are great, O LORD; preserve my life according to your ordinances. 157 Many are they that persecute me and oppress me; but I have not declined from Your testimonies. 158 I look at the faithless with loathing, because they do not observe your word. 159 See how I love your precepts; enliven me, O Yah Veh, according to your mercy. 160 All of your words are truth. Every one of your righteous ordinances endures forever. 161 Princes persecute me without cause, but my heart trembles because of your word. 162 I rejoice at your word, as one who finds great spoil. 163 I hate and abhor falsehood but I love Your law. 164 Seven times in a day I praise You For Your righteous ordinances. 165 Great peace have they who love thy law: and nothing shall cause them to stumble. 166 I hope for your salvation, O LORD, and do your commands. 167 I obey your laws and love them exceedingly. 168 I have obeyed your precepts and your testimonies, for all my ways are before you. 169 Let my cry come before you, O LORD; give me understanding according to your word. 170 Let my supplication come before you: deliver me according to your word. 171 May my lips utter praise, for you teach me your statutes. 172 Let my tongue sing of your word, for all your commandments are righteousness. 173 Let your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts. 174 I long for your salvation, O LORD, and your law is my delight. 175 Let me live that it may praise you. May your ordinances help me. 176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant; for I have not forgotten Your commandments.

Psalms 120:1-150:6

1 A Song of Ascents. I cried to the LORD in my distress, and he responded to me. 2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue! 3 What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, deceitful tongue? 4 The arrows of the hero sharpened, with burning coals of broom. 5 Woe is me, that I live in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar! 6 I have lived too long with those who hate peace. 7 I am for peace, but when I speak, they are for war.

Psalms 121:1-150:6

1 A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not give your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 the LORD is your protector; the LORD is your shade at your right hand. 6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The LORD will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. 8 The LORD will guard your goings and comings, from this time on and forever.

Psalms 122:1-150:6

1 A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoiced in those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD." 2 Our feet are standing In your gateways, O Jerusalem, 3 Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together: 4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, to the testimony of Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD. 5 for there the thrones of judgment settle - the thrones of the house of David. 6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be at ease. 7 May peace be within your walls, security within your palaces." 8 For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will say, "Peace be within you." 9 For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good.

Psalms 123:1-150:6

1 A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to you, the one enthroned in the heavens. 2 Look, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress; so our eyes look to the LORD, our God, until he has mercy on us. 3 Have mercy on us, LORD, have mercy on us, for we have endured much contempt. 4 For long enough have men of pride made sport of our soul.

Psalms 124:1-150:6

1 A Song of degrees of David. ¶ If the LORD had not been for us, now may Israel say, 2 if the LORD had not been on our side, when men came against us, 3 then they had swallowed us alive when they kindled their wrath against us: 4 Then the flood waters would have overwhelmed us, the torrent would have flooded over us; 5 the swollen waters would have swept us away. 6 Praise be to the Lord, who has not let us be wounded by their teeth. 7 Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowlers' snare; the snare is broken, and we have escaped. 8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.

Psalms 125:1-150:6

1 A song of ascents. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people from this time forth and forevermore. 3 For the scepter of wickedness won't remain over the allotment of the righteous; so that the righteous won't use their hands to do evil. 4 Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in heart. 5 And those who turn aside to their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them with the evildoers. Peace be upon Israel.

Psalms 126:1-150:6

1 When the LORD brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream. 2 Then our mouths were filled with laughter, and our tongues formed joyful shouts. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them." 3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad. 4 Restore our fortunes again, LORD, like the streams in the Negev. 5 Those who sow in tears will reap in joy. 6 He who goes out weeping, carrying seed for sowing, will certainly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves.

Psalms 127:1-150:6

1 A Song of Ascents. By Solomon. Unless the LORD builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain. 2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. 3 Children are an inheritance from the LORD. They are a blessing from him. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. 5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They shall not be put to shame when they speak with their enemies in the gate.

