¹⁹ Think upon me, my God, for good, according to all that I have done for this people.

²⁸ For which of you, intending to build a tower, sits not down first, and counts the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, (o. agape) which all of you have showed toward his name, in that all of you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

²⁵ I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

¹ To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: ² A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; ³ A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; ⁴ A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; ⁵ A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; ⁶ A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; ⁷ A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; ⁸ A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. ⁹ What profit has he that works in that wherein he labours? ¹⁰ I have seen the travail, which God has given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

¹⁶ Let your work appear unto your servants, and your glory unto their children. ¹⁷ And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish you the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish you it.

³³ Sell that all of you have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches, neither moth corrupts. ³⁴ For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

⁶ Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

¹⁷ Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy; ¹⁸ That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; ¹⁹ Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

²² A good man left an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

¹² The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. ¹³ Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. ¹⁴ They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

¹⁹ Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust does corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: ²⁰ But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust does corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: ²¹ For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

¹⁶ And he spoke a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: ¹⁷ And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? ¹⁸ And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. ¹⁹ And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have much goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry. ²⁰ But God said unto him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have provided? ²¹ So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

⁷ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

²³ And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.

²³ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ²⁴ This is it that belongs unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: ²⁵ And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more: ²⁶ But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shall you do unto the Levites concerning their charge.

²⁴ But none of these things (o. logos) move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

¹¹ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
