³⁶ And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to food. ³⁷ And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at food in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, ³⁸ And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. ³⁹ Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that touches him: for she is a sinner. ⁴⁰ And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto you. And he says, Master, say on. ⁴¹ There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. ⁴² And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? ⁴³ Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, You have rightly judged. ⁴⁴ And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, See you this woman? I entered into your house, you gave me no water for my feet: but she has washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. ⁴⁵ You gave me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in has not ceased to kiss my feet. ⁴⁶ My head with oil you did not anoint: but this woman has anointed my feet with ointment. ⁴⁷ Wherefore I say unto you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little. ⁴⁸ And he said unto her, Your sins are forgiven. ⁴⁹ And they that sat at food with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgives sins also? ⁵⁰ And he said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.

³³ When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, (o. pneuma) and was troubled. ³⁴ And said, Where have all of you laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. ³⁵ Jesus wept.

³⁴ A new commandment I give unto you, That all of you love one another; as I have loved you, that all of you also love one another. ³⁵ By this shall all men know that all of you are my disciples, if all of you have love (o. agape) one to another.

² Bear all of you one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

³ Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; ⁴ Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. ¹⁵ For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. ¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

³ Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

²⁹ Let no corrupt communication (o. logos) proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

²⁶ And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

³ Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

¹² Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

¹² This is my commandment, That all of you love one another, as I have loved you.

⁸ Finally, be all of you all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

¹² Therefore all things whatsoever all of you would that men should do to you, do all of you even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

³² And be all of you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

¹⁵ Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
