¹⁰ Be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

¹ Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! ² It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; ³ As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

¹⁰ Have we not all one father? has not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

²⁹ Let no corrupt communication (o. logos) proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

² Fulfill all of you my joy, that all of you be likeminded, having the same love, (o. agape) being of one accord, of one mind.

³⁴ A new commandment I give unto you, That all of you love one another; as I have loved you, that all of you also love one another.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for all of you are all one in Christ Jesus.

¹ Let brotherly love continue.

³⁵ By this shall all men know that all of you are my disciples, if all of you have love (o. agape) one to another.

¹⁰ For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falls; for he has not another to help him up. ¹¹ Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? ¹² And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

¹⁷ Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

¹⁷ A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

²⁰ If a man say, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