Psalms 128:1-150:6

1 A song of ascents. Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways. 2 for you eat the labor of your palms; blithed - and good with you 3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house. Your children will be like olive shoots about your table. 4 Look, thus is the man blessed who fears the LORD. 5 May the LORD bless you from Zion so that you may see Jerusalem prosper all the days of your life. 6 And may you see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel.

Psalms 129:1-150:6

1 A song of ascents. "Too often they have attacked me from my youth." Let Israel say, 2 Often they distressed me from my youth, Yet they have not prevailed over me. 3 The plowers plowed on my back. They made their furrows long. 4 The LORD is righteous he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked. 5 Let all who hate Zion be turned away and be ashamed. 6 Let them be like grass on the housetops, that withers before it grows up, 7 with which a reaper cannot fill his hand, nor the binder of sheaves his arms, 8 Nor do those who pass by say: "The blessing of the LORD be upon you! We bless you in the name of the LORD."

Psalms 130:1-150:6

1 A song of ascents. Out of the depths I call to you, O LORD. 2 Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions. 3 If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? 4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that you may be feared. 5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His Word I hope. 6 My soul longs for the Lord more than watchmen long for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning. 7 O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption 8 He will redeem Israel from all their sins.

Psalms 131:1-150:6

1 LORD, my heart isn't haughty, nor my eyes lofty; nor do I concern myself with great matters, or things too wonderful for me. 2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me. 3 O Israel, hope in the LORD from now until forever.

Psalms 132:1-150:6

1 [A song of ascents.] LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions: 2 Remember how he swore an oath to the LORD and made this vow to the Mighty One of Jacob. 3 "I will not enter my house, or lie down on my bed, 4 I will give no sleep to my eyes, no slumber to my eyelids, 5 until I find out a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob." 6 We heard about it in Ephrata; we found it in the fields of Jaar. 7 Let us go to his dwelling place. Let us worship at his footstool. 8 Arise, LORD, and go to your resting place, you and the ark of your strength. 9 Let your priests be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!” 10 For the sake of your servant David do not reject your anointed one. 11 The LORD made an oath to David from which he will not retreat: "One of your sons I will set in place on your throne. 12 If your sons keep my covenant and my statutes that I will teach them, then their sons will also sit on your throne forever." 13 For the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling. 14 "This is my resting place forever. Here I will live, for I have desired it. 15 I will bless its provisions abundantly; I will satiate its poor with food.f 16 And I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints shall shout aloud for joy. 17 There I will cause a horn to grow for David; I will set a lamp for my anointed one. 18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will be resplendent."

Psalms 133:1-150:6

1 A song of ascents. Of David. Look, how good and how pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity. 2 It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard, Aaron's beard, coming down upon the edge of his robes. 3 Like the dew of Hermon, which fell upon the hill of Zion. For there the LORD promised his blessing, and life forevermore.

Psalms 134:1-150:6

1 Behold, praise the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who stand by night in the house of the LORD. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and praise the LORD. 3 May the LORD who fashions heaven and earth bless you from Zion.

Psalms 135:1-150:6

1 Praise the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD. Praise him, you servants of the LORD, 2 you who stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God. 3 Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good. Sing praises to his name, for that is pleasant. 4 For the LORD has chosen Jacob for himself; Israel for his own possession. 5 For I know that the LORD is great, and our Lord is greater than all gods. 6 The LORD does whatever pleases him in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all its deep regions. 7 He causes clouds to rise from the edge of the earth; he makes lightnings for the rain; he brings out the wind from his storehouses. 8 He struck the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and animal. 9 He sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants. 10 He struck many nations, and killed mighty kings, 11 Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan, 12 and he gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to his people Israel. 13 Your name, LORD, endures forever; your renown, LORD, throughout all generations. 14 For the LORD will judge his people, and have compassion on his servants. 15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, Work of the hands of man. 16 They have a mouth, but cannot speak: eyes they have, but they cannot see; 17 they have ears, but they do not hear, nor is there breath in their mouths. 18 Those who make them will be like them, yes, everyone who trusts in them. 19 O house of Israel, praise the LORD. O house of Aaron, praise the LORD. 20 O house of Levi, praise the LORD. You who fear the LORD, praise the LORD. 21 Blessed be the LORD from Zion, Who dwells at Jerusalem. Praise the LORD.

