¹⁷ He that has pity upon the poor lends unto the LORD; and that which he has given will he pay him again.

²⁹ Let no corrupt communication (o. logos) proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. ³⁰ And grieve not the holy Spirit (o. pneuma) of God, whereby all of you are sealed unto the day of redemption. ³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: ³² And be all of you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

¹⁴ For all the law is fulfilled in one word, (o. logos) even in this; You shall love your neighbour as yourself.

¹⁷ Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy; ¹⁸ That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; ¹⁹ Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

¹⁵ See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

⁵ And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; ⁶ And to knowledge wilful restrain; and to wilful restrain patience; and to patience godliness; ⁷ And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. (o. agape)

¹² This is my commandment, That all of you love one another, as I have loved you. ¹³ Greater love (o. agape) has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. ¹⁴ All of you are my friends, if all of you do whatsoever I command you.

³ Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

⁸ Finally, be all of you all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

³⁵ But love all of you your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and all of you shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

⁴ Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
