Bible verses about "antichrist" | VIN

Matthew 24:5

5 For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

1 John 4:1-3

1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 But every spirit who does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist. You have heard that he is coming, and now he is already in the world.

Revelation 19:20

20 But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed signs on his behalf, by which he deceived those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Both of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

2 Thessalonians 2:4

4 Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

Revelation 13:16-17

16 And he causes everyone, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand, or on his forehead: 17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

Revelation 13:1

1 And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on his horns, and on his heads were blasphemous names.

1 John 2:18

18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come; by this we know that it is the last hour.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-12

3 Do not let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. 5 Do ye not remember, that when I was with you, I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but the one who now restrains it will continue until he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the power of Satan. He will use every kind of power, including miraculous signs, lying wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who are to perish, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason, God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie, 12 and so that all may be condemned who have not believed the truth but have taken pleasure in wickedness.

1 John 2:22

22 Who is the liar, if it is not the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son.

2 John 1:7

7 For many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Revelation 13:1-18

1 And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on his horns, and on his heads were blasphemous names. 2 The beast I saw looked like a leopard. His feet were like the feet of a bear. His mouth was like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 One of the heads of the beast appeared to be fatally wounded. But the mortal wound was healed, and the whole world was astonished and followed the beast. 4 Men worshipped the dragon, because he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshipped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who can make war against him?" 5 It was allowed to utter great boasts and blasphemies, and to exert authority for forty-two months. 6 He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, to slander his name, and his dwelling place, and those who live in heaven. 7 It was allowed to wage war against the saints and to conquer them. It was also given authority over every tribe, people, languages, and nation. 8 And all who dwell on the earth wilt worship him, every one whose name hath not been written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. 9 He who has an ear, let him hear. 10 If anyone is going into captivity, into captivity he goes. If anyone is to be killed by the sword, by the sword he is to be killed. Here is the patient endurance and the faith of the saints. 11 I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. 12 He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in the sight of men. 14 Because of the signs it was given to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived those who dwell on the earth, telling them to make an image to the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet had lived. 15 The second beast was permitted to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image would also speak and cause all who refused to worship it to be killed. 16 And he causes everyone, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand, or on his forehead: 17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom: He who has understanding, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is a number of a man. And its number is 666