Psalms 136:1-150:6

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His grace endures forever. 2 Give thanks to the God of gods; for His grace endures forever. 3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords; for His grace endures forever: 4 to Him who alone does great wonders; for His grace endures forever: 5 to Him who by understanding made the heavens; for His grace endures forever: 6 to Him who spread out the earth above the waters; for His grace endures forever: 7 Who made the great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever. 8 the sun to rule by day; for His grace endures forever; 9 the moon and stars to rule by night; for His grace endures forever: 10 to Him who struck down the Egyptian firstborn; for His grace endures forever; 11 and brought Israel out from among them; for His mercy endures forever; 12 With a mighty hand and stretched-out arm! For his mercy endureth forever. 13 to Him who divided the Red Sea apart; for His grace endures forever; 14 and brought Israel through the midst of it; for His mercy endures forever; 15 but threw Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea; for His mercy endures forever. 16 to him, who led his people through the desert; for his mercy endureth forever; 17 To Him who struck down great kings; for His mercy endures forever; 18 and killed mighty kings; for His grace endures forever: 19 Sihon king of the Amorites; for His grace endures forever; 20 and Og king of Bashan; for His mercy endures forever; 21 and gave their land as an inheritance; for His grace endures forever; 22 an inheritance to His servant Israel; for His mercy endures forever; 23 For the Lord remembered us in our low estate; for His mercy endures forever; 24 and redeemed us from our enemies; for His mercy endures forever. 25 who gives food to every creature; for His grace endures forever. 26 Give thanks to the God of heaven; for His mercy endures forever.

Psalms 137:1-150:6

1 By the waters of Babylon we sat down; and wept, when we remembered Zion. 2 On the willows there we hung our harps, 3 For there, those who led us captive asked us for songs. Those who tormented us demanded songs of joy: "Sing us one of the songs of Zion." 4 How could we sing the song of the LORD in a foreign land? 5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill. 6 Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy. 7 Remember, O LORD, against the sons of Edom, the day of Jerusalem; who said, Lay [it] bare, Lay [it] bare, down to its foundation! 8 Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, he will be happy who repays you, as you have done to us. 9 Blessed is he who seizes your little ones and dashes them against the stone!

Psalms 138:1-150:6

1 Of David. I give you thanks with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise. 2 I will bow down toward Your holy temple, and give thanks to Your Name for Your grace and for Your truth; for You have exalted above all things your name and your word. 3 When I called, you answered me. You made me bold. You strengthened me. 4 All the kings of the earth shall praise you, O LORD, when they hear the words of your mouth. 5 Yes, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD; for the glory of the LORD is great. 6 Though the LORD is high, yet He looks upon the lowly; but the proud He knows from afar. 7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve me alive. You stretch out your hand against the anger of my enemies, and you save me with your right hand. 8 the LORD will perfect His work in me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake the work of Your own hands.

Psalms 139:1-150:6

1 For the music director. Of David. A psalm. O LORD, you have searched me, and you know me. 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up. You understand my thought from afar. 3 Thou measurest my going about and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. 4 For not a word is on my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, You know it all. 5 You hem me in behind and before, You have laid Your hand on me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; too high, I cannot attain unto it. 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to heaven, you are there: or if I make my bed in the underworld, you are there. 9 If I lift up the wings of the dawn, and I alight on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me. 11 If I say: Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light around me. 12 even the darkness doesn’t hide from you, but the night shines as the day. The darkness is like light to you. 13 For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you, because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works, and my soul knows it well. 15 My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my embryo and all were written in your book; the days ordained for me. Even this before one had taken place. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God. How vast is the sum of them. 18 If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with you. 19 If only you, God, would kill the wicked. Get away from me, you bloodthirsty men! 20 For they go against you with evil designs, and your haters make sport of your name. 21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD? And do I not loathe those who rise up against you? 22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them my enemies. 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalms 140:1-150:6

