⁸ I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. ⁹ Do not be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you. ¹⁰ Many sorrows come to the wicked, but loving kindness shall surround him who trusts in Yahweh.

If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? ³ And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me, so that you may be where I am. ⁴ You know the way to the place where I am going.”

⁷ For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power and love and self-discipline.

⁵ If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

⁹ Haven't I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin. ²⁹ But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was arrayed like one of these. ³⁰ If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? ³¹ Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' ³² For the pagans pursue all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them. ³³ But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you as well. ³⁴ Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own.

⁷ Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.

⁶ Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. ⁷ And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