1 For the music director. A psalm of David. Rescue me, O LORD, from evil men. Preserve me from violent men, 2 who craft evil plans in their minds, inciting wars every day. 3 They sharpen their tongue as sharp as a snake's; the venom of a viper is under their lips. Selah 4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the man of violence, who have purposed to overthrow my steps. 5 The proud have hidden a snare for me, they have spread the cords of a net by the path. They have set traps for me. Selah. 6 I have said to the Lord, You are my God: give ear, O Lord, to the voice of my prayer. 7 LORD, my Lord, my strong deliverer, you have protected my head in the time of battle. 8 LORD, do not grant the desires of the wicked. Do not let their evil plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah. 9 Let the heads of those who surround me be covered with their own threats. 10 Let burning coals fall upon them! Let them be cast into fire, into miry pits, no more to rise. 11 Let not the slanderer become established in the land. May evil quickly hunt down the violent man. 12 I know that the lord shall deal with the case of the poor, and the cause of the needy. 13 Surely the righteous will give thanks to your name, while the upright live in your presence.

Psalms 141:1-150:6

1 A Psalm of David. O LORD, I cry to You; hasten to me; hear my voice when I cry to You. 2 Let my prayer be set before you like incense; the lifting up of my hands like the evening sacrifice. 3 Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips. 4 Let not my heart turn aside to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men who work iniquity; and let me not eat of their delicacies. 5 Let the righteous strike me, it is kindness; let him reprove me, it is like oil on the head; don't let my head refuse it; Yet my prayer is always against evil deeds. 6 Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock. They will hear my words, for they are well spoken. 7 As when one plows and breaks up the earth, so our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol. 8 But my eyes are on You, O Sovereign LORD; in You I take refuge, do not leave my soul naked. 9 Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, from the traps of evildoers. 10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass over.

Psalms 142:1-150:6

1 I cry with my voice to the LORD. With my voice, I ask the LORD for mercy. 2 I pour out my complaint before him. I tell him my troubles. 3 When my spirit faints within me, you know my way. On the path where I walk, they have hidden a trap for me; 4 Look on my right, and see; for there is no one who is concerned for me. Refuge has fled from me. No one cares for my soul. 5 I cry out to you, O LORD. I say, "You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living." 6 Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need. Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me. 7 Release me from prison so that I may praise your name. Righteous people will surround me because you are good to me.

Psalms 143:1-150:6

1 A psalm of David. O LORD, hear my prayer; listen to my supplications. In your faithfulness answer me, and in your righteousness. 2 And do not enter into judgment with your servant, because no one alive is righteous before you. 3 For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground. He has made me dwell in dark places like those long dead. 4 And so my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is desolate. 5 I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your doings. I muse on the labor of your hands. 6 I spread out my hands to you. My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. Selah. 7 Answer me quickly, O LORD for my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will become like those who go down to the pit. 8 In the morning let me hear of your gracious love, for in you I trust. Cause me to know the way I should take, because I have set my hope on you. 9 Deliver me from my enemies, O LORD. I take refuge in you. 10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground. 11 For your name's sake, O LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness bring me out of trouble. 12 In your loving kindness, cut off my enemies and destroy all those who afflict me. For I am your servant.

Psalms 144:1-150:6

1 By David. Blessed is the LORD my rock, who is teaching My hands for war, my fingers for battle. 2 my loyal love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, and one in whom I take refuge, the one who subdues peoples under me. 3 LORD, what is man, that you care for him? Or the son of man, that you think of him? 4 Man is like the breath: his days are like a passing shadow. 5 Part your heavens, LORD, and come down. Touch the mountains, and they will smoke. 6 Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy, shoot your arrows and confuse them. 7 Stretch out your hands from on high; Rescue me and deliver me from many waters, from the hand of foreigners, 8 Their mouths speak lies, and their right hand deceives, 9 I will sing a new song to you, God. On a ten-stringed lyre, I will sing praises to you. 10 You who gives salvation to kings, who delivers His servant David from the evil sword. 11 Rescue me and deliver me from the control of foreigners, whose mouths speak lies, and whose right hand deceives. 12 Then our sons will be like well-nurtured plants, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace. 13 Our barns will be full, filled with all kinds of provision; our sheep will bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields. 14 Our oxen will pull heavy loads, there will be no breaking in and no going away, and no crying in our streets. 15 Blessed are the people who have it thus. Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD.

Psalms 145:1-150:6

1 A praise psalm by David. I will exalt you, my God, the King. I will praise your name forever and ever. 2 Every day I will praise you. I will extol your name forever and ever. 3 Great is the LORD, and very worthy of praise, and his greatness is unsearchable. 4 One generation will commend your works to another, and will declare your mighty acts. 5 I will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty, and of Your wonderful works. 6 And they will speak of the power of your awesome deeds, and I will tell of your greatness. 7 They will utter the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness. 8 the LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in loyal love. 9 the LORD is good to all, And His compassions are over all His works." 10 All your works will give thanks to you, the LORD. Your saints will extol you. 11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your might; 12 To make known to the children of men his mighty acts, and the glorious splendour of his kingdom. 13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your dominion endures throughout all generations. the LORD is faithful in all his words, and loving in all his deeds. 14 the LORD upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down. 15 The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due time. 16 You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing. 17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and faithful in all his deeds. 18 the LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. 19 He fulfilleth the desire of them that fear him; he heareth their cry, and saveth them. 20 the LORD watches over all those who love Him; but all the wicked He will destroy. 21 My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD! All flesh will praise his holy name forever and ever.

Psalms 146:1-150:6

1 Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. 2 I will praise the LORD while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I am still alive. 3 Don’t put your trust in princes, in a son of man in whom there is no help. 4 When they stop breathing, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans evaporate! 5 Blessed is he whose helper is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God: 6 who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them, the one who keeps faith forever, 7 He executes justice for the oppressed. He gives food to the hungry. the LORD sets the prisoners free. 8 the LORD gives sight to the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are weighed down. The LORD loves the righteous. 9 the LORD protects the strangers. He supports the fatherless and the widow, but he overthrows the way of the wicked. 10 The LORD will reign forever; your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD.

Psalms 147:1-150:6

1 Praise the LORD, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to praise him. 2 the LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel. 3 He heals the broken-hearted, and binds up their wounds. 4 He determines the number of the stars; he calls them all by their names. 5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; his understanding is infinite 6 The LORD upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground. 7 Sing to the LORD a song of thanksgiving. Make music to our God with a harp. 8 He covers the sky with clouds. He provides rain for the ground. He makes grass grow on the mountains. 9 He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call. 10 He takes no delight in the strength of the horse, nor any pleasure in the legs of a man. 11 the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, the ones who hope for his loyal love. 12 Laud the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion, 13 for he strengthens the bars of your gates. He blesses your children within you; 14 He grants peace within your borders, satisfying you with the finest of wheat. 15 He sends out his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly. 16 He gives snow like wool: he scatters the frost like ashes. 17 He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold? 18 He sends out his word and melts them; he blows his breath, the water flows. 19 He speaks his word to Jacob, his laws and judgments to Israel. 20 He has not done this for just any nation. They do not know his ordinances. Praise the LORD.

Let them make music to him with tambourines and lyres. 4 For the LORD takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation. 5 Let the saints rejoice in honor. Let them sing for joy on their beds. 6 May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand, 7 to execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with fetters, and their nobles with manacles of iron; 9 to carry out on them the judgment written; this is an honor for all His saints. Praise the LORD!

Do not even Gentiles do the same? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.
